2 RV Parks near Boothville, Louisiana
Feb 2015 - $29.00
The space we were in was extremely tight and much too close to the other units. Site is grasslike ground cover but fairly level. Power pedestal had no breaker, sewer connection was at rear of space, they temp install a hard pipe to your sewer connection and all sewer connections are vented right there so there is a perpetual sewer odor. Water pressure was good. Laundry had 4 washers and 4 dryers, but 2 washers were broke and the table they expect you to use for folding was filthy. There was no place for dogs to be leash free. The park was close to fishing, it was fairly quiet, the owners were nice, but no way would I pay 50 bucks a day. - retiredmomof3

If you are coming to Venice to fish this is closest park - 12 minutes to Venice Marina. This park is very clean and well managed. Cement pads to park on and gravel roads. There is a dock at the back of the property you can fish from to catch reds, black drum, and speckled trout. Warning - with a trailer, as you leave to head north you have to go south to cut across the road and you will hit back of trailer on ground. - Saddle Tramp 65

We were looking for somewhere to set up camp while we were in Venice for some fishing. Came across Stumpfs on Google maps. Called and talked to the owner and set everything up. He was on vacation, but just had me send him a check. Very helpful and laid back, no stress here. I had a question about refilling my propane tanks and he has his son call me and tell me of a few options. There is a propane vendor about 4-5 miles north. Sites are concrete and level. Very clean, grass was freshly mowed. Out of the 14 sites, there were only 4 other campers parked there and they were all new looking. Only saw 1 of the other campers over the 3 nights we spent there. It is a big oil and fishing area, so I suspect they were out working. There are no facilities, but very well laid out full hookups. Each site has a satellite dish and if you want TV, that is your option, I could not get an over the air channels (you are over an hour south of New Orleans). I highly recommend Stumpfs if you will be in the Venice area. - moo2613
