Nice park with lots to do in season - we camped there for a week in a lakefront site - we were not permitted to head into the site and get a better view. Not well disclosed on their web site but there is a $5 charge for WIFI per day - website says "Wi-Fi internet access through third-party company" - from this I did not think there was a charge. Also for the money they had no dog park We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park has a lot to offer however I called ahead to ask if the pool and hot tub were open and upon being told they were, we were very disappointed to find that not only was pool closed but the mini golf and sand volleyball area was not even built but advertised as an amenity. Kids were very disappointed. Showers needed some cleaning the park is so dark it's hard to even find the way to the showers. And not to help matters the hot tub closes at 8 PM. Seems like a great place in the summer. Lack of information on their website and the wrong information on the phone with the office is a big disappointment. Nice sites all paved picknic table and some grass. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Well planned RV park. Great concrete sites, friendly staff, close (within 10 miles) Round about construction is finally done after a couple of years so hopefully they will repair the road leading up to the turn off road. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Not far from shopping in Lafayette, a multitude of great restaurants and fabulous food. The park itself had Friday and Saturday night entertainment as well as a great New Years Party. Children were provided a babysitting service so the adults could party.

This is a campground that some people will love and others will hate. If you want a place that has a lot of socializing opportunities and family oriented activities, you may like this. If you're looking for something quiet and woodsy, you probably won't. There's alot of focus on golf carts so it would indicate there is a regular crowd that stays here (but not permanently). Our review is based on an overnight stay, which we would do again if need be. The positives for this use is that there are a lot of sites so you probably can snag one, the sites are concrete and level. The bathrooms are spotless and they seem to have a lot of staff to keep things working and attend to you should you need something. While we didn't use the pool or rec hall, they sure looked impressive. There's beach volley ball and miniature golf, so I'm sure this is a popular spot for families with kids. The negatives are the before mentioned narrow streets and sites. You have a pretty normal amount of green space in between sites, but our site could not accommodate our 43' foot motorhome and tow and still be able to reach the sewer without our car sticking out in the road. While dog friendly, there is NO dog park and limited grass areas to walk your pet without being on someone's site. Besides the sewer proximity, probably the most frustrating thing was the water spigot is so low to the ground that it takes some gymnastics to connect. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Their normal reservation policy is for a 2-night minimum. We stayed in November when the park was nearly empty so they told us to just call the day before or day of. When we did, they didn't take a reservation and just said to come. Not sure how it is during their season.

I wish I had paid more attention to the poorer reviews of this park, they were spot on! We needed an overnight stop in the area and this park looked promising. Wrong choice. Very crowded, close sites, vehicles and parts of RVs infringing into the narrow roads, tons of unsupervised kids roving through the campground, kids playing football in the narrow streets, barking dogs, loud TVs, stereos, and golf carts galore (with more blaring music), neighbor fire pits a few feet from your rig, and to top it off, a very loud live band playing. There was also some kind of cook off going on and the area where that was held was a mess. Tight corners, high curbs, narrow roads make driving through hazardous. I also don't understand why they put a overnighter in the midst of park central. Look for other options, but if you must stop here, see if you can get a site in the perimeter of the park. The good, there were dog waste stations and the live band ended by 10pm. If you have kids, a golf cart, and like loud parties, this is the place for you. We won't be back. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The website made this place look great, so we gave it a try. Reality: The sites are close together. It looks close to a RV dealership with so many rigs so close together. You are given a long rules sheet, which is absolutely ignored by many campers, and not enforced by staff. Downsides: Vehicles protruding into the narrow streets. 5 MPH speed limit ignored. Vehicles and MANY golf carts going the wrong way on one way streets. People openly consuming alcohol while driving golf carts. Music so loud in the pool area you can't hold a normal voice level conversation. Partying boozers everywhere. Kids running wild on foot and bicycles. Upsides: If you like loud, if you like to booze it up everywhere in the campground including streets and while driving golf carts, if you want to let your kids run wild, then you will love it. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed from Friday afternoon through Sunday morning. The park was kept very nice. Grass was cut, pool was clean and everyone was having a good time. Lots of families with their children riding bikes. We didn't have anything to complain about. We will go again. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very large park with over 300 sites, nicely kept, with a few pools, a couple of bars (including a swim-up bar in one pool), and a couple of small restaurants. On the weekends it is packed and the pool areas are jammed with mostly families and small children. It empties out on the weekdays. We had a problem with our electric pedestal and they were very quick to fix it. There is almost nothing to do in the surrounding area. The biggest negative is that you have to pay for wifi and it isn't cheap if you want the premium package for streaming. In this day and age nobody should be charging for wifi anymore. It's a nicely kept park but just a bit busy for our taste. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Almost empty during the week and packed on the weekend. Great place for families as there is so much to do including the water park and pool area. Swim-up bar and very large jacuzzi for adults only. They have some activities on the weekend as well. Miniature golf doesn't have any grass glued to the concrete. Wifi is additional cost and not cheap. Lots of cable channels. All hook-ups worked well. The sites on the west side have dead looking palm trees. Most of the sites on the east side have a medium sized shade tree but not always in the spot you might like it to be. Otherwise the sites are concrete and grass. Plenty of grass around for dog walking, although no dog park. You do have to wear a wrist band for access to the resort and the amenities. Washers were $1.50 and dryers $1.25. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a pricey overnight. The park is clean and everything works as it should. However, there is damage to most of the palm trees as a result of past storms. It makes the park look a little ragged. Construction around I-10 to the park make it a little congested. The park is losing it's "Resort" theme.... We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed 2 nites. There were very few other campers in the park. I suspect it is quite full on weekends. We stayed here in a 45' motorhome and our space was easy to get to and to leave. I-10 was under construction in this area and the work extended almost to the entrance of the campground. The roads were not very good, but they were navigable. We toured the area while there and enjoyed the shrimp Po-Boys. We didn't use any of the facilities in the campground, but the pools looked nice. It is a very good spot to spend a night while traveling on I-10 and I suspect it's a fun place on weekends. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park was perfect for our stay to attend the Crawfish Festival. The not enforcing the rule of loud music ruined it for us. There are signs everywhere stating loud music will not be allowed. But a few was ruining it for many with the loud music. When big speakers are posted outside the rv that is not good. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed two nights. Easy access from I-10, but far enough away that there is no I-10 traffic noise. There is good signage and it's easy to find. Staff is very pleasant. Easy to navigate a big rig in the park except they need to trim the trees so that they don't brush against the RVs. Also the trees can be a problem on many sites when you are leaving. Some of the trees are planted in bad locations. There was some sort of utility box near the back of our site which made it aggravating pulling in. The metal posts protecting the box clearly indicated that they had been hit by RVs. The roads and pads are concrete. The utilities were toward the back of our pull through site, but worked well. The WiFi is not free. A real bummer. Verizon signal was okay. The cable has numerous channels and come in clearly. They want you to wear wrist bands. I didn't like that. I doubt we would stay here again primarily because of the trees not being trimmed and the WiFi not being free. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

For two years now, hot tubs did not work. Told by maintenance, not enough money to repair it. Even though we had reservations for a certain campsite (with a receipt), the office made a mistake and we have to move sites. We were here for two months. Site surface is a concrete pad, some lots provide shade. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
