Sites and roads were gravel but there was grass between sites. They had all the typical KOA toys to rent. Very close to interstate. Just do not go there expecting to get satellite reception. Some sites do and some do not. We did by hanging out in the road. The office will not let you change sites even when empty and they say "we do not guarantee satellite" but the do not say that on the website. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a nice rv park with very friendly and helpful people. We were escorted to our site. We had a premium site which was level and had great hookups as well as nice furniture, fire pit and gas BBQ. This is a great stopover spot- lots of RVs pull in late and are gone the next morning. We stayed 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. It was a good location to visit Eisenhowers presidential museum. A little pricey as KOAs tend to be. It was near the freeway but the noise wasn't too bad. Sewer connections are right at the neighbors patio. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Nothing to add to other reviews. Best park in the area. We stay while visiting family in Salina. Had to stay over for repairs and had to stay in patio slots, which are nice. Kept getting delays with repairs and staff accommodated us. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

The campground was clean and well kept. The staff was kind and accommodating. The pool was refreshing, especially on such a hot day. Loved the Wizard of Oz theme throughout the park. There was an awesome, big dog park for our dog to run and play catch in. A very nice gentleman escorted us to our sight. We camped here as and overnight on the way back East. We would definitely come back. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

There was a Walmart and movie theater about 15 minutes away. There was a great YMCA also about 15 minutes away that is National. Our boys loved working out and using their gym equipment.

This KOA is a great midway stop between Colorado and Illinois. It's well-kept, family operated, and convenient to the interstate. We've stayed here before and really appreciate being escorted and guided into our pull-through site. We also love the homemade pizza from the camp store that's delivered to our camper after a long day's drive! This park is pet friendly, family friendly, and professionally run. We'll definitely return on our next adventure across the Midwest. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Check in was very easy and fast. Very helpful staff. Park is clean although a bit dusty, all gravel no pavement. The sites are quite nice, we were fortunate to get one with a nice cement patio with large wood fired grill and a smaller gas grill as well as chairs and table. Some sites do have cement pad for your RV. We camped at Salina KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Upon my first call to make a reservation, I was told they have no concrete sites available. Within five minutes, I was able to secure a concrete site on the KOA website, despite none being available. At check-in, only the owner was working. There were four or five younger people standing around in KOA shirts, but they apparently had nothing to do. After check-in, we were escorted to our site by a very nice older gentleman, who answered our questions. The gravel internal roads were very tight, but thanks to our slow and careful movement, we were able to keep our car connected and get parked on the level concrete site. We paid extra for the concrete, which was fine, but we did notice that while some of the gravel sites featured concrete patios, our concrete pull-thru site only included a rickety picnic table situated on the dirt. The concrete varied within the only row of concrete sites; ours was old but usable, while other pads were broken up and sinking in places. The utility connections at our site were on the ground, making it difficult to hookup our water filter and surge protector. As expected, there was about six feet between sites, so our pedestal was right beside our neighbors' picnic table. We quickly discovered the park had more than its fair share of mosquitoes. The famous KOA jump pad looked like it was installed sometime in the 90's. The playground equipment was probably from the 70's or perhaps early 80's. It was so muddy and filthy, that we wouldn't let our son visit the playground; he was too busy itching mosquito bites, anyway. The pool was small and full of beer-drinking partiers. Many of the campers appeared to be local weekenders (which we try to avoid) there for a good time, but sometimes we find travel necessary on the weekends. Our immediate neighbor probably had eight or more people at his site. We were excited to get back on the road the next morning and thankful for at least a level place to park with full hookups. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

We stopped here for a quick overnight stay on our way westward. This is a very well maintained park with friendly staff and well appointed sites. We walked around the park and found a nice ping pong table, basketball court, fishing pond, and pool. Our premium site had a nice patio table with umbrella, two rocking chairs, a BBQ, and a substantial fire pit. Had we been there longer we would have enjoyed these amenities. I would highly recommend this park. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Needed an overnight stop from Memphis to Denver ... this was about half way. Easy to find, easy to navigate ... escorted to the site, which had FHU and nice table. There was plenty of shade but no tree troubles in my 13' 6" high coach. Did no unhook or avail myself of any amenities, so cannot speak to them. We camped at Salina KOA in a Motorhome.

Although we had reservations here it was iffy whether or not we would be able to stay. Severe storms and flooding in the area and the management wasn't sure they would open for new arrivals. We came in on our date not knowing and was pleasantly surprised to see them open for new arrivals. Lots of maintenance going on to remove the sandbags and grade the roads. Escorted to our site and easy road to get around inside. They have cable but half the stations made TV viewing an auditory experience. The other half was okay but nothing we wanted to watch. Staff was friendly and knew what they were doing. Decent roads in and around the park were a plus. We would stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Mixed feelings about this one. The upside is that the owners are some of the most careful and diligent of any campground. They provide over the top amenities to individual sites as well as the cabins. There are a number of statues and playthings around. The downside is the gravel drives which are muddy in rain and no place to land your feet either when attaching. Still will recommend for the care of the owners.
