We were greeted by the most delight young lady. Check in was fast and efficient. The management greeted us and made sure our needs were met. They made us feel special. Give this place a try, you will love it here. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I stayed here two months. The staff was very friendly and helpful. This campground is right off the interstate and has some noise but, not bad once you get used to it. I was in a pull through site and was able to disconnect and park in front of camper. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very convenient for overnight. Fairly tight entrance and interior road, but we made it with a 40' motorhome and toad. Were able to get satellite reception in our site. Would use again for overnight. Exiting park is sharp turn so we did not attempt with toad. We used the adjacent car wash lot to hook up. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in a 25' Navion (Sprinter) and were not towing. The park is easily accessible. Site was a half circle asphalt surface with grass in front. The Park was clean. The cable consisted of 4 pay per view channels; that's it!. The WiFi was non existent. The park is mostly long term units with only a couple of nightly spots. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Interior roads are very narrow and tricky to maneuver. We drive a 38' motorhome and tow a Jeep and it was tight, but we made it. There are 10 pull-thru sites, which are just loops off the main roads, and 19 back-in sites, half of which are very long. Sites are close together. The office is closed on the weekends but you can put your check or cash in an envelope and leave it. Or call them - they are very responsive. The manager was out to the campground 3-4 times over the weekend. She was very nice and very helpful. They ask that you use jack pads as all the sites are asphalt. Wifi was good, and worked the entire 48 hours we were there. Sites are very close together. I-70 is literally steps away and the traffic noise was horrendous. We would not stay here again. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Thank you for staying with us! Our paved road servicing sites is a one way road and is a big loop. The road can be tricky to swing onto some of the sites. We always try to select from our open sites the site that best meets needs of our arriving guests based on the size of the RVs and whether they have a tow vehicle or not.
The Month of September this year we had the best month ever since we opened in March of 2004. So, unfortunately we didn't have many open sites to choose from to offer to travelers. We will do a better job in making sure the customers can easily get into the sites we have open. We often have to refer customers to a great park close by when we can't accommodate someone. Three of our short term sites are very easy to get in to with big rigs.
We just had a Mammoth 44 foot beautiful Class A pulling a 16 foot trailer. He was able to swing right in without unhooking.

We will always strive to be better. Enjoy your travels.
Tom

We needed an overnight stop near Manhattan, KS, to visit friends and chose this campground based on previous recommendations. When I called to make reservations, I told the campground attendant that we were a 40' motorhome towing a full-sized pickup, and wanted to be sure that this campground could accommodate us. No problem, I was told! Imagine our surprise when we pulled into this teeny place and could barely negotiate the fairways with our pickup unhooked! We were in site 11, right next to the road, and got to hear the early morning workers headed to their jobs. I-40, indeed, was only 1/2 mile away, adding to the noise. Yes, they do have cable, but we needed a "box" to access their service. Rather out-dated. We will never stay here again. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Lots of fun things to do in Manhattan, KS. We had a great lunch at the Taproom, a microbrewery/restaurant for Tallgrass Brewing.

We have a lot of great customers that stop off the interstate to stay with us as we are on the south side of the interstate. You can hear the traffic noise from Interstate 70 very plainly when there is a north wind. Typically we have a south wind and it is not a problem, unfortunately it sounds like you stayed with us when there was a north wind. In 2016 our cable provider switched over to all digital signal, we are still working on a better solution than what we have to do now which is checking our cable boxes and equipment to each customer that wants cable TV service. We used to just be able to plug in to the outside of customers campers and cable would come on before they went digital. Most of the time it is plug and play; the biggest issues is getting access to plugging an HDMI or coax cable to the back of their TV. I think we are stuck with being next to I70 but we sure hope we can solve the cable box problem soon! Enjoy your travels and we hope the Owl’s Nest can help out in the future.

Needed a place just overnight while traveling through. What a nice find. Place is half mile off the highway, flat, and easy to navigate even at night. Almost all sights are pull through and easily accommodated my 40' RV. Folks were nice and I will use again when in the area. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Excellent small campground. Mostly friendly long term campers staying here. Clean facilities, full hook-ups at every site, paved roads and sites with cut grass between. Long back-ins and decent sized pull-throughs. Sites are close together, but no more then at other private campgrounds. Very friendly staff. Good Wi-Fi. Park office is only open until 4:30, but there is a camp host to take care of late arrivals. Rate reflects a Passport America discount, which is good for just one night and cannot be reserved. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Owl's Nest Campground is the standard ALL campgrounds should strive for. This was the nicest RV Park we ever stayed in. Perfectly neat, all paved roads and sites, nicely landscaped and grass mowed. Everything worked properly, great WiFi, TV, etc. Owner and staff were "top-notch!" Bathroom and shower were spic and span! We only stayed one night due to traveling through but will certainly stay at Owl's Nest Campground again. Cannot say enough about how nice this campground is. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a well-cared for small RV park with paved roadways and paved, reasonably level sites. A majority of the units are seasonal, but they seem to have a few daily sites available most of the time. I would recommend reservations to be sure. The park is centrally located for visits to Fort Riley (US Cavalry Museum), Manhattan, KS and the Eisenhower Library and Museum. Cable TV gets many stations and the Wi-Fi works well. There is also a hard line web connection in the laundry room. There is just one unisex full bath, but even with the park full there hasn't been a long wait to use the facilities. We would stop here again if in the area. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The $15 rate reflects the P/A rate. This park is far enough off of I 70 so there is no road noise. The park is "sparkling" with blacktop drives and sites and grass everywhere else. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 3 weeks and found it to be a very nice park. There are full timers here and the short stay campers. Enjoyed the visit, made some new friends, visited the local attractions. Laundry facility is very clean. Fairly quiet park with freeway sounds being minimal. Would love to stay again if we go to the area. We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here with PA in the only site that wasn't filled with long term campers. The free internet only worked for one computer, $5 if we both wanted on. The laundry is 2 & 2 and very clean. The people working here are very nice and helpful. There is a car wash next door that accommodates RV's. Short drive to town for an assortment of restaurants. Call ahead if you think you want to stop here. They need a pool! We camped at Owl's Nest Campground in a Motorhome.
