Nov 2018 - $33.00
Sites are close but staff was very helpful. Would probably stay here again. - KingFisher2
Jul 2018 - $32.00
This was the 2nd time I stayed here (last time in 2013). Needed a place to stay for the night on a long trip. The park is small with not a lot of extra space. Seems to have some long term residents. The manager was very nice & friendly & showed me where to park. As luck would have it, the park was having a 'customer appreciation night', so they had burgers, hot dogs etc. in the club house. It is a fairly quiet place. I would stay there again if in the area for a day or so. - Ms. K
May 2018 - $32.00
There are several long term campers. It did have a small dog park. The electric was weak. My volt meter was reading 113, with out turning the air on. I had to use my booster to get the power up to run the air. It was a very hot day. The park did offer free WI FI and cable. - Joceil

Apr 2017 - $15.00
This park is small, but clean. The owner was very friendly. The park has only 10 sites. - Joceil
Jul 2016 - $13.00
It was exactly what we were looking for in an overnight stop. The sites were gravel, level, and well-shaded. The area was nice and quiet. The grounds were well-tended. - junmy3
Jun 2015 - $13.00
This is a small jewel hidden in the prairies of Kansas. It is a great place for an overnight stay. Price was for 30 Amp, water and sewer. Water pressure was 40 psi. The sewer connector is threaded. The circuit breakers are at the house next to the office, not at the pedestals. The park was a well maintained, landscaped park with gravel driveways and pads. There are no pull through sites. There were grassy areas between each of the pads. There are no picnic tables and fire rings. The park was mowed and there were mature shade trees at most of the sites. There was no cable TV and we couldn't get any over-the-air channels out of Wichita (58 miles away) or Emporia (41 miles away). ATT phone service was 5 out of 5 bars; Verizon was 2 out of 5 bars. There was no trash pickup at the sites. There was no WiFi. We'll stay here again. - RVTravelerToo

Sep 2018 - $31.00
We paid a $5.00 for day pass to get in the Park and then $26.00 for 1 Tuesday night. I see others paid less. I didn't see where the prices where posted. Park is huge and with many loops. Sites are reasonably large and not that close, but i think that would depend on what loop you where in. There was know one else where we where so we had no neighbors. Nice Park and well maintained. Think would be crowded on peak weekends. - HelmsMT
Jun 2018 - $20.00
This is a very large state park divided up into several different campgrounds scattered around Eldorado Lake. If you're looking for full hook ups the options are Walnut River campground with 50 amp service (Eagle Pass section), or Bluestem campground with 30 amp service (Sunflower Meadow). We stayed in Sunflower recently. Our site had ample shade and a nice view of the lake. The grass was trimmed nicely when we arrived and then mowed again 5 days later. The best sites for shade in Sunflower loop are 39, 45, 48, 53. The sites are large, well spaced, and level. City of Eldorado is nearby for any shopping needs. Wichita is only 25 miles away. Verizon signal 2 to 3 bars 4g. OTA TV channels very minimal. There are some 50 amp sites in other camping loops without sewer hookups. - benidew
Apr 2018 - $24.00
We arrived on a Sunday during the "busy" season before 5pm. No one was in the office, no paper maps just a map on the door that was very confusing. We did finally find our section, Eagle's Pass & spoke to the park host. We got to our site, #24 in loop 3. It is a full hook up site with a grill, firepit & table. There was cigarette butts & beer bottles all over the site. Very disappointing. We've been in other Kansas State Parks & this one wasn't up to par. - jcpjane

It was good for a couple of overnights. It's very close to access off highway but quiet at night. Don't expect any amenities. Some slots were close to trees but it wasn't busy while we were there. Talk to owner ahead for availability. - ks2spi

Lots of different sections/campgrounds to choose from. Some are overgrown & no longer in use. Our site in Fredonia Bay was semi-shaded & had a beautiful water view. There was a path down to the water/beach-type area. (Stay on the mowed areas, as there was poison ivy growing in the tall grassy areas.) The pad wasn't level and was gravel, and the rest of the site was grassy. Each site has 2 picnic tables and a fire ring. There is lots of driftwood laying around for firewood. Very nice playground area for the kiddos, and life jackets available to borrow (free) at the host's campsite. The beaches aren't your typical sandy beaches. They are really rocky in places, and extremely muddy - as in your feet sink 4-6" into the mud as you wade in. Lots of people kayaking and canoeing; and fellow campers had good luck with fishing. (Pretty sizeable catfish.) - Letsgetitpoppin
Sep 2013 - $27.00
This was a nice area. A couple miles off the highway on a good road. No highway noise, no trains. Dirt sites, some shade. We needed our Legos to get level but not a big deal. Water and electric available, but no sewer hookup. There is a dump station. I would rate this higher, but for the fees. We looked it up online and the rate was $17 a night. Once you get there you find there is another park usage fee of $8 if you don't have the Kansas park pass. Then another $5 for the vehicle fee. Not an extra vehicle, the RV itself. Kind of felt nickel dime a bit. - BMain
Jun 2010 - $22.00
We stayed in the Fredonia Bay Campground area; there are several different camping areas. All sites are back-in, but they are angled, spacious, and easy to get into. Most sites are very long, we didn't have to unhook our 30-foot travel trailer. There are lots of tall trees and shade. There are clean restrooms and showers, and a playground. Our aircard and Verizon cell worked fine. It was a convenient overnight stop, only 2 miles off highway 400, at at reasonable rate. The rate is for electric and water, there is a dump station. - trussman
