Easy to get to from the interstate, well-marked entrance. Driveway from road to Office is paved, rest of the park is gravel. Check-in was fast and friendly, escort to site, site was fairly level crushed rock. Fire ring and very dirty picnic table. Lots for kids to do, typical KOA. Wifi worked good, cable TV with many channels. Sat TV did not work because of trees. Lots of nearby stores and restaurants. Very small dog run with unkempt grass. Space between sites was very small with dead grass and dead leaves all over. Clean showers and restrooms. Paid less and got more. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed 3 night. Very pretty campground with lots of big trees. The staff was friendly. The campground itself is a typical KOA with everyone right next to each other and our site was not even close to be level. We were so close to the guy next to use he couldn't use his fire ring since it was sitting under one of my slide outs. The hook ups worked fine, but they really need to take care of the roads and level the sites. Lot's of deep tire tracks in the mud and when the ground dried it became an off roading event with my MH. Check your site before you drive to it. Ours had a large tree that ended up being inches away from the rear slide. Never used the bathrooms or showers. Pretty nice playground for the kids and there was the KOA bouncer to use. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

Good access to Louisville. Interior roads pretty poor - maybe because of recent heavy rains? Seemed to be a high number of long-termers, which gave areas of the park a very crowded feel. We felt the park wasn't worth the cost, even though we knew that going in. We might feel different if we had kids. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

Park has ample activities there...fishing hole, trails, pool, kids area, dog area, store, etc. Many choices of electric/water, full hook ups, etc. Camper next to us had fire ring within 3 feet of our rear bumper. We were close to camper storage yard and some tent campers. Weekend had the camp packed like sardines, cleared out weekday. We were far from cabins and seasonal long-term camper spots. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This KOA is good for an overnight stay but not much beyond that. Dirt roads, unlevel, gravel sites are the norm. The road going to the park south of Louisville is always very busy. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

The interior roads and camp sites are gravel. Sites are extremely close together. The roadways are confusing (not well marked) and very tight. They do not seem to enforce the park rules. They do NOT monitor sewer hook ups. A site two spaces away evidently had a sewer connection come loose, which allowed black water waste to spew toilet waste all over the site. I brought this to the staffs attention and they did get it cleaned up promptly.

The swimming pool was closed for some reason. So, they did provide a slight discount.

This would NOT be my first choice if in the area again. Not a good value for the rate. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

I think this was an older park that was converted to a KOA at some point. The park encompasses a rather large area but the layout makes things somewhat tight in places. It looks like some sites in their "Overnite Row" may have been added to try to accommodate larger rigs. We actually had to drive through an unoccupied site (following their golf cart) to get into our pull-thru. If the park had been busy (it wasn't, even though it was close to the Memorial Day weekend), we would have had a difficult time parking. The interior roads were gravel and somewhat rutted, with several very sharp corners. I ended up walking around several times before I determined our path out (we have a larger motorhome, towing). The landscape is heavily treed which added to the maneuvering difficulty, as well as eliminated a satellite TV opportunity. There were a few perma-rigs present, which didn't improve the ambiance. WiFi was poor although VZW was strong. If it wasn't for the ease of making confirmed reservations with the KOA app, I probably would have looked elsewhere. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The park is quite large and is not laid out very well. If you camped here during the peak season, I think it would be very difficult to find your site or get in and out of it. The park is just a few minutes south of Louisville and we were hoping that they offered a shuttle service into the attractions in the city or had an agreement with a tour operator to pick campers up and drop them off again. The KOA in West Memphis offers this service and it's great. We had to unhook and drive into Louisville, where there is major highway construction on I-65 so getting around was confusing and the GPS wasn't much help. There is lots to see and do in Louisville and I think RVers would really appreciate not having to unhook and drive to them. The park is far enough off the interstate so there is no road noise and the Wi-Fi worked well. We would stay here again for a night or two. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is typical KOA in design and amenities. We did have a site with a paved patio, which we really like. The sites didn't seem overly tight or narrow. Long gravel pull-through sites. Easy in and out. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

It's a KOA. It's expensive. The sites are all gravel and it was definitely designed for a different era. Years ago we stayed here and it was a relatively rural area, now it is surrounded by subdivisions and golf-courses. The site layout is rather confusing as sites seem to be everywhere. That said, everything worked as it should and our site was relatively level. Owners were very friendly and put us on the best site available for our size rig. They have a nice fenced dog run which was a treat for our pups. If you need propane, do not fill up here. I paid almost three times what it normally costs me. Had I known a fillup was going to cost me $120 I would have gone elsewhere. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

To start with I will say that the owners are very nice and were very willing to accommodate our requests for different sites upon arrival. The original sites were full hookup, but the sewer connection was 30 ft away from my trailer. The second problem was the electric pedestal was so close to the site that if I gave room for my slideout we couldn't use the awning on the other side because of a tree. I spoke with the lady at the front desk and she let us move a couple sites up. The campground was empty so its hard to judge what it would look like full. With that said I believe it would be BAD. Sites are every turned every direction and make no sense. Lots of them are packed so close your sewer is under the neighbors picnic table. The giant trampoline pillow was a hit with my kid and the playground was OK. The gate to the river area, and scenic Indian Cliffs was locked so we had to walk a good distance to see that part of the park. The weather was beautiful and warm so not sure why staff refused to open that part of the park. I would not go out of my way to stay here again, but if I was in the area and needed a place to stay this would do. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Travel Trailer.

We prepaid and arrived after dark and closing. Park entrance is poorly lighted and the area to which we were assigned had no lighting whatsoever. We had to get out of the rig with lanterns to find the road. Adding to the confusion was the fact that someone else had taken the site we were assigned. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.

Typical KOA. Tight spots, extra charges. Awning almost touched neighboring motorhome. Paid extra for my niece. I am almost done staying at all KOA's since I hate the extra fees they charge at the already high prices. This is a mostly gravel campground, so it was a bit dusty during the day. Pool was nice and big, nice area around the pool, and the camp store was nice and well stocked. Other than that. Stopped here on an overnight towards Nashville. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Motorhome.
