We were coming from dry camping in New Mexico and needed showers. I knew that the showers on the the other side of the lake was not usable for me so we stopped by the post. I checked the water and it never got hot so no showers for us. The showers for the Lake Shore campground are nasty, filthy and old. The building is open to the outside and there are no doors on the building or the showers and no curtains. I went my privacy and will not take a shower were ANYONE can walk in and see me and I would not even know they are there because of the like of doors. I did check and that shower house had warm water. - M Herm

We're just here overnight. I was difficult to see the signs when coming in after dark. We had to get out and walk into the sites to see if we were in the right place. Waking up and seeing the beautiful lake was worth it. Very quiet and clean. Very few other campers. The showers are 'open air', great for rinsing off lake water. We were here on a week night. There was a nice beach, we didn't use. Also a marked hiking trail. We enjoyed several miles of hiking. We will come back here with our Kayaks. Several places to visit in nearby Mead. - lgoering

We enjoyed this campground a lot... just about had it to ourselves during the middle of the week. The place was mostly clean (some debris in the lake). The dump was hidden at the back of the campground and we had to do a U-turn in a narrow lot to line up with it. We're told that there are no first come - first serve sights in KS State Parks. You can show up and if there is a site not reserved, you can stay at it. - Wandering With Us
Oct 2016 - $45.00
Tree branches, huge ones, would fall and beat the trailer all night. Woke up and saw a huge branch that missed the trailer by a foot it, would have done horrible damage . Owner is friendly others not so much. - Sherri Davis
Jan 2016 - $22.00
Clean neat older place, pretty quiet, a few older units looked long term but no junk. Huge old cottonwoods. Small town, felt safe. We would stay again for overnight. - Vanda Pieru

Price reflects one night. Small campground located behind motel. Needs a little work. Driveway that is tree lined, trees need to be cut back. Take same driveway but turn and take road without trees. Interior roads are gravel. Grass/gravel back ins which have shade and big pull thrus with no shade. The pull thrus are interesting on getting out onto the street, have to go over a two inch bump and curb. Pull site was very unlevel. Side to side, front to back. If you don't have air bags on your truck you will have to unhitch. Not sure how it would work on a MH. Close to Highway 54, so might be some road noise. Lots of cable TV channels. Internet is worthless. Four bars on Verizon. Some what easy in & out with a HDT & trailer. - Tallboy
