Convenient free stay for service. Full electrical hook ups, no water or sewage. But, you can drive your RV just up the street to the Winnebago rally grounds and find 4 easily accessible dump stations and also city water connect just beyond the dump stations. Just look for the spigot without the pad lock on it . It's on the right side of the outbound lane of the rally park. So after dumping, follow the paved road that circles around to the outbound lane. After passing all the dump stations look to the right for the spigot without the padlock. Fill your fresh tank and drive back to your service camp site. We camped at Winnebago Service Campground (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Service camp tip: If you're able to get a site in the parking lot, on the mornings of your appointment, the service tech will meet you at your coach after you disconnect power and put slides in, and then he/she will drive it to the service garage. If you park in the gravel service camp sites, you'll need to disconnect and drive your coach into the paved service parking lot to meet your service advisor. Then the service tech will drive it to the garage.

We stayed upon the hill across from the Winnebago service center for 21 days. Electric 50 amps is made available, we got a permit from service center in order to stay. It's clean, higher ground, and a very pleasant expierence. We were able to utilize the water and dump station at the WIC camping area just around the corner. It was a great place to wait for our RV to be repaired...The daily cost was FREE. We camped at Winnebago Service Campground (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

There are about 18 sites near Cust. Service with electric only. There are about 14 more up a hill by the Visitors Center. You have to go to a city park or Winnebago's rally grounds to dump and get water. We camped at Winnebago Service Campground (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We came here for expert-level service on our 10-year old Winnebago motorhome. June is within their busy season, so we made service appointment back 4 months ago. There are 50-amp hookups in their service section, but now sewer or water. There is dump station and potable water available nearby in their WIT rally field. Most sites filled up during the late afternoon, but there was always a few vacant sites at the end of the day, at least during our stay. We camped at Winnebago Service Campground (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is only one laundromat in Forest City. After seeing its condition first hand, we traveled 12 miles south, where we found Lucky's Laundromat. Lucky's did not show up on our map search. Lucky's is a small but suitably clean and equipped. It is located at 961 W 3rd St in Garner, IA 50438 (43.102194, -93.611667).

CDI at 305 Nerem Dr in Forest City was recommended as a reliable and popular motorhome collision shop.

Great convenience to have electric hook-ups, level pavement or gravel site and free Wi-Fi while having an RV serviced at the Winnebago factory. A dump and potable water are available across the highway at the rally grounds. Also nice to take the factory tour offered twice a day. We camped at Winnebago Service Campground (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: October, 2012 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This "campground" is for folks having service at the Winnebago factory. About 15 sites at the service center have 50 amps, as do about 10 sites at the welcome center. Sites in the "rally area" have only 30 amp, but the OTA TV is better. Water and dump station are located at the rally campground. Rally sites are pull through and gravel with about 20' of grass between sites which are graveled for four RVs during the rallies, but normally only one RV per site is used. Rally area is quiet, neat, and clean but not fancy. We camped at Winnebago Service Campground (For Service Customers Only) in a Motorhome.
