If you are looking for a park with lots of amenities, things for kids to do and other extras, Cave Country may not be for you. But if you want a place to stay that is extremely convenient, with long very level lots, very clean grounds, a friendly staff and very reasonable rates, then come here. We stayed for two nights and visited Mammoth Cave. Our site was great, much better than places that cost more money. It has one of the largest dog parks and they picked up our trash each morning. This is not a place to stay for more than a couple of days as there is not much to do other than go to Mammoth Cave, but it was an excellent stop for us. We highly recommend Cave Country RV. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Very little to do other than Mammoth Cave. Book tickets online in advance to get the tours, days and time you want be there. We booked in advance and went when it was not crowded, but some tour times were sold out when we got there.

Very nice RV park, conveniently located to Mammoth Caves National Park. Nice sites with full hookups. Daily trash pickup, cable TV and free WiFi. It is close to a RR track, and trains go by a couple of times a night. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful maintained grounds, good spacing between sites for a private RV park. Office staff is efficient, friendly, and helpful. We came here to visit Mammoth Cave for a couple of days, and ended up staying over a week to explore the area further. Nice fenced dog yard, lots of growing trees. Park wifi is adequate, but they need more bandwidth. Verizon signal is very weak, but usable with an external boosted antenna. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Our 8th overnite stay in 4 yrs. Gravel pads are dead level. WiFi is best we've experienced in a RV Park. Cable tv is excellent. Staff extremely courteous, low key. Grass area between pads has real, green grass, not just weeds & gravel. Fire pits recently installed. Trees are starting to mature, offer some shade. A pool would be nice, but this is not a park designed for kids playground. It's adults, nice RV's, home base to tour the area. Every time we visit, we notice improvements (some small, some larger) the owners have made. We will be back! We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Restaurants, gas stations, any shopping are (my opinion/age) beyond walking/cycling distance. You'll need a car to get there.

Clean, well planted park with trees, flowers blooming, and grass around each site. Far enough away from the interstate that no traffic noise. There is a train nearby but it was infrequent and didn't keep us up. The front office will assist if you find yourself without anything to do. The park is nicely laid out so easy to navigate even for a longer rig. Super convenient to Mammoth Caves. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Definitely visit the corvette museum in nearby Bowling Green - and this RV park is very convenient to the Mammoth Caves. Great little (and very busy) Mexican restaurant (El Mazatlan) in the town of Cave City.

We stayed here on a drive from Atlanta to Chicago. This was our first stop. We stopped here on our way back also a week later. The check in clerk was very nice. The directions to our pull through site were very clear and it was a very good site for our overnight stay. All the utilities worked. There was a train that we heard but that was because we like our windows open at night. On our return trip through we realized upon checking out that they provide onsite propane. This is awesome since trying to get our propane tank refilled at home is a PITA. Again, the staff was awesome. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this CG in 2016 for a week while visiting Mammoth Cave NP so we were glad to stay here again for 1 night on our way home from Arkansas. Very clean and well run park, staff very friendly. Cable and WIFI were excellent. There is a train close by as others mentioned which may wake you if you are a light sleeper. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Not a resort, but everything you would need. Big gravel sites! All the utilities worked great, even the WiFi slowly worked well. The folks keep the place spotless. Great little park operated by folks who care about customer service. Little bit tricky to find the road which dead ends into the park. Well maintained with full hook ups and reasonably spacious sites. Great value at about $40 a night. Several restaurants nearby and easy access to the caves in the area. What a sweet little camp ground. The landscaping was just beautiful. There is a butterfly garden with a quant metal butterfly chair. Very quiet. Sites were level. Close to so many places to visit. I would definitely stay here longer next time. There was a large dog park. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We asked the office for a pizza reference and they suggested Turtlelini's (yes, their logo is a turtle) in Horse Cave just a few minutes away. It was superb. If we had known, we wouldn't have gotten the pizza to go as they had a great buffet.

Overall Rating:

We have traveled full-time for four years now and this is by far the cleanest park we have stayed. The landscaping is magnificent, the restrooms were spotless, and our space was spacious, level and shaded. Entire park is pull thru spaces with pedistools tall enough for surge and each one had a light. All the spaces are pull thru. If you have to back your RV up in this park you don't know how to drive! The the freeway near but far enough you don't get the noise. There is a railroad track at the back but after a day I rarely noticed it. The owner is side beside his employees and everyone of them treat you like family, the family that you like! Don't pass this place by. Perfect overnight stop or a base for exploring. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great on/off overnight spot or a base for exploring the many caves in the area or the Bourbon Trail. The only downside is there is no swimming pool when it's hot but we consider it a win because there aren't a lot of kids.

Level pull thru sites that are gravel, but well maintained. Water pressure great and sewers have threads, which is a plus! Trees are trimmed and no problem with satellite dish working. They do have cable, just didn't use it. Staff was very friendly and showed us to our site. Lot's of rules, but that is a good thing! We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
