Oct 2018 - $15.00
New owners since July 2018. This is a Passport America park. $15 for long level concrete pad and full hookups. We have stayed here in the past. Owner was telling me they are planning to redo the picnic table area next to each parking pad, so there is no longer a step down to the picnic table, along with other improvements to the parking pad and grassy areas. They are also planning a shower and laundry building and an enclosed dog park. I mentioned to her of some dog parks we've visited which had a dividing fence which separated the small dogs from large dogs. She thought that was a good idea. The owners also own a boating business which is perfect with two lakes close by. They have installed high speed wifi throughout the park. Had great reception with our rooftop satellite antenna. I did not meet her husband, but she seems really excited about the planned improvements, and really seems to take a personal interest in her customers. We will certainly stop in again on trip back from Florida to Illinois. Looking forward to seeing the improvements. She also told me they have "cleaned out" the long term residents. There are some rigs there for longer periods of time, but very well kept. This park is located behind the service station and restaurant. - gbrogdon
Sep 2018 - $27.00
New owners who are planning upgrades during the coming winter months. They do take reservations and payment can be made with PayPal. Easy access off of I-24 and a good location for visiting the Land Between the Lakes NRA. We had a nice long concrete pad that was wide enough to walk around the RV before putting our slides out. It was surprisingly quiet here, no road noise. OTA TV was good. The gas station it is located behind is big rig friendly with gas and diesel. We would return. - Bob and Inga
Aug 2017 - $27.00
I did not know what to expect at this park because they do not make reservations. Six big rigs came in together to watch the eclipse. We found the park to be clean and pleasant. There were a few longer term renters but no issues there. Nice pads; easy parking. Great hiking/biking trail starts at edge of park. - Couch9748

This is a large COE campground on Lake Barkley. Site 114 is a pull-thru across the road from the canal and parallel to the road. The curb-side faces the road, which means we have a good view of the canal, but the patio area is right beside the road. There is a large open field behind our site. There was barge traffic all day and night. While that did not bother us it may bother some. Several of the loops had real tight turns and the sites were close together and uneven. - winnie1
Aug 2018 - $13.00
This is a beautiful wooded park on the lake. Sites are a nice distance from each other. Ours was right next to the rest rooms. I had to use a few blocks to level. There is a beach area too. - Singer7178
Aug 2018 - $13.00
We stayed in site 113, one of the sites they have for walk-ins. LOTS of space between sites. Canal visible through trees. Staff pleasant. Frequent golf cart traffic indicative of frequent visiting. We've found COE parks to be among the best and this was no exception. - MsLucy

This is a beautiful park. You can bike all over the place, go swimming in the lake, basketball court, kids playground, store, or just walking around. We only stayed on night, but highly recommend it. We were in Section T with full hookups. - Jessicadez
Oct 2017 - $26.00
We stayed in Area A site number 9. Campground is a mixed bag of sites, some with good separation and others that are very close together. Site was water/electric only and although it was a long pull through site, it was not very level and had deep ruts next to the hookups. Several sites near us had to use levelers. The majority of sites in our area were gravel. Dump station was tight getting into due to some trees. The campground is beautiful and well maintained, with lots of hiking and biking trails everywhere. We stayed here from 10/8 through 10/17, which coincided with fall break for the kids (didn't know that). The campground was packed while we were there, and there were many golf carts driving around. There is a dedicated swim area, fish cleaning station, boat ramp, fishing dock and nicely stocked campground store with reasonable prices. The bathroom nearest to our site was dated but clean, a shower area (didn't use), and one washer and dryer just outside of the bathroom (worked great). Workers were nice and informative, and made routine drives through the campground. - RVIN 24-7
Aug 2017 - $28.00
Full hookup sites limited to section C2 . Sites spaced on hillside with wide gravel pads, fire ring and table. 30 amp service in this section, 50 amp on other side of campground. Lots of activities and nice facilities. Check-in took some time because of crowd...check out time is 3:30pm. Back-in sites seem pretty dicey for entry without neighbors helping watch for large rocks, poles, pad timbers and odd angles. Pretty level site. Small store in campground, bike rentals, lots of golf carts, great nature center, elk/bison drive-through 16 miles away, annual hummingbird festival(fun), and town within 5 miles. - Jitime40

May 2018 - $38.00
When we arrived there was no one in the office. We found our spot but the pedestal was SO far away, there was no way we could hook up. After looking that the other sites, we did what they did and parked off the gravel and on the grass. We hated to do this and never put our jacks down, so as to have as minimal impact as possible on the grass. Verizon service was good and this is a nice park to stay in. It gets crowded on the weekend with LOTS of families. Very pretty park and it's nice to have a state park that can take a big rig. Bathrooms were clean but it was hard to get hot water since the markings on the shower were not clear. But it was nice to have the free showers with no sewer. Some of the roads are tight for a big rig, so choose your site carefully. We used Reserve America and the map helped. We would stay here again. Pretty park in an interesting area of Kentucky. - Danni
Aug 2017 - $23.00
Very quiet. Very restful. Nice place to camp close to city and shopping, great place to fish. - Johnjean
Jun 2017 - $23.00
This is a very large and spacious campground conveniently located by Kentucky Dam Village. Restrooms are average and a little run down, but adequate. Spaces are large and some are shaded. Hookups are very far from the sites but the campground is very relaxed about putting your camper where you need to in order to hook up. If you are a bird watcher, there is great variety here. It's a quiet, peaceful place to relax. - JMills

May 2014 - $10.00
Small campground on Lake Barkley in the trees. A little rough around the edges but had lots of beautiful birds. The hosts were very nice but the computer took an extremely long time to register us. As we began showering at 8AM, the cleaning woman came in, plugged in her religious country music and began cleaning. Each sink she rinsed, each toilet she flushed, resulted in a change in water temperature and pressure. Hey COE, it is not okay to scald your patrons! Here's a novel idea - schedule a time for cleaning the restrooms so there's no conflict. Here's another - install regulators on the showers. The bath house appears old and has had many repairs but everything worked. We camped here with friends. The lawn between our sites and the lake had very deep ruts from vehicles being driven on the wet ground. One of our sites was impossible to level in. About half the sites would present a leveling challenge. Smaller campers would do better here. Sites 23-26 are on a loop and more private. Each site had two tables, one conveniently near the fire pit. No trash cans in camping area, you must take it to the dumpster by the dump station. - L. Allen
Aug 2010 - $12.00
Very small COE park, busy on weekends with locals but quiet during week. Wonderfully friendly and helpful workcampers/staff. Rate is with Senior Pass. Nice gravel sites, most with lake front access, good if you have boat. Stable electric, good water pressure. All sites accommodate small to medium size tents, trailers and RVs. Park is not really for big rigs. Only a couple sites fit big rigs and you must be very careful backing into sites due to large ditches on either side of the narrow main road. Don't believe what Reserve America says about the site length: call and talk to the park personnel directly. You need to be part mountain goat to use a couple of the pull through sites. Swimming area is mucky, needs sand in beach area and is full of goose droppings. Small playground for kids but nothing else. Too many trees for satellite. Bathrooms/showers older but clean. Sign posted says: “Please keep doors closed to keep out snakes.” OOOWWW!!! - paularonson
Jul 2008 - $20.00
We camped here in site #6 in a 32ft TT. The site has a beautiful view of the lake. The camp site is very level on a chip gravel surface. The camp site is rather tricky getting into due to the narrow camp drive. Some of the other spots looked very hard to get into some big campers might have some trouble. The bathrooms were very clean but need some shelves in the bath stalls so you can set shower stuff on. Beach is yucky, so you probably want to go to the Kentucky Dam's beach to swim. There isn't a whole lot to do for younger kids the campground has a slide and another child's playground toy. (Manual merry go round.) Dumping can be a pain as you have to make a circle to get back around to the dump station, but the dump station looks new. This is a great campground if your bringing your boat because it has two boat ramps and extra parking but that parking is a short distance from the camp sites. Nice campground for people without children or children that have enough patience to sit and fish. PS: Fishing from the bank was great. - kwnd623

Sep 2018 - $29.00
This is definitely an eclectic park! It contains what appears to be an old closed boat marina and open RV storage around a stunningly beautiful fishing lake with decorative fountain. There are two rustic cabins situated near the lake. There are few vacant sites. The property looks like a combination mobile home park, RV Park and gypsy encampment. Actual permanently located mobile homes and modern RVs on developed well-maintained sites sit next to 60's vintage RV's cluttered with belongings and cobbled up structures. This is not an indictment-people must make choices-but this is not your typical RV Park. That said, our site was level, clean and all utilities were convenient and reliable. Water pressure was 50 PSI at site #21 and it sported a concrete patio, picnic table and fire ring. Space was plentiful, trash dumpsters were reasonably close by and OTA TV reception was limited but clear. Laundry and showers were clean. There is a well-outfitted rec room and a nice children's playground. Propane is available on site. We stayed two nights. We felt safe and welcome. - TMN-15
Jul 2018 - $27.00
This is a park mostly for seasonals, so there are only about ten sites available to travelers. But they are pull thru's at the back of the park with some shade, so they are fine. Everyone was friendly. There is a small lake at the back of the park and lots of places to walk your dog. I would stay here again. - mary mcmoo
May 2017 - $27.00
Wonderful area to stop for a day or two if traveling. My wife and I were in town for a wedding so we weren't really at the park for long periods of time however when we were there everyone was very nice and willing to help if I had any issues. I would say 3/4 of the park are permanent residents and the only visitor sides would be spots 21-28 I believe they are all pull through gravel sites but all are very level. Anyhow, close to Kentucky Damn Lake, restaurants, interstates and full hook ups. Sites are a little narrow but wide enough to put slides out. We would return again if passing through for a break. - Dream Coach

This was a stopover. Although they advertised cable, there was none provided and the internet was down. The bathrooms were filthy and there was no hot water in the women's showers. This could be a beautiful place but needs a good cleaning and updating. Would not stop again. - Lemanuel

Very clean and well maintained. Nice little pool for the kids. Very nice staff. A bit tight, but the owner is right there to guide you every step of the way, and if you listen to him... you will do just fine. He has a good eye for the twists and turns. Very nice park. - Donulus

Showers and restrooms were not open, which was not disclosed to us when we checked in. Had to try multiple sites before finding one with both working water and electric. Site was nice and level. They were very nice folks and when we asked about check-out time pretty much said whenever as there was no one there. - Gail K

We stopped for a couple of days on our way elsewhere...there were only 3 spots taken out of 212....it's had to review when it's not busy but I would think that during the summer and weekends it could be very busy and hard to get around...some of the sites are short and close together, most are level and have some shade....our site was large, and a lot of shade and the services worked great....showers were clean but I like more hot water when showering but it was ok...we had AT&T Cell signal and used our hot spots for WiFi....picked up a few channels with our antenna....easy access off the parkway and a lot in the area to see.... - smoky40
Sep 2017 - $20.00
I imagine this would be a fun place for a family that is going to spend the day at the lake and then sit around in the evenings letting the kids run amok and get to know their VERY CLOSE in proximity neighbors. Fortunately when we were here this week, there were only 6 out of 200 sites occupied so we slept well. There were camp hosts but they never approached us.
It is laid out in a grid pattern with narrow roads and short parking pads making it difficult to back in even with our smaller trailer. The rest rooms were passable, the showers were not. Screen doors are warped so bugs and frogs were inside. Second Kentucky State park this year: they need to update. It was okay for an overnight but the gates were not locked and no security ever passed, making it unlikely we will stop again. - Hidden Barb

This is a fairly new RV park located next to the Venture River Water Park. As this is a new park, there is no shade available since the many trees that have been planted are years away from offering any cover. That being said there is excellent satellite reception. There is a stocked lake that you can fish from that is nice. The restrooms are clean as are the showers. We had good wifi service maybe because we were located near the office. On the downside, there is no cable or laundry facilities. The sites are mostly level and are of crushed rock. The space between sites is adequate and is nicely cut grass. The office has a few supplies but is locked most of the time, even during the 4th of July week. This park is located in a fairly busy area with an interstate close by and a number of businesses in close proximity; however, it was quiet at night. There is a nice playscape for the kids but no pool. This park has potential but the landscaping needs to mature and, for the price, cable and laundry facilities should be added. Great for a place to stop on the way to a final destination or if you are a water park fan. - tomcotten
May 2018 - $53.00
This is a nice little RV park next to the Waterpark. I think this would be a great fun place to spend the weekends and holidays with family and kids! Nice playground and games available. Even on Memorial Day weekend, the waterpark didn't seem crowded and it had some awesome "rides" and a lazy river for us old folks. The RV Park is new, small, and family owned. Really really nice folks who are open to suggestions to improve the new rv Park. The sites are gravel and level. New plastic picnic tables so I hope people respect them and not put their bbqs on them. Small trees so not a lot of shade YET! Little patches of grass which will be hard to maintain I think. Campers letting their dogs pee and running over the grass with trucks won't help. Private showers, but I don't like the push button, one temp kind of faucets that stop after a minute or so. I guess with kids, it's a good idea. Bathrooms are new (it's a new park) and nicely furnished and VERY CLEAN! WiFi not very good, but it was Memorial Day weekend. Even early in the morning at 6 am, no good. I would suggest they invest in some repeaters throughout the park. For $53 a night, WiFi should be better! And they should not encourage folks to stream Netflix since the park doesn't have cable tv. We had a pull through in the middle of the park. All the back ins on the lake were taken. I would have liked a path access to the lake. As it was set out, I would have had to walk through someone's site. Or walk to the other side of the lake to sit. Close to grocery store and laundromat. Walk to one of the best restaurants in the area. All in all, RV travelers in the beautiful Kentucky Lake area should stop here! - RebaW
