Booked a 6 day stay and was ready to pull out 20 minutes after we got here. You are handed a map and expected to navigate your own way through a giant busy campsite with golf carts and unattended children everywhere. The sites are shockingly dirty. Our grill was full with ash and hamburger buns, corn cob on the ground, bottle caps. Quiet time is not observed. Do not expect to sleep during your stay. If a kid cries in a cabin, you hear it in your camper. Customer service consists of nothing more than check-in. The restaurant features people sweating into your food if you're lucky enough to catch their attention so they can take your order. The campsite has been overly cleared for fun stuff, leaving few trees behind for shade. Everyone just walks through your site, kids riding bikes past your rig. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Travel Trailer.

Men’s restroom - abysmal. Two of the four sinks weren’t working. Towels were on the floor to sop up water from the leaking sinks. On one occasion, one of the three stalls was plugged up, the second had no toilet paper, and the last stall had a latch that didn’t work. There was no soap in the dispenser in the working sinks, even after they did their daily maintenance. Play area - very nice. They have go cart racing, foam ball shooters, a beach with a Wibbit (but you are required to pay to use it). Garbage pick up - only between 8 and 10; otherwise, you have to figure out where to to go because dumpsters aren’t on the map anywhere. They recently expanded, so the spots in the back of the park are better (paved, and appeared to be level). Customer service - awful. They will NOT answer the phone. All calls go to voicemail. Previous guest left an expensive 50 amp cable - we left a voicemail message letting the park know about it, and it was still sitting there when we left two days later. Forget about ordering firewood by phone. You have go to to the office to get firewood, but no one was particularly helpful. There was a lot of traffic near our campsite. The interior roads were confusing to navigate. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Travel Trailer.

On a positive note, the grandkids seemed to love their time here. They would probably rank this as a 10. We were not able to take advantage of the lake as it was closed during the week, but it looked pretty cool. The electrical power was clean and worked great. Most areas could use updating (Game Room, Jump Pad, Putt Putt, etc). They appear to have been built about 40 years ago and have not been updated since. Also, it is impossible to reach anyone at this park by phone. They seem to be so inundated with calls that they can't possibly service everyone in a timely manner. Despite the fact that there were only a handful of campers in the park, the WiFi was unusable. Most of the time, the speed would max out at 1 Mbps and would go out completely at other times. Verizon and ATT signals were so poor in our site that we couldn't rely on them either. The 'Preferred' 30 amp sites share a power pole between sites. One of you, if you both back in, will have your hookups on the wrong side of the RV. We decided to move to another site (tried to call to but had to drive back to the office...no one answered). We couldn't level at this site, so moved again (yes, another trip to the office). The sewer connections are in an odd place as well. Finally, there is a brand new section that appeared to be finished. They seem to be nicer sites, but NO shade whatsoever. Bottom line, if we had young kids with us again, we might stay. Otherwise, we'll look elsewhere. Do NOT trust the Google Maps app on your phone. Look at the map and make your own decision, otherwise it takes you on a wild ride through the countryside for no good reason. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Motorhome.

This is a great park for families - lots of amenities and still expanding. Campsites in the newer section are full hookups with pull through and back in, some paved, some gravel, but not much shade. Some campsites were still under construction as well as a few new amenities not yet open for the holiday weekend. The camp store/ranger station was huge and clean, they had lots of fun activities planned for kids. Two pools and a lake/beach area with an inflatable obstacle course. Nearby is Mammoth Cave National Park as well as many other cave and family friendly attractions. Would definitely go back! We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Travel Trailer.

Kids loved the inflatable obstacle course on the lake, which was $15/hour per person. Stocked fishing pond (catch and release) was also a hit. Reserve a golf cart if possible!

This was a fun park to tour the area. We traveled with another non camping family. They were able to rent a cabin next to our site and we spent our time split between the campground and other area attractions. At night the kids loved going to the bounce pillow and playground. We also spent a few days at new beach area. The kids LOVED the beach area. The campground is pretty crowed and sites are tight but it was quiet at night. There are a lot of hills which made bike riding around the park a little challenging for us flat lander Floridians but everything was easily accessible by car if you wanted to drive. Bathrooms were clean but a bit outdated. Surrounding area was wonderful. We did the cave tour, multiple hikes, horseback riding, Nashville and bourbon trail. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for 7 nights at site 94. Our neighbors sewer line was right in our yard area, which was a bowl shape. His leaky sewer line pooled on the area. We asked to be moved several times, but no other sites were available apparently. Grass/weeds was overgrown on our site. Cable and wifi was not working the entire stay. Splash pad had cracking cement which I picked up so as not to cut little ones feet. Camp staff had difficulty working the computer systems making check in and out as well as any purchases a 50 minute affair. They did have a small snack bar which we did not use, and a water slide area. If you stay, would look into sites in the 100's, or the new area they are building. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Travel Trailer.

Kay P, owner at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave responded to this review

Hi Campingmom11,

I am sorry to hear that your stay in our campground did not meet your expectations. I will certainly speak with our maintenance department regarding the sewer line issue and the grass/weeds. We have a mowing crew that comes on Sunday and Monday. Some additional attention should have been taken with that camper's sewer line. I apologize if that did not happen.
The satellite TV normally works just fine. Our staff should have informed you that we had a MAJOR lightning strike on Thursday, June 15th. In addition to trauma injuries and major losses in the campground, the satellite TV and the Wifi systems were knocked out. We still to this day have not recovered fully from the strike...although we are working on it daily. Our apologizes for any inconveniences this may have caused you.
Lastly, just last week we converted to a brand new Reservation system. The timing was not as planned and it did cause backups at the reservation desk and on our phones. Sincerely,

More expensive than we usually like to pay, but includes use of two pools, spray park, water slide, Mini golf, basketball and volleyball courts and many planned activities for kids. Grandkids loved it. Also very convenient to Mammoth Cave tours. Water wars week was a ton of fun. Nice level site with shade. A good location to visit nearby Caves and attractions - right on the main route. We've stayed here twice, and even though this is a resort catered to children, we enjoyed the activities and amenities as well. The campground is on a sprawling campus, with many roads, cul de sacs, and loops. Campsites are intermingled with cabins. The sites are large and big rig friendly. Full hook up sites are available for a premium fee. Overall, the camping sites are well maintained. However, the facility buildings and landscaping have taken a beating. This property desperately needs to be refreshed, as it's a busy resort and nearly always full in the summer. The staff are super helpful, and do a great job to accommodate you. Stayed here 3 days while visiting Mammoth Cave. Also visited Dinosaur World. Our site was quite slanted but eventually got the coach level. Amenities for our 3yr old granddaughter were top notch. 2 pools, splash park, water slide and more! Staff was very courteous with just one exception but I was just as much at fault as the overzealous ranger. TV reception was spotty. FREE WiFi was great and pretty fast. No cable was a problem but I knew that going in and should have brought along some cartoon DVD's. All things considered we had a great stay. Very nice park. Stayed for 2 days while visiting Mammoth Cave. Kids loved the pools and activities. Grounds were clean and well maintained. Our site was a little uneven but we made due. We felt we had plenty of room but may have felt different if the site next to ours was occupied. This park is in far better condition than many other places in Cave City. Beautiful hillside campground. The staff here is amazing, the value of the campground is felt with every activity. Definitely rent a golf cart, we had trouble with our first one and easily returned it and received a different one. The camp store is very nice and offers necessities and gifts. The pool and new splash pad area are beautiful. For leveling ease, get a concrete pad site. The campground is very hilly, so be prepared for the uphill pull. Beautiful campground with tons of amenities. Waterslide, jumping pillow, 2 pools, splash pad area, mini golf, and more! More cabin options than I've ever seen before. We stayed only 1 night to visit Mammoth Cave. Campground is very hilly and our site was not level side-to-side. We had the largest pull-through spot in the campground (#86) and it wasn't very large. Thought we were close to the bathroom, but it was quite a hike and uphill all the way back. Most everyone had golf carts, very hard to get around otherwise (sign says "bike at your own risk"!). No designated dog park area. Nicely stocked camp store. Park seems more suited for small campers and tents, but would stay here again. Definitely a "destination campground" catering to families. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Mammoth Cave in a Fifth Wheel.
