Sep 2017 - $30.00
I guess the best description is "a no frills RV park". It is a concrete pad off the highway that you can plug into electrical, water, and connect to sewer...for $30. Our pad was near new and near straight. It was long enough for our 37' with toad that did not require disconnect. Was told there were showers in the truck-travel plaza that we did not use. It worked well for us as all we wanted was a quiet place to rest our heads. We got what we asked for. There us no shade and what they now are weeds. Jack rabbits run crazy at night and fun to watch. We wouldn't hesitate to stop here again for a place to get off the road and ease of entrance/exit fir large rugs...without any frills! - Sweatlife
Jul 2017 - $30.00
This is basically a field with RV sites. The office is located near the trucker fuel pumps as you come into the location. The non concrete pads were really overgrown and there were weeds around the concrete ones. The best part was watching the jack rabbits in the area! It's okay for a few nights. - Tony Connie and Rusty
Jun 2017 - $35.00
This park is behind a travel plaza @ intersection of US Hwy 400 & US 83. It is a good overnight park. There are ground asphalt sites for $5 less, but they were covered in weeds. We were not bothered by road noise or trucks in the plaza. Beware there a feed lot South of 400 that when wind blew right it could be smelled. We felt safe here. - slawrence
Nov 2018 - $15.00
No frills camping "field" in the middle of farmland. All utilities worked fine. Site was fairly level. Water was clear and odorless. Good place to set down for a few days at a cheap price. Looks like several people live here in older trailers. Park needs a little TLC, dog waste pick up and a laundry. But we felt safe & owner was nice & friendly. Honor box to pay. - CJVJn1Doug

This is a very no frills basic stop over campground. The majority of sites are permanent residents and not all of them are very well kept. The road is rather rutted. The owners are not on site so it is self check in and leave your payment in the box provided. It was hard to determine where the sites were and to find one that didn't have things laying on the ground. It is super quiet and this was our place of one day rest in a week of overnighters so the quiet was appreciated. The site was pull through only because there was no one in the adjoining site. We were able to leave the car on the tow dolly. There is no grass, only weeds with lots of grasshoppers which was fun. There is a picnic table we could have pulled over but there was a very large animal trap on it so we didn't. We had full hook ups with 50 amp and good water pressure. Appears to be well water and the taste is bad, bring bottled water. No WiFi and Verizon signal good. We stayed two nights June 25-26, 2017 and paid $15 a night with our Passport America discount. - BarrettsHappyTrails

A rural campground. Lots are 25 ft wide & fairly level. A combination of gravel & grass sites. Didn't use bathroom or showers. Had a Plains thunderstorm go through at 2AM. Constant lightening, rain & hail combined with 60 to 80 mph winds. Both my wife & I thought the trailer was going to roll over. We knew no tree would fall on us as there were'nt any to knock the wind down. Turned out to be minimal damage to CG & trailers. It was an acceptable 1 night stand. - be rob
Aug 2018 - $29.00
Appears to have been a KOA many years ago. Great for a one-nighter, it is right off old Hwy US50 so there is some traffic noise and a train or two, but very tolerable. Not many choices in this area. Park was clean, level gravel sites, decent hookups. No added amenities but that is reflected in the price for FHU. Easy access, seemed all sites were pull-through. Would stay again. - Nevada Nick
Aug 2018 - $27.00
Older park which needs some updates but over all very well kept. All the grass was mowed and everything worked. Has gravel sites but reasonably level. Heard trains during the late evening but not a problem. The lady that checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed one night and will stay again. - CamL
Oct 2017 - $28.00
Stayed for two nights at this basic park not far from I25. Be sure to turn in right past the dumpsters on the gravel road and not the paved road further down as there is no turn around. We stayed in the back in a pull through site that was level with full hookups. All the sites are gravel, those in the front seem to be permanent residents. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Not many amenities like pool, playground but there is a group room. There is free WiFi and a laundry room. We would stay here again. - mohocamper
Oct 2018 - $10.00
It wasn't very pretty and there was nothing to do, but we loved our stay. At only $10/night for W/E (three-day limit) and the place completely to ourselves, how could we not? The grounds are spacious and level, well-kept (lots of garbage cans/dumpsters), and quiet. There are several ramadas with picnic tables, a couple of playgrounds, a group shelter, and plenty of space to boondock if you don't want hookups. The name is a bit misleading since the only water activity would be fishing, but accessing the water for that looked near-impossible. What WE did was catch up on internet business, walk/run the roads, and work on our hobbies. There were some day visitors each day who came to practice archery, walk themselves and their dogs, and the park employee who stopped by to collect the fee envelope and take care of a little maintenance. It was quite windy a few nights, which necessitated us pulling in a couple of our slides to prevent damage to the toppers. The showers are very old and obviously not used often, but there was plenty of warm (not hot) water.
If the park had been busier, the site spacing would have been much closer, but I can't judge that since we were the only ones there. Likewise the interior roads that may have been a bit harder to navigate (park) if other vehicles had been there. As it was, everything was wide open, and according to the park employee, even when "busy" it's never crowded. - Chasing Dirt
Sep 2018 - $10.00
This is an older State Park off the Hwy. A nice place for an overnight stay. We where the only ones in the Park. Nice grassy area and walking paths for walking the dogs. Covered patio at end of Park to have a family gathering. Restrooms are clean and have showers. Nice place to overnight. - Helms56
Oct 2017 - $10.00
Easy to find. Quiet. Well kept. We have stopped at this park twice for single nights. If we are in the area it can be depended upon for a restful night. Will stop again in the future. - weekendrider
