Marvelous campground. The sites are gravel and, as others have stated, there are only 29 full hook-up sites but the others have 50A electricity and there is a dump. We've stayed at both the full hook-ups and electricity only and they are all good. The sites are mostly level and the hook-ups are good but the sewer is way at the back of the site. There are lots of trees and grass between sites. there is a nice trail around the lake and a bird watching cover on it. It goes over a dam and around a memorial site.Very nice trail. There is a limit of 14 days between Memorial and Labor Days but otherwise, you can stay as long as you wish. there are lots of area workers who live here between Labor and Memorial Days and it is hard to get a full hook-up site. On weekends, the park fills up. - swike

This campground DOES have WiFi!! It's awesome, too! We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The only downside is that they do not take any reservations, and we were fortunate to get the last full hook up spot. There are 29 FHU's! You must like kids, as this park was full of them, and they aren't cautious around all of the rigs and vehicles, so you have to watch out for them. My kids would have had a ball here when they were younger. Be sure to pack something for them to ride on, with wheels. Razor scooters seemed to be a popular choice. The restrooms were clean and the showers were nicely laid out for privacy, showering and changing clothes. You could even put your foot on the bench to shave your legs! One set of neighbors were very friendly and helpful, while the others kept to themselves and their group. There were many younger parents who still partied outside after the 10:30 quiet time, but with your A/C on, you couldn't hear them. I would go back here in a heartbeat! I went with my hubby, son (11) and our dog. Just wish they took reservations!! If you golf, bring your clubs as the course is right next to the campgrounds. 10 minute, easy drive to Fort Dodge and Walmart, Target and restaurants. If you come from the East, stay on highway 20 to Fort Dodge, don't go through Webster City...it's really not faster and it is more narrow roads. - MRStroud

Really Beautiful park on golf course. Spots are level. Has a museum. We liked Frank A. Gotch Park (15 minutes away) better. - User3782

One of the nicest camp sites we've ever stayed in! Camp host was great. 2 week limit then must leave for 72 hours before moving back. NO RSVP's taken, 1st come, first serve so people paid for spaces all week but didn't show up till weekend. Pretty open during week but busy weekends & packed out holidays! Wifi didn't work but great Verizon coverage. Check website. Loved this place! - User3782

This is a city park with full hookups. The sites are back-in, but fairly level. View out the rear window is buildings. No showers or restrooms we were aware of. A nice city park is right out the front door. There is a large grass area for dog walking. Well worth the price. - RedSoloCup

Pretty small grass sites with some sites with water at the electrical boxes. Right on the East Fork of the DM River. Great playground, horseshoe pits, near walking trail, very helpful host. - Crop Guy

We found this little gem after discovering that another park was full. This park has many mature trees over a lot of the sites, and godsend during the hot, oppressive weather we endured during our stay. We did not stay over a weekend, so don't know how busy it might be then. The sites included 30- and 50-amp power and water, both of which were strong. The pull-through sites were plenty long for a motor home and car or trailer, and they were gravel as were the interior roads. Our site was level enough to not require our jacks. This place probably would be a perfect "10" with sewer hookups at the sites and walking trails, but there were several trails at other nearby parks, and the dump station was fine for our 3-night stay. There was equipment for kids to play on, and plenty of open areas for dogs to run. We really liked this park and added an extra night. - LowesTravels
