Small City Park that was extremely well maintained. 7 sites, some either 20, 30 and 50 amp. You reserve by phone by calling City then use pay station at site. No one on-site, honor system - Cash/Check in drop slot near restrooms. Utilities and site good, picnic table. Dump station Would have rated higher except we were only camper unit but had a person sleeping in his car next to us and people parking around us in cars in the afternoon, I assume to eat lunch, but it felt a little disconcerting. Dump station on driveway behind sites. - The Petersons

Very nicely kept up city park. Sites are gravel and fairly level with w/e, ours had 50 amp service, and there is a dump station available. Utilities all worked well. We only stayed a night, but satellite would've worked here. We picked up a free WIFI (maybe the city WIFI) and it worked great. If you are coming from the west, US24 was closed and we had to make a 28 mile detour. Wish they would've told us that when we reserved a spot and we could've picked a different route. Paying is on the honor system. There was only one other camper there. Would definitely stay here if in the area again. There was nothing to do in town....even the Pizza Hut is only open Thurs-Sun! - jacknpeg

We stayed one night, after phoning ahead. Hays, KS has no place to stay, but Stockton was a beautiful park. The campground is self-register, but the city staff on the phone were very helpful. There was good signage to find the park. - TexPaul

This is a brand new park, and couldn't be more convenient! Not right on interstate so it's not loud! About a mile south of interstate in a beautiful area with trees around the property. It doesn't have trees in sites yet but I talked with the owner and they plan to plant a bunch of trees this fall. Can't expect them to plant trees in 100 degree kansas weather! All pull through sites that are 130' long! The owner plans to put in a park, trails and all sorts of amenities. It is new so they have some kinks (like trees) to work out but if us RVrs want quick, easy, nice places that aren't expensive, we have to be willing to understand these things! - Aaron Dreher

This park will be great with some work. I know that it just opened this spring so I hope that the owners intend to continue to invest in it. The pull thrus (all spots) are great, long and set up with the utilities properly positioned. They are gravel and close to level. There is plenty of room for slides on both sides. Picnic tables would be a great addition. They do need to have someone check the bathrooms daily. The same feces have been on the mens toilet seat and bowl for two days with the same paper on the floor. Although the picture on their website does state at the bottom that this is not an actual picture of the site, it is wishful thinking, the attached photo was taken today. Hopefully they will invest in landscaping and more attention to cleanliness. If I were passing thru I would stay here, but not for a long period. - MTRV

Folks, this is not a resort. It is a field with a small building for an office and gravel sites with dirt (in our case muddy) roads. The young lady in the office couldn't find my reservation on her computer even though I had prepaid the night before from their website. There are no amenities- no pool, no security night time lighting, no trees, no boundary fencing, no dog park, no cable tv, 2 stations over antenna, and poor wifi. This is only a place to stop if you have been driving for 6 hours and need a place to spend one night and plug in. Due to recent storms the local Verizon towers were down (not the rv park's fault of course) but many of the sites were flooded so the grading of the sites needs work. But it is cheap if that's all you need. - Nanrobaz

We needed a place to hunker down as next day winds worse plus gusts 40 mph. Little town with perfect campground along river. Hookups great; central rv dump. Great WiFi. Warm bathhouse; older type and well kept. Lotsa hooks in shower! @20 rv sites; most with trees/grass. Yes there was a big storm! - Pogie

This is a great city park where you can easily stay for an overnight or more. We were here in January when the river was frozen and it was bitter cold, enroute to Denver so didn't use the park much except to sleep. It is tucked in a neighborhood and has a beautiful church across the river. Super place to stop as you travel through Kansas. Only electrical in off season, but water other times. - PicturingRVLife

Campground at local park. It rained nearly the whole time we were there so did not see much of the area. They had local WiFi services which was nice. Sie was nearly level so no blocks. The dump station was very convenient next to the restroom facility. Lot's of local traffic on the roads on either side, several seemed to be coming to look at the water flow since KS was getting unexpected amounts of rain. Nice park for a one night stay - tfemaker
