Very large park. Some sites have a drop off from the asphalt road which can wreak havoc when backing in. Gates close at 8:30 pm but there is an alternate way in. We had a lot of ants and bugs but had spray. Friendly clerk at check in. - Maltaman
May 2019 - $37.00
We've been here many times. Got out of RV'ing for a few years but just bought a new rig. Decided to make this our maiden trip for it. Sites are mostly level. All paved. It's swampland so the skeeters are profuse and hungry. Easy to get to and from NOLA. We'll probably do it again. - mwallace61
Apr 2019 - $37.00
Wanted to go to French Quarter Fest and stayed two days. While park is adequate for short term, the roads and bridges to get thru NOLA are a nightmare. We took ferry into the French Quarter and just to get there with toad was awful and to park near ferry was a rip off. Unfortunately, if you have a dog, the grounds around your narrow site are sticky weeds and our dog would barely walk on it. Sites are long and narrow. Depending on site, you may or may not have a dry place to put carpet or chairs down. No shade. We're glad we saw NOLA, but probably will not return. Don't think the motor home could take it again. - jnlrobb19

We stayed here 1 night while traveling thru New Orleans. It's a older park but well maintained. The showers need a little updating but was clean. Would stay here again. - BonnieQ
Aug 2019 - $54.00
Very convenient if you are needing to be close to New Orleans Airport. GPS brought us there through a neighborhood, but convenient to continue west on I-10. We were right across from the pool. All back ins, although info said there were pull through sites. Staff very helpful getting us parked. - JanMan
May 2019 - $53.00
We had a site directly in front of the office (#51) and it was one of the best KOA sites we've ever had: large concrete pad, total shade, patio table and chairs, and lounge chairs. The sites are close together, but such is commonly the nature of KOAs. We stayed here to visit the National World War II Museum and the location is tolerable for that purpose (New Orleans traffic is a nightmare). The bathrooms and showers were very clean, but are showing their age (little things like the doors are starting to delaminate a little at the bottoms). The staff was very helpful, including assisting each person in backing into the sites (although we didn't actually need any assistance). There is a shuttle that runs several times to and from the campground and New Orleans, although we didn't use it. - Kaz

I stayed here for an EMS conference and found it very convenient to to the French Quarter. It has a lot of noise (sireens, traffic) the further you are from the front office. Extremely clean & friendly staff. Planning another trip with my wife. - Mark Palmer
Oct 2019 - $100.00
Stayed here instead of a hotel while in town fo an October conference. Booking was easy, staff was very friendly, we got a reminder call and we lucky enough to get later checkout so that we could participate in a food tour on departure day without relocating. Morning coffee was good and a nice touch. There was a sweet workout room, pool and hot tub. Each site is spacious and clean. Good security but right under interstate- so some noise to contend with (not a complaint just a fact). Easy walking or Uber/Lyft to all New Orleans attractions and nightlife. Bathrooms were great- could be a hair cleaner- but again- overall- we would return happily! We didn't need it- but unless you have a deluxe spot- there are no fire rings or picnic tables - - Whereswaldo

Dec 2018 - $40.00
We were unable to locate an attractive, reasonably priced RV park in the greater New Orleans area. This park was not an exception. It is located about 15 minutes from the French Quarter during non rush hours. It opened in June of 2017 & currently has about 45 spots. Uncompacted crushed rock cover the sites between a paved road. Heavier RVs tend to sink into the rock a few inches on several sites. Sites are long enough for a 45 foot RV with room for a vehicle beside. No extra room for table, chairs etc. No trees or landscaping & very little grass. Stadium lighting keeps it very bright at night. The whole area for several miles in each direction is a heavy industrial zone. Not in any way attractive. Nearest restaurant, other than the Boom Town Casino, is about 5 miles away. There is one utility building with 3 washers, 3 driers and 2 private bathrooms with showers. On demand water heaters produced endless warm water for laundry and showers. This shower/laundry building was reasonably clean & relatively new. The camp WiFi worked periodically & was very slow when we were able to connect. Very loud military jets fly low overhead several times 3 or 4 days each week. There was some moderate road noise during commuting times, but none at night or weekends. Very subdued low key sounds from surrounding industrial plants during the working day, but quiet at night. Electric, water & sewer all worked well. 30 and 50 amp service at most sites. No caretaker on site but he lives nearby & was easily reachable by phone and helpful. Most occupants are workers staying here long term. Only cash or check accepted. I stayed for a month & paid $500. - RobC

Was planning to stay until after Mardi Gras, but after our experience here I'll never come back to New Orleans! There is 1 bathroom & 1 shower together which was nasty! And had no toilet paper ever! The building is falling apart! Had 2 bicycles stolen which were chained to the RV in a matter of 10 days! The walking gate which is supposed to have a code in & out doesn't work! They have cameras that work but he hasn't offered to show the tapes to police! It's very noisy with street racing daily at night right behind the park! I've never been anywhere that I had to be buzzed into & out of the restaurant but it's common here! I will never ever visit New Orleans again! If you plan on coming here you're wasting your money! Lock everything up always & never leave your place unattended! Even in broad open daylight! - Wanda Manning

We reserved a site for 3 nights to attend a concert. The website made the place look great and the reviews were fair. Upon arriving we were surprised to find cop cars all over the place outside the gate, but went on and checked in. We were greeted by a very helpful gentleman who helped us find our site. Pulling into the RV Park the road was paved but there was a 90 degree turn that was tight to make to enter the park. The park was gated and had a security fence that went all around the park. The site pads were adequate with 50 amp hookups, sewer and water. We did not stay long enough to observe the conditions of the other facilities. However once we started getting set up we started noticing people who appeared to be doing drugs. My wife and brother-in-law took our dogs out to pee... our dogs were on a leash, and another dog attacked our dogs. The other dog was not on a leash and the gentleman who had the dog did nothing to stop this. We at this point had to leave to take our dogs to receive care. (We also at this point left and went to the another park a few miles down the road.). Highly recommend you use google maps to check this place out before checking in and read the reviews. - brelandr
May 2017 - $35.00
First, the owner is a nice man and very helpful, BUT, the RV park itself is a sty...litter and garbage everywhere. Never been to a park this bad. Our site had the water and sewer on one side of the coach and the electric on the other side. No breaker on the box. Had to run the power cord under the coach...and I'm not as young as I used to be. We have a large motor home with a washer/dryer and 3 a/c units. No problem with power. Sewer backed up when I started dumping grey water. The owner was siting someone else nearby and said he would get the plumber in. He said the only problem was too many sites dumping at the same time. It backed up again the next time I used it. The ONE bathroom available has a toilet, sink and one shower stall and I'd only use it if desperate. Fortunately, most people staying there have their own bathrooms. The laundry room is a mess and contains rusty old equipment. Don't even know if it works. Garbage all around. There's a fence around the place and a secured vehicle and pedestrian gate. That's good, because the neighborhood is really bad. One of the contractors staying there told us his boss won't let him work before 7 or after 4 during the week and never on weekends because of the crime. He said you go the wrong way down a street and you could be in trouble. There's a bar down the street that is jumping all night and cars and motorcycles speeding and racing along the street...all night long. The owner also operates a restaurant just outside the perimeter of the campground. It is in great condition and the food is excellent. But, it too has a security door. Why did we stay here...a week? It's conveniently located to I-10 and our friend back home's Dad lives near the city and gave us a grand tour. The best way to deal with crime is to avoid it, and that's what we did. Again the owner is a very nice man, but he apparently operates a number of businesses and owns rental property, so this park is probably an after thought. - DJanis

We spent 4 nights here to visit NoLa's French Quarter. I looked at the map on the site to book our site, and chose a " Deluxe Waterfront" site... we were so disappointed in this.. (see picture of our Deluxe Waterfront view) the map does not show you that you are on the dockside of a marina. Now. That being said.. we had a very good stay. The park is clean, quiet, and safe. The staff were absolutely amazing. We had cocktails one night up in the bar & grill and the waitress worked her tail off.. she was wonderful. They provide a shuttle for $6 round trip to the French Quarter which is great! We chose to Uber over simply because of the timing but definitely a great option. They pick up trash from your site all day long. Our site was gravel, and very level. The road coming into the park has been recently paved and was a easy drive from the freeway. Don't be out off by the area on the way in. It's an old train yard area - but there were no issues at all. We really did enjoy our stay here and would absolutely return. Now that I know what to expect I'll wont be disappointed in our location. All sites look level and the roads are wide enough to navigate big rigs. There were ALOT of big rigs so no problem at all The sites are close together (we heard our neighbors arguing late at night) however there are large Oleander bushes planted between sites so we did have privacy. I so recommend this place, it's very nice and the owners clearly work hard at making it a great spot. - Nan Griff

I am not sure what others are seeing in this park that I did not see. We had one of the supposed super sites facing the water. The staff did come out and trim the trees so that we could get our slides out without them getting scratched. However, we could not put out our awnings, nor could our neighbors because the trees are too close. The super site only included a ratty at best pick nick table that should have been thrown out or resurfaced years ago. We did not have enough room to park the tow vehicle behind the motorhome as the super sites were to short. The hookups were at the very back end of the site and it took all of our hoses and cables to make the connections. The sites were outlined with large large rocks that were not even placed end to end - several were missing or knocked out of the way. The sites were so narrow that with our slides out it was an obstacle course to try and get to the door of the coach without tripping over or stumbling over the rocks. The landscaping was minimal and not maintained at all. Even the areas around the pool and clubhouse were not maintained. There was weeds growing up in all of the supposed landscaped areas and tile and rocks all missing in the pool area. The wifi was unusable as others have mentioned. For the price we paid this was by far the worst value I have ever received for my money. The owners should be ashamed to refer to those as "super sites". We will never return and I will make sure everyone we talk to knows that I would never recommend this place. - dld3217

We have stayed here 2 times before when going thru New Orleans. Resort is on the water (Lake Pontchartrain). This place has a restaurant (good food), entertainment Thursday-Sunday, Park store, shuttle service to downtown New Orleans (Not sure of price for this). Nice pool, Only complaint about pool was no railing for getting in and out of pool. Park roads were dirt/gravel (as was site). Electric 50 amp/water/sewer was good, site was level. The road going to the park was being paved. Park is in an industrial area which makes you wonder about the safety of the area but the park has 24 security and is fenced in (need a code to get in at night) and of course security is always nearby. Although kinda pricey this is one of the nicer parks in the area. Would stay here again. - Jeriann

This park is brand new. The laundry facilities were amazing and the oversized concrete pads were awesome. We were pleasantly surprised how nice everything was. The park is 5 miles from downtown, easy access, lock gates, convenient store, paved parking for the RV, big rig friendly. Pull forward and back in sharp. I have a 35 foot Toy hauler and there are no pull-throughs. - Roadglide
Feb 2014 - $20.00
Stay anywhere but here. This place is a cramped filthy mess, filled with run-down FEMA trailers, and right next to the horrible-smelling oil refineries. At the entrance is a run-down convenience store that looks like crack-ho central. The inside of the park and the motel were no better. Each site had sewer vent stacks sticking out of the ground emitting noxious smells at eye level. I wouldn't stay there if they paid ME $20 a night. - meltar
Sep 2012 - $23.00
This park is not in a good area. There is a gate that closes at night and we felt reasonably safe in the park. The parking lot of the on site convenience store is full of 'Ladies of the evening' up to mid morning. There is nothing to do in the park itself but I guess that's not what you go to New Orleans for. Rate was for a monthly rate while we were in the area working. It is close to the Interstate for access. Depending on traffic the French Quarter is 15 minutes away. Construction on the nearby drawbridge makes access tricky depending on the direction you come in from. The manager of the park knows nothing about the RV lifestyle. I was dumping the holding tank before we left and he said 'So that's how you dump the tanks'. Not bad really for a few days of sightseeing. - catadjuster

The park was secured with sliding gate card. It would be difficult to enter with out pass code. Flowers and plants around the pool area. The park is old like everything in New Orleans. It fits right into the the trip. For New Orleans I feel the park was good . The park was easy and close to downtown New Orleans. I rode my Harley every day with no problem. - Roadglide

Fellow RV'rs please don't stay here. Not secure, as it should be. Main office was spooky. We were told that the main gate would be closed. It was never closed. Security zero. I have no idea why we stayed here other than we were misinformed. We made a reservation well in advance and they had no record of it. Stayed here one night and left as early as we could. The office staff was fairly friendly. - mywinnie1-
Mar 2014 - $31.00
OK, all the previous reviews are correct. Scary part of town, so we didn't even grocery shop at a nearby grocery store while we were here; will do it when we arrive at next destination. Bathrooms were old but surprisingly clean. If you want a close destination to French Quarters and don't mind HWY noise, then this is an okay place to stay for a couple of days if you are careful and also do your grocery shopping before you arrive. It also rained two days really hard while we were here and the drainage is good. Should have been $20 a night not $30!! There were only about 4 RV travelers in the whole park; the rest are permanent workers that park their RVs there. - kemosabe
