We paid 45.00 total to stay and had electric and water. When we went to dump in the morning we were told it was 25.00 fee to use their dump station. The park was beautiful but will never return due to their policies. Yes, they had full hook ups available, therefore I didn't understand their reasons at all. - JuliaKF

Price on website is $30. Correct price is $45. If you fish, you must throw them back. Otherwise pay lake fee applies of $15. No rugs in front of campers (might kill grass supposedly), but room additions are ok (duh). No motorcycles. No alcohol. Grandson fished in wrong area, was told he needed to get a ticket. Got him a ticket... $15, one of the owners came screeching at him that he was not allowed to fish there again (same owner) ......didn't ask for a ticket, or say 'Just checking for tickets', just proceeded to yell at him. He told her he had one, and she commented "how do I NOT know this?". Showed her the ticket he bought from her employee. Terrible place to go. Will never go back. Swimming lake full of seaweed stuff and mud. Owners have too many rules and overpriced. - lecatts

Beautiful park in the woods. Big swimming lake with nice beach, concession area. We had a site by the lake; it was great. Roads were a little narrow but not bad. Owners are great. - V F Coffman

a very small park with few transients. Mostly longer stay. No reservations (the office will tell you not needed) but the host is often not on site. figuring out how to get from the office to the campground is difficult because a hill is in the way and there are no signs. Not big rig friendly...difficult to find a site with both 50 amp and sewer. On the flip side the office staff is nice and helpful...just expect difficulties if you arrive after hours or on the weekend. - tom&kathryn

This is a very fundamental park. Stayed two nights and would return. It is quiet. There are activities associated with a Fairground and locals bring their kids to play in the water feature. Trailer parking and class C parking can be in a wooded/shaded part of the park. We stayed in a 40' class A with no slides. It is a back in only and towed parking is tight. We would return based on our experience.
The County staff went out of their way to stay for our late arrival. They were awesome. - Travelall

Rate reflects Passport America rate. After pulling into the facility for an overnight stay, we were met by the Host who gave us several options for sites. We chose a 30 amp site with water which gave us a clear site to the south for our on-board DTV satellite dish. Hookups were on the wrong side but it worked with both electrical and water pressure was good. The host came back later and made sure everything was good with us and to see if we needed anything. We would stay here again. - StarlifterFE

Nice and quiet! We stayed here for a few months for work. We moved here from a loud "resort" campground which the lots were muddy and no internet when they claimed to have the best. This place was 100% better! The owners just purchased the park, and were constantly making improvements. Yards were mowed and trimmed. The owners were friendly and caring. And made sure every request was filled. Very clean throughout the whole park. Small and quiet, just how we like it. They plan to add a laundry mat eventually. But there is one within a mile away. Close to town, and accessible but not with heavy traffic sounds. WiFi Internet is great! Pet friendly too. Highly recommend! We will stay here again if work brings us back! - JesusRedeems
May 2017 - $35.00
Stayed here two nights in my 40' motor home. Site was adaquate for RV and car. Great location right of Highway. Had a 50 amp breaker problem and as the owner wasn't there to fix the manager offered an extension cord to the next site or move over to that site. We moved no big deal. As there is not alot in the way of RV parks in that area I was glad it was there and was treated very well by the manager. - HolyMackrelAndy

We stayed here for an overnight rest stop on our way through western Kentucky to Lexington. Booking of reservations was easy and we received our receipt promptly through email. The park is easy to get to from the Western Kentucky Parkway. The park entrance is marked well and the road into the park was paved and easy to navigate. The office wasn't open when we arrived, but there were clear directions on which loop to set-up in if you're there for a short stay that were posted in the office window. Roads to the site were wide and we had no issues driving the motorhome to the site while towing the Jeep. The site was a pull through and plenty long enough for us and the tow vehicle. It was a gravel site, and we only needed one board on a tire to get level. Later we noticed the office had opened so we went in and let the owner know we were there. He was friendly. The site wasn't fancy (no picnic table or fire pit) but was spacious enough for one night, and all hookups worked well. There were a lot of others living there, but rigs were kept up pretty well and everyone was friendly. It was quiet and we got a good nights sleep. We would definitely stop over here again when traveling through the area. - Buckeyefan4

To call this a resort is a stretch of the imagination. I'm sure it was once very nice, but is no longer. Does not live up to Good Sam rating. Most of the special attractions no longer seem to be functional. The restrooms are a disgrace. In the ladies room, one must walk through one commode area to reach the second - the first has no dividing door. The roads are paved and the pavement is badly broken up. The sites are paved and the pavement is broken in many sites and they are no longer level. It seems to be a haven for people to leave their campers and visit on occasion. There is a fishing lake and a boat lake - neither was frequented much during our visit. Mainly long-term or permanent sites. Is located about 9 miles from Owensboro and going to the city is like entering a totally different world. Would not return to the campground. Would return to Owensboro. - grandma0942

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here. Very economical and extremely family friendly. There are plenty of activities for the kids. Very quiet at night. When have actually already scheduled another trip for mid August. For those interested, there is a church service hosted at the camp every Sunday morning. - Lee Hall
Jun 2018 - $36.00
This park has been around awhile and it's starting to show.....the sites are level but there is not a lot of room to maneuver if it's really crowded.....a lot of shade and your neighbor is close....make sure u have a extra water hose cause u may need it...too many golf carts in my opinion so be careful when driving....this park has more to offer than any park we have been to, u will not run out of things to do...services worked great, cell service was ok, ATT, we used our hotspots but they do have WiFi if u wish to purchase....got 15 channels over the air...the staff was great and friendly....restrooms were clean but could use some maintenance, showers the same, plenty of hot water....we have a 36' MH and had no problems but longer rvs could....we would stay here again if in the area... - smoky40

Spacious & beautiful. Offers showers & laundry facility; however, hard to get phone signal & no internet unless you get at&t which offers limited data. No good for my streaming needs. - gwendell

We attended a dog show at the Owensboro Convention Center and the event offered RV parking at the center. We were pleasantly surprised that the designated sites were well marked and had both water and electric service (30 & 50 amp). The location was wonderful - only a few steps from the Convention Center's back loading doors and right along the lovely river walk. It's also within walking distance of many restaurants on 2nd Street. The area is well lit and patrolled at night, and we had no concerns staying here for 3 nights. Our site was arranged through the show we attended. I don't know what the Convention Center's policy is for other shows or events, but it's worth asking. Very convenient! - Flying Mantis
