camped 1 night over Memorial Day Weekend in a 22' Class C, no toad. We normally try to avoid KOA's but with all the State parks and most private campgrounds requiring a min 3-night stay over the holiday weekend, it was our only choice. and Thank Gog for KOA's policy there, or we'd have wound up in a WalMart parking lot or something. Campground is pretty much as described in the other reviews.. lots of trees, sites close together, and pretty basic as far as KOA's go. It was easy to navigate and set up, site was fairly level for us though if you're much longer you'll need jacks/blocks to level out. Office was close already at 6:45PM and we had to check-in the next morning, but all info was in the night checkin area. If you're at a site towards the back of the park, yeah, you'll hear some road noise outside, but if you're in a motorhome with the A/C running I can't imagine you'd actually still hear it inside. Dog Run was not on the site map and we didn't see it until the next day before we were leaving. Bummer for the pupper. It served our purpose but would probably not stay here again if there are other choices available. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

This was our first stay at the Bowling Green KOA. We booked the "buddy sites" with some friends which are large pull-thru sites facing each other on the far end of the park. We had a large concrete patio between the rigs that was really nice. Site was level and included two tables and a portable fire pit. Sewer site is far back from the water and electric hookups. I had to add an extension hose to reach the sewer connection. Road noise from the nearby I-65 was minimal. Other than the sewer connection (which was at the rear of my rig) utilities were situated conveniently (I had to buy a sewer extension hose). Cable worked well and provided many channels. We enjoyed our stay and will be back during Derby Week. There are many restaurants nearby and Camping World is about a mile away. The only downside is the road exiting the park. You'll need to make a right-hand turn to get out of the park and if you have a long rig you need to swing wide to clear a large ditch. It's a two lane road and heavily traveled, so it can take a while to get enough clearance to exit. Camping World is nearby and restaurants galore. The Corvette Museum is right down the road. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

Not sure what was going in Bowling Green, but there was so much noise from the motorcyclists in the park. Even though their brochure states no loud noise, it was awful. Maybe if we had come on another day it might have been better. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Truck Camper.

This is an older park that is located next to I-65. It was my 2nd time to stay here. I agree with some of the maintenance concerns noted by other reviewers - the patio at my site had mud and gravel all over it. The cable TV service was DOA due to another camper who had driven off with his cable still attached (the maintenance man was in the process of digging the cable up with a backhoe as we were leaving to work on it). However, you can get several OTA channels. Wifi was good. There are LOTS of services (restaurants, shopping, and fuel stations) nearby, which is nice. The staff were very nice and allowed me to stay past the checkout time since I had a local appointment w/o charging me extra. Thanks, guys! We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

If you care about your rv then you won't stay here. They are so bad about trimming trees that my coach has scratches down the side of it now. Fire pit had grass growing out of it. BBQ still full of charcoal and ashes. WiFi was terrible so don't plan on doing any business while you are there. Sewer connection was broken and required a brick to hold it in place. Laziness or cheapness about trimming trees and cleaning. Was told by one worker that the maintenance/tree trimmer quit. Clearly obvious. Location wasn't bad. Wasn't loud. If you don't like dogs then I wouldn't walk into the office where some obnoxious white dog ran around barking. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Motorhome.

We've stayed at this KOA a few times because it's very convenient for us when traveling. The staff is always very pleasant. This time we were in a pull thru site and it was pretty level. The utilities all worked well. The site itself was gravel with a very small area for the trailer to sit. The rest of the site was grass. After getting set up we noticed on the campground map it said not to park on the grass at the pull thru sites. It was impossible not to park on the grass on our site since it consisted mostly of grass. Therefore, we parked on the grass. Nothing was said to us. I'm sure we'll stay here again because we travel I-65 often. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at Bowling Green KOA because of trouble with out Travel Trailer. Dunlap RV was awesome in helping us get back on the road. We got a premium full hook up site that came complete with a concrete patio with a fire pit, bench and table with 4 chairs. This was a very nice touch. As far as cell service we had 4 bars for both ATT & Verizon. Restrooms and showers were clean. They were older facilities but were upgraded with new tile floors and tile on the walls. Laundry was good with 3 working washers and 5 working dryers. It was $2.50 for a 30 min wash and $1.00 for 30 min dryer. Our loads needed about 45 mins to dry completely so I had to add 2 more quarters to get the extra drying time. We will definitely come back when we can spend more time exploring the area and not fixing our Travel Trailer. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We stay here every year while visiting family in the area. We were in the pull-through area, which is closer to the interstate. The road noise is noticeable, but we didn't hear it when the doors/windows were closed. Staff is always nice. Cell service for both AT&T and Verizon worked well. Overall Rating:

Many reviews seem to show two experiences at this KOA. One is open and sunny, but near the interstate with lots of road noise. The other is shaded and quiet. My experience was the second. The reason for this discrepancy is because the KOA is built right next to the interstate and appears to have added on in later years. That addition doesn't have the trees the older part does and it is closer to the interstate. So, if you end up back in the newer part, it will be louder and less shaded. The older part of the park is quite relaxing and considerably more quiet. With all of that said, I would still plan on coming back to this park, even if we end up on the new side. The campground itself is clean and well maintained and the city of Bowling Green has a lot to offer. Also, it's positioned very close to all the shopping, grocery stores, and activities. It's right in the middle of it all. The biggest downfalls I found were that our site did not have a grill and the fire pit didn't have a grate. So, for outdoor cooking, we went to another campsite. However, the concrete patio easily made up for this shortfall. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The Corvette Museum is absolutely worth the time and the cost is low. Mammoth cave is nearby. Just around the corner from the KOA is a free aviator park with several fighter jets, an incredible site.

The first night was a premium spot because we called to come in a day early. The next week was still a pretty awesome site, and it was next to friends. Staff was nice, even gave us a bag of cucumbers and squash from their garden. It rained a lot the week before we got there so everything was muddy/soggy, including the dog park. Nothing against the park at all. We stayed here last year in the A loop and that was much tighter. We enjoyed this year's visit much more. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in a Kabin for this leg of the trip. This KOA is pricey and we paid their pet fee of $10 in this rate. The campground was BEAUTIFUL and there are lots of venues to visit in Bowling Green. (Home of the Corvette museum is one, as a previous owner of two vettes, this was interesting.)! The kabin was very nice, clean and spacious with paved patio and iron table with chairs overlooking two pretty ponds with plenty of geese and fishing (catch and release). We enjoyed our stay. A nice park. The roads and sites are gravel, with most sites being pull-throughs. Full hookups with cable and wifi. Several "extras" available including a fishing pond, pool, and miniature golf. Lots of trees with most sites being well shaded. There was some road noise from the nearby interstate but it wasn't bad. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, and the Corvette Museum and Assembly Plant are only about 6 miles away. We camped at Bowling Green KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here overnight after a long day on the road. As usual, this kind of campground wants lots of $$ for the amenities that we don't use. After driving about 2/12 miles off the highway to get to the campground, we were then sent to the back of the park for a 50 amp site which brought us close to the highway again. There was some highway noise. Our site was very uneven and the camp in general needs some TLC. Wifi was okay and we found enough over the air TV to suit us. We will not stay here again.
