Good value. Grounds are mowed and neat, approximately 15 feet of grass between sites. Mostly long-term residents but was quiet except for some road noise. All sites are level pull through. Utilities located near center of site. Voltage and water pressure were good. Wifi signal was strong but would auto disconnect about every 10 or 15 minutes. Could only get three PBS TV channels with antenna. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

The other two reviews are good on the basic park description. I was parked in site #2 and had good WIFI. I needed no lifts as the site was level. The park is grass with gravel roads and sites. There is a concrete table at the sites and some have a grill. I would stay here again if I passed through Kansas on US 54. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

First Impression: CG is nice but small and unassuming. Passport America discount, only. $25/day, $100/week, $300/month. Safety: no concerns - peaceful. Access: On US-54 at the west end of Iola, KS. Municipal roads in good condition. GPS took us directly there. Road signage is poor. Office: The owner/manager, easy going. No store. Facilities: No amenities. Office building has restrooms/showers and one clothes washer and dryer at the end of the hallway. Restrooms/showers are old, dirty, and moldy. Mold covered curtains separate shower "stalls". Ran out of hot water (score "D-"). Propane sales. No playground. Designated, on-leash, dog area. Storm shelter. Campground: In a flood area. Roads are gravel with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Sites are all pull-through and spacious. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Electrical pedestals at mid-rig with FHU-20/30/50; with meters. Sites are level, grass/gravel in "ok" condition. Well-mowed grass between sites. Sewer pipe is 4" threaded, about 4" above ground level. Very strong water pressure with good taste. Nice concrete patio with concrete picnic tables. Numerous sites have raised charcoal grills/smokers. Open fires not permitted. Good satellite views. Free cable TV (? channels - didn't check). OTA TV found 5 channels. Free Wi-Fi with excellent coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone at 4-bars; 4G coverage at 4-bars. No railroad or aircraft noise but notable street noise as US-54 is "right there". No recycle bins. Bug Report: variety of ants and small spiders (early May). Runners: CG roads ok for running or go to the Riverside Park (¼ mile east); no fitness room so no treadmills. Yoga: concrete patios are plenty big enough for your mat. Conclusion: Good for a short stop-over but not a destination CG. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

El Charro Mexican restaurant (about ½ mile away - we walked) has good food and margaritas. Wal-mart is about 2 miles north on State Street but no gas station. Local restaurants, Pizza Hut, fast food (DQ, Sonic, McDonalds). Bennett Coin Laundry (not inspected). Groceries (Walmart, Pete's, Moon's Hometown). Diesel at $2.439. Banks. Various churches. Riverside Park bike trail. No RV stores. Ace hardware store. Autozone. Disc Golf course at end of South Washington street (9 holes).

Decent but basic campground. No reason to travel just to visit this place but if you're in the area and need a place to stay, this would do nicely. Site was reasonably sized and level. Utilities were conveniently located and worked fine. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Old fashioned butcher shop called Bollings a few blocks east. I always save some room in my freezer for a few steaks when I'm in the area. They have buffalo too if you're feeling adventurous.

A basic campground. It's in an open field with pull through FHU 30a and 50a sites. The power, water and sewage all worked well. No trees so our rooftop dish had no trouble. We couldn't get any OTA TV stations. The campground WiFi didn't work, even next to the office but our Verizon cell phone and hot spot worked. Gravel roads and sites with small concrete patio and table. It's on route 54 so there is road noise. There are a couple long term trailers. It's located on the west edge of the city so there are some stores and restaurants nearby. We were told to pick any site we wanted. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

We were very pleased with the park. Very well maintained, concrete slabs with a great grill/smoker at a few of the sites. Our site had a nice concrete circular table with umbrella holder. There is a nice Nature Trail along the creek. When I called for a site, even though it was a couple days away, the manager just took my name, no credit card, and said he would have a spot for us when we arrived. Office was smoky, but he was very nice and helpful. We did not use the shower or laundry so have no idea as to cleanliness. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Motorhome.

The spots are nice and spacious with concrete patio. Most spots have picnic tables. No cable hook ups. The internet connection only reaches the first row of campers. So If you need Internet park as close as you can to the office. The restrooms and office reek of cigarette smoke. I was in the restroom for 5 minutes and now I smell horrible and have a headache. The showers were covered in mold as well. The park does fill propane bottles, which is a plus in my book. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great place to stop for a day or so. The host is on site and takes great pride in the park. The grass is trimmed, the rest rooms are clean, fresh gravel, level sites, and just a friendly place. The WiFi was good. There is only one washer and one dryer. Hook ups were centrally located and the water pressure was good. We would stay again. The rate is PA. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

OK park. Close to busy road. Concrete pad and table, gravel roads. Our biggest problem was the operator. Sign outside camp said "high speed Internet". The Internet didn't even reach our trailer. When we went and asked him about it, he pretended not to know much about the Internet. There was only 1 modem and it was in the office window. We tried to explain that this was insufficient to reach across the park and he became quite agitated and claimed he didn't want to know about the Internet because it was " the devils toy ". When we returned from our shopping trip in town, the sign had been removed. The office had a no smoking sign on the door, but we had to fight our way through clouds of cigarette smoke to get to his desk. The adjacent laundry also smelt of cigarette smoke. Not a great stay. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here twice. The sites near the office are better than those up the hill, although all have the same FHU. This is a nice place for the area and is well taken care of by the manager. We had a concrete patio with a BBQ & concrete picnic table. The RVs are parked on gravel. It is convenient to shopping & dining with a GREAT Chinese buffet in town. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

The sites here are large with a fair amount of grass. The power is strong and steady, Wi-Fi good most of the time, our Verizon Internet slow, but good. The park is neat. Almost all sites are long-term people. Negatives are that the restrooms were dirty, 2 showers are only separated from each other with a curtain. We were right next to the highway and so it was noisy whenever a vehicle went by. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy. Manager doesn't seem to care much. Eleven dollar rate is Passport America. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a one night stop over using Passport America. Normal rate is $22, but we paid $11. It was a very well kept park with many permanent residents. The sites had grass, and it was freshly cut. The restrooms and showers were very clean, and the gentleman that checked us in was very friendly. The next morning while I was walking our dog, he spoke to me by name. We would stay here again during our travels. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Motorhome.

This RV park is very basic but provided everything that an overnight stay requires. Manager was very friendly upon our arrival and was informative about the area. Was not very busy so we had a choice of sites. The showers were good and hot. Did not know until we left, that we were within walking distance to some restaurants, since the park is at the edge of town. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Motorhome.

Previous review comments are good. The power in the front is very good as is water pressure. Be sure to use a water regulator. The bathrooms and showers are clean but not very private. Wi-Fi is "good" near front near office. We parked near front and by the road and were not bothered by the traffic noise. The park is on the south side of Hwy 54 west of town. There are a couple of fast food places within walking distance. Price reflects a Passport America discount. We would stop here again for a night. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a convenient spot to spend a single night while traveling. There is no reason to linger. The park is directly next to a major highway so it is rather noisy. There are no fences or any security measures. The showers were clean, but very poorly designed. It is almost impossible to keep clothes and towels dry while taking a shower. We camped at Iola RV Park and Storeage in a Motorhome.
