After reading the existing review, we decided to stop here for a one night stay. This is without a doubt the worst park in the State of Kansas. We drove into it and the unkept units with the loose dogs made our decision to drive on to another park very easy. We didnot stay nor will we ever return. - Arizona Traveler

Pleasant stay at this park. Not a resort by any means but the owner was friendly and very helpful. I will note that there are no washer/dryers. A very good place if you are stopping for the night, back-ins only no pull-throughs. As for us we travel for work it was an excellent place to stay long term for the monthly price. Also there is a pool and park area (not a part of the RV park) for children right across the street. - mnchope

This is a "fishing lake" with campsites. no hookups, but plenty of lake view. Picnic tables, not at all sites. sites were good for smaller units, but a couple big spots were found on the loop across the opposite side of the little dam. There is no surface at the campsites that has not been affected by ruts from pervious rains (at this time). The dirt roads to each side have plenty of ruts. No gravel. Neighborhoods flank the lake and there is three entrances to the park so the towns folk use them to go through to homes and sometimes just quick cut through. We didn't stay in the designated campsites due to the above mentioned, so we stayed in the day use area hugging the edge of the grassy area. No problem with that if you don't block the road. Some residents have loud trucks or cars and go through. A very friendly couple walking their dogs stopped to talk to us and even extended an open invitation to hook up at their house should we make another visit. Water foul, jumping fish (you need a license to fish) dog walkers and nearby school phys ed joggers. Shade trees and green vegetation to walk on. It was pleasant and we stayed 3 nights then went to the City Park which is also free (donations welcomed). Medicine Lodge has a couple of gas stations, 1 grocery store (we didn't hate) with laundry mat and car wash all in one. A post office and Library (with wifi and great staff) and old town has a few shops and a pharmacy. We would use the park as a 1 maybe 2 night stay, but to fish grab a campsite. - DRPDOUT13
