Wah-Sha-She campground is a former Oklahoma State Park located on Hulah Lake north of Bartlesville and close to the OK/KS border. We had difficulty finding it with our GPS which took us to a nearby town. We called the helpful lady at the listed number and she told us about recent flooding at nearby Copan Lake which has closed Hwy 10. She gave directions for the detour around the closed highway and we arrived at the campground. Thanks to her for a patient and helpful attitude! The campground is now run by a group of hard-working volunteers through a non-profit organization. These are locals, with other jobs, just working hard to save a local treasure. Hulah Lake (and I suppose Copan Lake) is a Corps of Engineers flood control structure. There were a several people at the campground who were fishing and they seemed to be doing quite well. The lake is beautiful. The campground was flooded recently, and the volunteers were busy clearing driftwood and mowing grass. The campsites are spacious and almost all are under a canopy of lovely oak trees. Sites have electricity and water and there's a dump station behind the clean bath house. Other than a supply of ice for sale, there were no amenities at the campground. Cell signal is sufficient, there is no wi-fi. The campground is about 15-17 miles to Bartlesville and 26 miles to Pawhuska. While there are few amenities, the campground is in a beautiful setting on Hulah Lake. (Most of the locals refer to the campground as Hulah Lake campground which might be helpful if you ask directions). According to this news article (www.examiner-enterprise.com/news/local-news/project-will-close-state-highway-10-copan-dam), Highway 10 will be closed for construction for 6-9 months, starting June 1 2017. The article also indicates that the highway department is working to get up better detour signs. This would be helpful!! Please support this campground, and the non-profit that is working so hard to save it! - Piperjim

The campground is now operated by a nonprofit group and named
Wah-Sha-She Park http://www.hulahlakeosage.com/.
It is a lovely campground with sites right on Lake Hulah and includes a boat ramp.
They do NOT take reservations, but there are over 80 sites and there were campers there in September.
I was treated to my first viewing of American White Pelicans. I guess you can tell I'm an easterner. The sunsets over the lake were spectacular. - John-Jean
Apr 2011 - $20.00
Very nice under utilized State Park campground. Many sites back up to lake. All sites have shade. Very clean and quiet. No local TV reception. Storm shelter on CG loop. 50 and 30 amp sites. We will stay here again. - sandstravels
Apr 2019 - $20.00
Secluded park on Copan Lake, Oklahoma. Our view was perfect with the lake view in our back and kitchen window. This is a very clean and appeared to be a little used park as there are other parks closer to the main highway. The roads and pads are a little tight but we managed ok with our 42' fifth wheel. Would highly recommend staying here. - Dean Erickson
Aug 2019 - $20.00
The whole park is covered by oak trees! Close to the water, well maintained grounds. Exceptional playground for the kids. Each site has a concrete picnic table, fire ring, grill and nice prep table with lamp hook. Great for fishing, bike riding, and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days here. No sewer at site, dump station, but otherwise pretty close to perfect. - khogan
May 2016 - $25.00
It was good for a couple of overnights. It's very close to access off highway but quiet at night. Don't expect any amenities. Some slots were close to trees but it wasn't busy while we were there. Talk to owner ahead for availability. - ks2spi

They were shutting the water off the first week of December. Beautiful campground. Half shaded and half in the sun. Sites were a good size with a concrete patio, picnic table and fire ring. Would definitely stay here again. - KingFisher2
Sep 2018 - $33.00
We stayed 3 nights (Labor Day) in CC10, with full hookups. Campsite was nice, level asphalt with concrete pad for picnic table. Fire ring present but bent and not level. Lots of space around the sites, my kids played soccer in the grass. Partially shady and down in a bowl so not much wind. Hookups as expected but sewer was a bit high and had a super large opening, our tubing adapter didn't make a tight seal. Campground amenities: very nice playground, adequate bathhouse, fish cleaning stations, dog refuse bags, laundry house, swimming beach, fishing dock... all nice and more than expected for a state park. Negatives: we lost water one night, no where in campground had water. There is no emergency number to call, no one at the park buildings, so we all just went without water. They should have an emergency contact number. Also, being a state park, and Labor Day, there was quite a bit of loud, rowdy groups, some shady characters with rifles (the rangers took care of that), and inconsiderate campers...but I guess you can get that anywhere. We live close and will certainly be back, maybe not on a holiday though! - khogan
Jul 2018 - $25.00
Showing up without a reservation, two days before July 4th, we were concerned we might not find a spot, but there were plenty available. We ended up with a long, isolated pull-through. We purposely chose a site far from the lake because we like things quiet. The site was level, the hookups worked fine and the scenery was beautiful. The restrooms were a bit far from our site, but that was our own fault; we could have chosen a closer one. We opted to check in at the park office, rather than using the self check-in at the entrance and that worked out fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return to this park. - John A Guderian
