Sep 2019 - $35.00
This is a small park and well maintained. The only person we saw was a very nice young man who checked in and showed us to our site. The site we had was a very long pull through. There was nice spacing. The sites in the back area are long and easy to navigate. There were some sites in the trees. All the services work great. We enjoyed our stay here and would return. - JDR
May 2019 - $32.00
This place is a small, private 'park' as opposed to a campground. Owner is a very nice, helpful young man. The area was expected to be flooded from all the storms coming through and the bathhouse/laundry was sandbagged so we didn't get inside. The sites are plenty long enough but narrow with a bit of grassy area for a picnic table. However, your neighbor's sewer connection is right outside your door. Moving the table is an option but the connection is still outside your door. No storm shelter on site; nearest is at the courthouse 2 miles into town. The transient camper area is clean and on the high side of the campground; no trees. Most other sites are occupied by long term residents. A safe, clean place to stop for a day or two to visit historic Abilene. Cable TV on some sites; decent Verizon signal. - Pankie
Apr 2019 - $35.00
Very nice host, escorted us to site, no paperwork, took credit card at the site. Sites could use some gravel fill as they are very muddy. - Publicly display name
Sep 2019 - $40.00
Sites and roads were gravel but there was grass between sites. They had all the typical KOA toys to rent. Very close to interstate. Just do not go there expecting to get satellite reception. Some sites do and some do not. We did by hanging out in the road. The office will not let you change sites even when empty and they say "we do not guarantee satellite" but the do not say that on the website. - Couch9748
Sep 2019 - $65.00
This is a nice rv park with very friendly and helpful people. We were escorted to our site. We had a premium site which was level and had great hookups as well as nice furniture, fire pit and gas BBQ. This is a great stopover spot- lots of RVs pull in late and are gone the next morning. We stayed 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. It was a good location to visit Eisenhowers presidential museum. A little pricey as KOAs tend to be. It was near the freeway but the noise wasn't too bad. Sewer connections are right at the neighbors patio. - Admiral II
Aug 2019 - $59.00
Nothing to add to other reviews. Best park in the area. We stay while visiting family in Salina. Had to stay over for repairs and had to stay in patio slots, which are nice. Kept getting delays with repairs and staff accommodated us. - fletch460
Aug 2018 - $30.00
Good for a one-nighter. Fairly level gravel sites, FHU all worked well. No picnic table at our site, but wouldn't have used it anyway. Needs a little TLC and a lot of longterm units, maintained and clean areas. Didn't create any issues. Close together, considering everything in Texas is supposed to be B-I-G. Would stay again. - Nevada Nick
Jul 2018 - $20.00
Very nice pool. Women's bathrooms out of toilet paper first day but replaced early the next morning. Great little store to get ice and emergency supplies. - Dinkystmpr
May 2018 - $25.00
This is a tired park. It needs TLC from picnic tables to the bath houses. Location is good and easy off/on to I-70. Needs a lot more trees for shade. Just an overnite here; there was no water in the park in the morning. The Pool is nice and seems well maintained. - DRKM
Sep 2019 - $32.00
Would stay again. The campsite is right off the highway and very very clean. The owners are very nice and helpful people. I give them a 10/10. Pullthru. - Wendy Leigh
Aug 2019 - $32.00
The check in went smoothly. Very nice folks. The campground served our purpose nicely. Near the interstate, easy in and out - User1308
Aug 2019 - $36.00
This park is located immediately next to busy I-70, so expect significant traffic noise. Interior roads and sites are gravel, with small patches of grass between most sites. Wifi was very good, utilities were fine, Dish satellite reception was clear. A good overnight stopping place in rural Kansas. - expdek570
Jun 2013 - $1.00
Phone number is disconnected and the sign for the campground was taken down off the highway. - Junia
Oct 2012 - $26.00
This is a good park for big rig over night. I think it also would be nice for families as the overall campground is large and the spaces are roomy. They supposedly had Wi-Fi but there was no signal. Restrooms seemed pretty good. Very convenient to the Interstate. We would stay again. - jeffnbarb
Sep 2012 - $26.00
Not well marked as we pulled in, unsure as to where to stop to go into office. Advice given was to go pick out a site. Very old park, not very well maintained. Trash cans overflowing. Didn't use restrooms. - User2783
Jul 2018 - $15.00
This park is a bit rough, but you can't beat the (discounted) price. We've never had full hookups for less money. Everything worked fine, and the site was pretty level. It took a little while to get registered (there were no envelopes in the self-registration booth) but we tracked down the very helpful manager and he got us processed and set up pretty quickly. The biggest negative was that the walk to the restroom (one toilet and no sink) took more than five minutes from our site. However, you can't beat the price. - John A Guderian
Jun 2017 - $15.00
Two major issues: unfriendly towards dogs and poor water. Our dogs and the neighbor's were simply talking to each other briefly mid day and second time the owner's dog was loose, running up and down our our pet fence. Our dog loves that and some barked in fun. We were told we may have to put our dogs in the 5th wheel, but they just bark more knowing we are outside.
Worse..water coming into sink was cloudy with mosquito larvae and other brown specks. Friends boiled water and the calcium ruined the pan. No way was I going to take a shower in this.
Fireworks and large kegger party went on till 1:30am.
Nice lake/pond and sandy beach. Campsites themselves have heavy ant infestation. We paid for two nights but couldn't stay. - ThePattersons
May 2017 - $25.00
An easy 4 miles from Hwy 135 even though gravel the road was not bad. The staff were friendly and directed us to a nice spot overlooking the lake. I asked where the shower house and restrooms were and they didnt have any. I asked about dump station and they said they had a portable cart and would dump my holding tanks for me. I was suprised that they did not have a dump station. We were in off season and only people there except maintenance man. A lot of empty year round rv's were there. We enjoyed a nice walk around the lake and down the road. Very quiet evening and a red fox trotted past our camper. All in all okay for a one night stay. - Romad
Sep 2019 - $10.00
Recently added 50 amp service to five of their sites. Also created 8 new 30 amp sites on the west side of the fairgrounds. The dump station is located at the fairgrounds. - Kansas Traveler
May 2019 - $10.00
Just a place to stop with 30 amp power. Nothing else. - Goldwinger
