Campground is about 20 miles east of Sioux City and is in a small quiet town. Has shade Campground has shade, and is very well manicured, Owners are always accessible and friendly. A very quiet and peaceful campground. - East Acres Campground
Aug 2015 - $20.00
Big place so bring a bicycle or drive there. It's quite a ways from the swimming beach to the campsites. You can tent camp closer to the beach / fishing pond but RV pads are farther. Two nice playgrounds for kids. Overall it's a nice place, we would go back. - iowasparrow

If you come through the main drag of Correctionville, you will need to do a 1/2 block jog. This is a correction in the survey lines and 3 townships meet at this corner. Playground equipment is located near the campground. Four camping cabins are available for rent as well. Approximately 50 non-electrical campsites are located on the west side of the lake with access to modern restrooms and showers. The Union Bridge Trail connects the park to the town of Correctionville with a ten foot wide concrete path that winds through scenic areas and crossing the Little Sioux River with a spectacular bridge. The 10-acre lake has angling opportunities for large-mouth bass, bluegill and channel catfish. Only electric trolling motors, oars and paddles are allowed on all county owned lakes. There is a designated swimming beach area. Hiking trails offer opportunities to explore the marsh, native trees, shrub plantings, native prairies and food plots. - stetwood

This is a place we will come back to again and again. The beach and swimming area beat any swimming pool in the area, especially for youngsters. The park was clean and quiet even though we went over the 4th of July. Another reason to go here is you could see the town firework show from our site perfectly. The showers are new and well kept. The only thing of note not to like is the bugs. After a big rain and in the heat you can expect bugs nestled in between a pond and a creek, but to be honest, stay by the fire or in the water and you never notice them. - sucp123
Sep 2017 - $18.00
This is a city park. There is lots of shade. It has a large pond and some kids were catching fish and having a great time. There is a golf course next to the campground. We didn't see any geese at all when we were there. The camp host was very accommodating an very friendly. There is a Blue Bunny ice cream museum and soda fountain. The ice cream was great, the museum was very disappointing. We camped here in a 5th wheel and would definitely stay here again. - DBT

The hosts are so amazing. We talked to them several times over the course of a few months as we were making arrangements and they were just awesome. Helped me pull off a great surprise for my best friend and put us in 2 great sites next to each other. Sites are a little close for privacy but totally worth it for the peace and quiet atmosphere. Brand new shower house was built recently and it's beautiful. The lake that the campground borders is beautiful and great for swimming and fishing. The Blue Bunny Ice Cream Parlor is right downtown only a few miles down the road. There is no dump station on site but it's literally 3 blocks down the road. Can't beat $18 for electric and water! Will definitely be camping here again when in the area! - Dan-Nichelle Inman
Apr 2019 - $34.00
Quite possibly the nicest city-run campground I have ever stayed at. Was going to spend only 2 nights, but a late spring blizzard in SD forced us to stay 6 nights. Luckily they had a lot of spaces to choose from. Long and wide sites. A lot of space between sites. Easy to maneuver around the loop roads as long as one of the permanent residents doesn't decide to park half in the road. Some sites have a nice view of the river. No fenced dog run, but lots of places to walk the dog. Too bad some permanent residents do not pick up their dogs' waste. Reported it to the office, no idea if they will tell the offender to clean their mess. Plenty to do in Sioux City. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. - TH travelers
Sep 2018 - $26.00
Wonderful City Owned/Operated park right on the Missouri River. 5 minutes from downtown Sioux City, IA and all that it has to offer. Our site was a backin (#5) and was plenty long for both trailer and tow vehicle. Utilities well placed and we had no problems getting in nor out. Campground has firewood for sale as well as a bike rental to cruise the bike route through the city and along the river. Some construction happening in the East side of the park which will add or upgrade a few more sites. Only negative is that their Wi-Fi was spotty. But for the price and location, this is a great park. - Codys Family
Sep 2018 - $26.00
A great little city park right on the Missouri River, directly across from Sioux City, Iowa. Our site (#41) was back-in, had a cement pad and full hook-ups including cable. We weren't right on the river but it was in our view directly in front of us. Roads are paved and easy to navigate. Some seasonals here but park is well maintained. Very quiet at night. The rate can't be beat. AT&T signal was strong, T-Mobile partner had strong signal but no data. We would stay here again if in the area. - MangoandJune
Sep 2012 - $18.00
No reservations accepted, walk-in only. Quiet peaceful campground with walking trails through beautiful wooded area. Walking/horse trails are not for the weak or frail! These trails have some very steep hills. Trails are well marked and wide. Water is not the best, so we did not use it in our camper, definitely would need a water filter system if you hooked up to the hydrant. I boiled water to make baggie omelets, and had a good amount of sediment in the bottom of my pan when I dumped it. Restrooms/showers were rustic, but clean and had good pressure for showers. Road entering campground is dirt and very steep and had large washed out ruts along the side of it. I would worry about getting out pulling a camper if it rained very much. Small pond for fishing. I would definitely come again, very nice place. - livin'the_life
