We attended a dog show at the Owensboro Convention Center and the event offered RV parking at the center. We were pleasantly surprised that the designated sites were well marked and had both water and electric service (30 & 50 amp). The location was wonderful - only a few steps from the Convention Center's back loading doors and right along the lovely river walk. It's also within walking distance of many restaurants on 2nd Street. The area is well lit and patrolled at night, and we had no concerns staying here for 3 nights. Our site was arranged through the show we attended. I don't know what the Convention Center's policy is for other shows or events, but it's worth asking. Very convenient! - Flying Mantis

We paid 45.00 total to stay and had electric and water. When we went to dump in the morning we were told it was 25.00 fee to use their dump station. The park was beautiful but will never return due to their policies. Yes, they had full hook ups available, therefore I didn't understand their reasons at all. - JuliaKF

Price on website is $30. Correct price is $45. If you fish, you must throw them back. Otherwise pay lake fee applies of $15. No rugs in front of campers (might kill grass supposedly), but room additions are ok (duh). No motorcycles. No alcohol. Grandson fished in wrong area, was told he needed to get a ticket. Got him a ticket... $15, one of the owners came screeching at him that he was not allowed to fish there again (same owner) ......didn't ask for a ticket, or say 'Just checking for tickets', just proceeded to yell at him. He told her he had one, and she commented "how do I NOT know this?". Showed her the ticket he bought from her employee. Terrible place to go. Will never go back. Swimming lake full of seaweed stuff and mud. Owners have too many rules and overpriced. - lecatts

Beautiful park in the woods. Big swimming lake with nice beach, concession area. We had a site by the lake; it was great. Roads were a little narrow but not bad. Owners are great. - V F Coffman

My review will echo what others have said. Many years ago, this was truly a fabulous resort, but it is old and tired now. However, it is not a dump, and we would stay here again. So much depends on which campsite one gets. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. No cable TV, but over the air broadcast networks from nearby Evansville, IN can be received. We were able to find an opening in the trees to use our portable satellite dish. WiFi is available to purchase, but we did not use it. Our Verizon cell signal was weak, but usable. Hook-ups are a bit awkward being located at the very back of the campsite. Water connections are shared with another campsite and centrally located between the two sites. We needed about 55 feet of water hose to reach the faucet. Our electrical connection box was a disaster, and became unusable during the late evening. I had to use an extension cord and run to an adjacent unoccupied site to keep power during the night. It appeared that there had been a fire at some point, and the box had been "rigged" to make it work. We reported it to the office as we were leaving the next morning for maintenance. The campsite had a broken concrete pad, but it was level and easy to back into. The campground is about 15-20 minutes out of Owensboro in a beautiful farming area. It is quiet and peaceful, but like many campgrounds, the crowd, noise, and activity level picks up substantially on weekends. - WA4TG

Our stay was fabulous! We would highly recommend this place. Everyone is so friendly! Golf carts are allowed. We love riding the go carts & playing miniature golf. The pizza is yummy! They even have a church on Sunday mornings. Gorgeous sunsets!! This is definitely a place for Family Fun! - Kimberly Cool

We stayed here for 5 consecutive months while we searched for a house. It saddens me to see the way this place has gone down in the last 25 to 30 years. It was once a wonderful place although I'd never consider it to be a lake. Now it is full of abandoned buildings and needs some serious work. The laundry room is absolutely horrible and the bathrooms all need updating. Lots of sites hold water very badly and several ponds are stagnant and breed mosquitoes badly. If you're staying longer than a week you need to bring a mower and weed eater as we had weeds a foot and a half tall around our camper constantly. They weed eated twice in 5 months. It was bad. The playground is small and only has two things and the pool is way to small for this size of campground. As busy as this place is they can afford some updates and more activities such as a splash pad for kids and yard games etc The staff was friendly, I'm happy they allow golf carts and the price was good but that's the only positive things I can say. Look at your site before you book it because lots of them are deep in water when it rains - Blended family campers

a very small park with few transients. Mostly longer stay. No reservations (the office will tell you not needed) but the host is often not on site. figuring out how to get from the office to the campground is difficult because a hill is in the way and there are no signs. Not big rig friendly...difficult to find a site with both 50 amp and sewer. On the flip side the office staff is nice and helpful...just expect difficulties if you arrive after hours or on the weekend. - tom&kathryn

This is a very fundamental park. Stayed two nights and would return. It is quiet. There are activities associated with a Fairground and locals bring their kids to play in the water feature. Trailer parking and class C parking can be in a wooded/shaded part of the park. We stayed in a 40' class A with no slides. It is a back in only and towed parking is tight. We would return based on our experience.
The County staff went out of their way to stay for our late arrival. They were awesome. - Travelall

Rate reflects Passport America rate. After pulling into the facility for an overnight stay, we were met by the Host who gave us several options for sites. We chose a 30 amp site with water which gave us a clear site to the south for our on-board DTV satellite dish. Hookups were on the wrong side but it worked with both electrical and water pressure was good. The host came back later and made sure everything was good with us and to see if we needed anything. We would stay here again. - StarlifterFE
