Spacious & beautiful. Offers showers & laundry facility; however, hard to get phone signal & no internet unless you get at&t which offers limited data. No good for my streaming needs. - gwendell

This campground is just off the freeway and next to a Best Western Motel and a small truck stop. There are no services others than the pool and laundry facilities at the motel that are available (pool was closed). Area was clean and grass everywhere. The noise from the freeway and trains could be bothersome, but for 1 night it was ok and the price was right! - stonybirch

Backing into site #47 was quite difficult due to two trees right by the camping pad but leaving proved to be more difficult. My husband very diligently maneuvered his way out nearly taking out our neighbor's site post. We have a 27 ft trailer. The horse flies and yellow jackets swarmed us nearly every time we sat at the provided picnic table. I realize it's the great outdoors but they were everywhere...at the beach, too. The site was all dirt, not level and trash was scattered in the vicinity of site and firepit (cigarette butts, soda cans, bottled water, wrappers, etc.). - Kristin78

This park is spectacularly beautiful. It is remote, about 8 miles from shopping. There are numerous walking trails. There are lots of amenities for families, including swimming, mini-golf and a playground. You will not have AT&T phone service. You will not have internet service. You will not be able to level on your site. For the first time camper, signage and directions are poor. From Dawson Springs, you must cross a bridge that is not load limited for a motorhome. In the regular campground, the sites are very close. The Horse Section is far superior. In spite of that, it is well worth a visit. We would stay here again. - larriin

We were there early in season and was the only RV unit in the Horse Campground. So lots of peace and quiet. Utilities are OK. Gravel sites and hard surface service roads. The road into the park could be wider and it has a lot of sharp turns and curves. Go slow and watch for oncoming traffic. Downgraded from a 10 to a 9 due to the entrance road. Overall, a great campground. GPS may take you on some small roads so be sure that you stay on Hwy 109 from Dawson Springs from the North, and get to Hwy 109 from Hopkinsville from the South and stay on 109 until you see the main sign for the park entrance which is on the west side of the road. - dfc

Nice and quiet! We stayed here for a few months for work. We moved here from a loud "resort" campground which the lots were muddy and no internet when they claimed to have the best. This place was 100% better! The owners just purchased the park, and were constantly making improvements. Yards were mowed and trimmed. The owners were friendly and caring. And made sure every request was filled. Very clean throughout the whole park. Small and quiet, just how we like it. They plan to add a laundry mat eventually. But there is one within a mile away. Close to town, and accessible but not with heavy traffic sounds. WiFi Internet is great! Pet friendly too. Highly recommend! We will stay here again if work brings us back! - JesusRedeems

Stayed here two nights in my 40' motor home. Site was adaquate for RV and car. Great location right of Highway. Had a 50 amp breaker problem and as the owner wasn't there to fix the manager offered an extension cord to the next site or move over to that site. We moved no big deal. As there is not alot in the way of RV parks in that area I was glad it was there and was treated very well by the manager. - HolyMackrelAndy

We stayed here for an overnight rest stop on our way through western Kentucky to Lexington. Booking of reservations was easy and we received our receipt promptly through email. The park is easy to get to from the Western Kentucky Parkway. The park entrance is marked well and the road into the park was paved and easy to navigate. The office wasn't open when we arrived, but there were clear directions on which loop to set-up in if you're there for a short stay that were posted in the office window. Roads to the site were wide and we had no issues driving the motorhome to the site while towing the Jeep. The site was a pull through and plenty long enough for us and the tow vehicle. It was a gravel site, and we only needed one board on a tire to get level. Later we noticed the office had opened so we went in and let the owner know we were there. He was friendly. The site wasn't fancy (no picnic table or fire pit) but was spacious enough for one night, and all hookups worked well. There were a lot of others living there, but rigs were kept up pretty well and everyone was friendly. It was quiet and we got a good nights sleep. We would definitely stop over here again when traveling through the area. - Buckeyefan4
