We have used this campground many times in the past and continue returning as the owners are friendly. This full service park is well kept and easy to get to off the interstate. Staff guided us to our site, made sure that the electric, water and sewer hookup were convenient.
Sites are pull-through, gravel surface, but we did use a leveling board for our overnight stay. Site was long enough and connections well arranged so that we did not need to unhook. - Cancamper

Nice clean, well kept park for overnight, pull through sites long enough for trailer and truck. Staff very friendly. - Thomas Dunn
Aug 2019 - $37.00
This park is right off 1-65 and very convenient for a short stay. We were just here one night on our way up north but found it very nice. The sites are gravel and level with full hook-ups. Staff is very nice and helpful. One of the quietest parks we have been to for the sites being close together. Would love to have had a little more vegetation and shade but would stop again. Great water pressure! - Shopinful

Seems like the owners have lost interest in their campground. Low hanging tree branches that were not trimmed "because the tree trimmer guy quit". This park was a clean and neat place a few years ago but sure has gone downhill since then. Way overpriced for what you get. We will not be back again. Water, electric and sewer all worked ok. - bobber415

They told us owners discontinued cable, never said why. Sites were very close where we were only thing separating sites was stamped patio. At price lack of cable not good also wifi was a joke. Bad rating was for no cable and lousy wifi. - chiavet142

Would NEVER camp here again ! We were booked with an RV group and it was a nightmare from the beginning. Waited over an hour in line to check in due to campground problems. Not enough 50 amp service or sewer hook up sites available..or paved areas available. There were also people that were suppose to be off the site by check in and weren't. Campground must have screwed up because they didn't do anything about it. Trees were not taken care of and many branches were dead and falling while we had a hard rainfall. Had to fear them coming down onto our RV. When we went to use the dump station we waited 1/2 hour and as many others waiting could not dump due to it backing up all over even on the campers sites. The excuse was it was an outdated system. Campsites were filling up with waste and smelly. Office staff were very rude and disorganized. Paid way too much to stay here especially since to use a pool, you had to pay extra to go to the amusement park ! 3 nights were way too long. If your looking for a nice place to camp, this is not the one. - Linda3515
May 2018 - $35.00
Older CG that could use some maintenance. Attached to an amusement park and race track of some sort. Our electric had one standard outlet and one female extension cord end to supply 2 sites. Pull thru sites separated by about an 8' strip of grass. Not a place I would choose to spend several days but OK for any port in a storm. Wi-fi on $5/day paid basis. - ebaldy

Electrical in sites is VERY poor. Day time volts were 100 to 108, night was 110 to 118. Right away my AC tripped due to low volts and I had to run on my generator. (this is a known issue). We only spent Monday and Tuesday there then camped the rest of the week at the ATTACHED drag strip. I was told it would cost $10, after she checked the price, to dump waste water Sunday after the event. When I showed up to dump on Sunday I was told since it wasn't an event of Dallas's it was $30. Sundays attendant informed me the person who checked and said $10 on Monday was wrong. It cost $35 to say during the week but $30 to dump? Two years ago they let us dump free after since they are connected. At least 90% of the 500+ campers that week showed up for the drag strip but they say the event wasn't connected to the campground. I will be looking for alternate lodging next Hot Rod Reunion. - Greg Iowa
May 2007 - $25.00
We camped here in May 2007. It had everything the website promised - water slide, man-made beach, putt-putt, 18-hole golf course right next door, etc. The problem was that most everything was a little run down - including the clientele (shirtless rednecks). Apparently, the campground went bankrupt, and just recently changed owners. We met the new owner (very nice) and he is very intent on fixing everything up - but he has his work cut out for him. We were in the nicest-looking section (#500's) - the other parts of the campground couldn't quite shake the "farm" feel to it. The downside to the #500's was how far it was to the bathhouse. Overall, lots of potential. I hope the new ownership invests some money into fixing it up a little. - kenpatriot
Jun 2010 - $19.00
Small campground right by the lake. Sits on top of the ridge by the lake and there are woods between the campground and lake. So you cannot see the lake from the campground. Short drive down to beach area for swimming and the lake is great for fishing. Campground is clean, including the bathhouse. Nice playground. Washing machine and dryer available at the bathhouse. Out in the middle of nowhere, so make sure you bring everything you need. - KentuckyCampin
