Stayed in site 30 that is full hook-up with a great view of the river. This is a clean well maintained park with a very good museum about Columbus during the Civil War and the forced migration of Native Americans to the Oklahoma Territory. The prime FHU sites were occupied all weekend, but on Monday only three campsites in the entire campground were in use. Only a few sites are really level, most are slightly sloped and some would be difficult to level a motorhome or trailer on. Lots of shade but we had good dish satellite reception and poor but usable Verizon. - Appleknocker

Of the half dozen parks we have visited, this is my favorite. All sites are blacktop with water and 30A electric. Premium sites have a river view and FHU. The campground was clean and well maintained. Sites were roomy. The river view sites were 100 feet deep, some with porch swings! All sites have gravel patio with picnic table and fire ring. Lots of mature trees, but none get in the way driving or backing into sites. Most sites can get a satellite signal. Our AT&T cell signal was fair. Our site was off level about 4 inches side to side and 8 inches over 15 ft front to back. We really enjoyed our stay. - Preacher Gordon

Nice and quiet. Small campground but still spacious. - ChasCape

We got there just as the sun was setting and pulled into a spot just long enough for our 43 foot 5th wheel and Ram Dually to squeeze into. Leveled and opened the slides, pulled out the power chord and NO power. So noticed an RV in another section and asked if they had power and they said yes so closed the RV up and headed to a site next to them in the darkness. It was a 30 amp post so dug out my adapter and plugged in before doing anything else still NO power so took an electric fan and started walking the park plugging it in to the 110 outlets until I found a site with power. Moved the RV there and the 50 amp worked. I feel the need to add that there is NO ONE in the entire Boomland complex that knows anything about the campground. So if you have a problem good luck. Also there was quite a bit of road noise from I-57. - 2 DA WDS

As almost every reviewer has noted, how can you beat a decent, FHU site for just $12? Our site was reasonably level and satellite friendly. There were only a handful of other RVs (extended stay?) in the park the night we were there. From previous experience, we didn't even bother checking the bathroom facilities. - Jerry S

It has been a few years since we have stopped here. My 5/15 review gives a more detailed description of the park. The self check in is quick and simple. As others have said, $12 for a FHU site can't be beat. As long as you don't want/need cable TV, Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, etc., this park is fine for an overnight. Most of the sites are a combination of grass/dirt/gravel, fairly roomy, pull through, and satellite friendly. I did not even bother to check the bathrooms. I would have been surprised to see any recycling. - Jerry S

Conveniently located just off I-24. Easy in and out. The section for big rigs is essentially a gravel parking lot and the sites are very close together. No grass at the site but there were several grassy areas for the dogs close by. This campground is average at best, but works just fine for an overnight stay. - John K

Good location, near gas stations, restaurants, etc. Friendly staff. Level sites. Shade near pine trees. Fairly quiet, some road noise.
No picnic table. Bath house clean, but old. - SamMack

Quick, friendly check in. Shown to our site which was a gravel lot. Lots of large pine trees gave relief from the very hot afternoon sun, so it was actually very good. Lake in the back is good to walk around. A few sites are back in with lake view. We liked this park and would return. - sp123
