If you like small sites with no grass to speak of, this is for you. If you like no sleep because of all night traffic, again, this is for you. This is a park right up next to a 4 lane busy busy highway with an exit ramp right next to it. There are no buffers or trees to break the noise. I would NEVER stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. - DE Camper
Sep 2017 - $34.00
Great CG to stop at. Friendly service at check-in and very nice pull-through for our one night stay. Very clean facilities. Site was level. All we had to do was to hook-up our connections which were place in a good spot for our 5th wheel. We will definitely stop here again if we are in the area. Wi-fi was strong at our site and easy to use. - dakota ev

We had a lot of rain but it drained quickly. As stated before, staff in the office is great. Lots of information .... and mosquitoes! - har-fl

Nov 2018 - $23.00
We've stayed here many times and that should tell it all. The only problem and not the fault of the park is that the roads have come apart. Faulty construction followed by a law suit. They soon will be repaved. - saintjamescity
Oct 2018 - $20.00
Great place. Although we only stayed one night, we were wishing to have stayed longer. Sites were concrete pads, with new utility hook up pedestals. Fish ponds with sites around them were really nice. Well cared for grounds and outbuildings. - Broomrider

Dec 2018 - $60.00
Well planned RV park. Great concrete sites, friendly staff, close (within 10 miles) Round about construction is finally done after a couple of years so hopefully they will repair the road leading up to the turn off road. - witchey1

This is a campground that some people will love and others will hate. If you want a place that has a lot of socializing opportunities and family oriented activities, you may like this. If you're looking for something quiet and woodsy, you probably won't. There's alot of focus on golf carts so it would indicate there is a regular crowd that stays here (but not permanently). Our review is based on an overnight stay, which we would do again if need be. The positives for this use is that there are a lot of sites so you probably can snag one, the sites are concrete and level. The bathrooms are spotless and they seem to have a lot of staff to keep things working and attend to you should you need something. While we didn't use the pool or rec hall, they sure looked impressive. There's beach volley ball and miniature golf, so I'm sure this is a popular spot for families with kids. The negatives are the before mentioned narrow streets and sites. You have a pretty normal amount of green space in between sites, but our site could not accommodate our 43' foot motorhome and tow and still be able to reach the sewer without our car sticking out in the road. While dog friendly, there is NO dog park and limited grass areas to walk your pet without being on someone's site. Besides the sewer proximity, probably the most frustrating thing was the water spigot is so low to the ground that it takes some gymnastics to connect. - McGarrert50
Nov 2018 - $40.00
I wish I had paid more attention to the poorer reviews of this park, they were spot on! We needed an overnight stop in the area and this park looked promising. Wrong choice. Very crowded, close sites, vehicles and parts of RVs infringing into the narrow roads, tons of unsupervised kids roving through the campground, kids playing football in the narrow streets, barking dogs, loud TVs, stereos, and golf carts galore (with more blaring music), neighbor fire pits a few feet from your rig, and to top it off, a very loud live band playing. There was also some kind of cook off going on and the area where that was held was a mess. Tight corners, high curbs, narrow roads make driving through hazardous. I also don't understand why they put a overnighter in the midst of park central. Look for other options, but if you must stop here, see if you can get a site in the perimeter of the park. The good, there were dog waste stations and the live band ended by 10pm. If you have kids, a golf cart, and like loud parties, this is the place for you. We won't be back. - Jerry and Betsy

Very nice campground right off X121 on Interstate 10 in Louisiana. FHU, OTA TV was decent; no wifi. Clean, nicely spaced sites. Escorted to site by staff. Laundry available but didn't use it. Keypad bathhouse and laundry. Nice pool, on the small side. Awesome sounds from the bayou at night. - Pankie
Apr 2018 - $35.00
Easy access from I-10 but no road noise. This campground backs up on a swamp. We had a large back in lot with large back yard area. There was a concrete patio and gravel pad for camper. We had a back in site and the gentleman who directed us did a super job. The utilities all worked fine. We would stay here again if in the area. It's a good location to visit the Cajun Cultural Museum in Lafayette. - sammy32
Mar 2018 - $34.00
Pleasantly surprised with this park. Perfect for an overnight, right off I-10 (but because of the bridge over the Atchafalaya, really not much road noise just a rumble in the distance). Sites were mostly back ins, gravel, not overly long, and not overly level. Plenty of space between rigs and lots of area. Pool looked nice, staff was very friendly. Trash picked up at site, and park was very clean. - simsfmly

Oct 2018 - $35.00
Very friendly staff and owners. Very helpful with RV set up. Road to this aren't the best but well worth the trip. No problems with maneuvering 43 ft coach and tow just need go slow and use caution. Nice serine gated community. Will return when traveling thru bayou country! Don't follow GPS when coming in from north 59. Use #2 exit 49 southbound! - Bullett2
Jan 2018 - $40.00
The roads getting in to this place are horrible. The staff at sign in were amazing and seemed to love this area. Gravel roads were easy to navigate but not wide enough for us to turn into our site without killing grass. The gravel pad was barely wide enough for our rig. It had been raining a lot prior to our arrival so there was standing water everywhere. Utilities work good, good water pressure, good at&t and verizon signal, wifi poor. They may feel that they are big rig friendly but I would not agree. This is not a resort either. Very quiet at night. They also have a huge field where they allow off leash activities with your furry kids. - Ghettomedic
Jan 2018 - $43.00
Stayed two nights. Staff friendly. Site was good, level. Grass and gravel. No picnic table. Water pressure good. WiFi good. Cable good. Roads are gravel. Road out of the park fraught with potholes. - Clyfford

Dec 2018 - $25.00
Small city campground that offers very good value compared to other Louisiana camping options. Great shade and nice natural setting with stream running adjacent to campground. Careful of lower sites near stream, though, if weather is really rainy as flooding can occur. Really nice network of trails (some on raised boardwalk), two small playgrounds, and a very nice nature center. Campground road and sites are paved but most sites are pretty small and many require leveling. Could be a real challenge to bring in a big rig, especially if park is crowded and site choices are limited. As other reviewers mention, bring electrical and water hose extensions in case you get a site with oddly placed utilities. Verizon signal good; over-the-air TV reception very good. - aowcarol
Sep 2018 - $25.00
One night stay, No service at office, filled out envelop and left money, Tight roads in and out, Site pad uneven, 50amp & water was good. Do not use dump station. Was very quite at night as there was only one 5th wheel in the park. - Doc B
May 2018 - $25.00
This park has very narrow roads and mostly short asphalt. Water and electric hookups are distant to the sites in some cases. The park appears very neglected. It is gated requiring a code to get in and out. We would probably not stay here again. - Lula1943

Was once a nice park, but has been severely neglected over the past few years. Bathrooms not cleaned once during our stay (4 days). OK for a overnight stopover, but that's about it. - JCH44
Apr 2018 - $28.00
Nice clean, quiet park. The owner was very friendly and helpful. All the hookups worked well. The park is a bit off the beaten path, so there was no traffic noise. We stayed on a Saturday, so neither our Passport America nor our Good Sam cards counted for discounts. However, the value was still satisfactory. We would return to this park. - John A Guderian
Oct 2017 - $18.00
Really hate to make negative comments about a facility, especially when the owners are no nice and park so attractive. The park is located about 12 miles off of I-10 on some of the roughest roads we have traveled on in Louisiana. We have driven on some dirt roads not as rough. Tree branches lining the paved road in the RV park need to be trimmed as some thin/light branches brushed against the coach several times as we transitioned thorough the park.
The sites are extremely narrow, some of the narrowest we have seen. If all the sites were being used, you would not be able to extend slides and awnings if your neighbors were attempting the same. Park had very few RV's during our stay. When not busy/at capacity, our site functioned as a drive thru, however at busier times, there would be two RV's on the site, back-to-back and the site would be a back-in. Sites, in my opinion, just do not lend themselves to any outdoor patio enjoyment/living. Too narrow, no adequate room for carpet, picnic table, BBQ or chairs. With that said, our overnight stay was only $17.50 for full hookups with Passport America discount.
Roads in the park are paved and narrow. Most sites appear level with concrete pads, some beginning to crack and a few with broken sections and very small grass patio. All utilities worked as intended with pedestals very close to the coach on both sides.
This park has a very large recreational and play area. Lots of open fields, lovely pool area and large covered pavilion. Park was clean and grass cut. Open sky for satellite reception. Verizon, Sprint and T Mobile all worked well. This venue would lend itself well to a family reunion with children where all activities were at the main pavilion and pool area.
The Passport America rate is awesome, however I do not believe we would return to this park primarily due to the rough 10 mile drive in and out and the narrow campsites. - ECM1

This place is horrible!! Please don't ever stay here. The outside appearance is rough, there's a few broke down campers. The cabins are kind of cute from the outside, but there were spider webs all over. The inside of the cabin wash trashy! The bathroom was gross, filthy counter top, the AC was so dirty it stained my hand, tiles missing from floor, the bed looked like it came out of the 70s. It was just a horrible experience. It reminded me of one of those "pay by the hour motels". Thankfully they refunded our money, but not until the owner explained how his mother passed away the night before, his employees embezzled all his money, and the cleaning lady was new. Just so unprofessional. - Ms_Kay15
Aug 2013 - $22.00
NEVER stay there. This place is a mess, weird people around, after dark you are surrounded by thousands of mosquitos (I got more than 30 bites all over my body). Washing machines are available, but NEVER use them. We did, and because they have iron water, most of our clothes were destroyed, and we had to throw away most of the two loads!!! The restrooms do not even have doors. Such a terrible place. - nikotka
Feb 2013 - $35.00
When we called to make a reservation for a week, the office was insistent upon our coming to McGee's Landing first to pay for our week, sign a contract, and then take our money. After we did that, we were told to cross over the levee to the campground. Now I know why we were told to come to McGee's Landing, first. Upon our entrance to the campground we saw: 1. an old washing machine, 2. old tires, 3. empty beer bottles, 4. an old vehicle with its hood propped open, 5. massive amounts of personal trash, 6. an office that is closed and has an old worn out ice maker propped on the porch, 7. broken lawn chairs/other broken items, 8. other campsites that were under water that appeared to have sewage in them, 9. large equipment tearing up tree trunks. We parked our RV only to be approached by a massive sewer smell. There was mud everywhere. It was impossible to walk our dogs without being in mud or approached by stray cats. I will never stay here again! - hootch

Sep 2018 - $24.00
Good for what it is, a zero frills low-cost overnight stop. Back in gravel sites that are easy to get in and out of, FHU, no Wi-Fi. We came in right after a tropical depression and there were plenty of big mud puddles, But we avoided most with a little effort. You can stay at another site for a lot more money or stay at Walmart for free, but if you want inexpensive digs overnight then this fits the bill. With movies and dining nearby, were happy with this as an overnight stop. The manager was very nice and easy-going. - darwinmoore
May 2016 - $20.00
We stay here when we are in Lafayette. A lot of work is being done to clean up, trees trimmed so Satelite works on most sites. Close to good food. No pool but who cares I don't come to Lafayette for a pool. If you use Silver Sneakers Snap fitness is about 1/2 miles, I need to work out after all the food. Go to BJ's for a Shrimp PoBoy and fries. You won't be disappointed, about 1/2 mile. - User2314
Sep 2014 - $20.00
Spent one night at this park and while the park manager was friendly and nice, will not stop again. Traffic noise was so loud you felt like you were in the median strip on the highway and did not let up until after 10:30 or so. It appeared there were a number of old and abandoned RVs parked there. Since our camper has no bathroom, we had to use the shower and restroom, and they were in bad shape. There was a plunger by the toilets which were not functioning properly, no exhaust fan of any type that I could see for the showers, and not clean. That experience taught me to look at the bathrooms to check them before parking there. - Travellite14

Apr 2018 - $10.00
Nice county park. First come and first served with no reservations. $15.00 a night, but if over 55, it is only $10.00 a night. Just pick your spot and ranger will come in the morning to collect the fee. 10 day stay limit. Cute and Nicely maintained Playground. On the water so there is a boat launch. Fairly quiet, but some activity because it backs to a canal so there is some boat traffic, but it is a peaceful setting. The bathrooms are old and a bit rundown, but we did not use them. Verizon signal was weak most of the time with only a 3 G signal. It was busy on the weekend (Easter) with many local people, but not sure it is busy every weekend? However, there were still a couple spots available. ***WARNING*** if you are over 9'6" or 5000 lbs, you must come in through Rt. 3177 Atchafalaya River Hwy. thru Butte LaRose to Herman Dupuis Rd. Do not come in from Henderson Levee Rd. As there is a pontoon bridge with low clearance and weight restriction. - Tracy and beth
