5 RV Parks near Cameron, Louisiana

Mar 2011 - $20.00
We stayed here while working at a local plant. It is the perfect place to stay if you are in the area for work or for enjoying the Louisiana Gulf Coast. Monthly rate is great for workers and the owners are good people. There is a laundry facility on the property and pets are welcome. Kids are also welcome although there is not any playgrounds or such for them. We would definitely stay here anytime we are in the area. - Deb Anderson
Oct 2019 - $12.00
Peaceful and quiet. Bridge rattles but little traffic at night. Tow boats and barges frequently go by. - Bill w/bus
Mar 2018 - $12.00
Small county park right on the Intracoastal waterway. Great view of busy waterway barge traffic from sites 3-12 (site 9 is narrower, no table). Sites are quite wide. 50A & water, onsite dump station. Sites are gravel. Reasonable dog walking, ok shower.
Traffic crossing steel span of highway lift bridge is very noisy due to huge construction project nearby. It does get quieter after dark. Bugs everywhere at night.
NOTE: Entrance is a sharp right JUST after crossing bridge. It is marked but no warning.
Sites 3-12 are clearly designed for motorhomes to be able to pull straight in to the fence to view the waterway through the windshield. The camp host claims they are back-in sites; ignore her. Trailers backing into these sites will have doors and utilities on the wrong sides. Utilities on the other sites are conventionally oriented for backing in but those sites don't have great views that 3-12 have. - bobcovey
Jan 2017 - $6.00
This is a Parish owned park and the rate shown is with the National Park Service Golden age passport. Full rate is $12. The barges, pushed by tugs, are at your door step and are unique to watch. The highway is a fair distance away but the lift bridge has a metal grate roadway surface and makes a loud roar if the semi-trucks have off road treaded tires. All other trucks are not bad and cars and pickups are quiet. This place fills up in the summer as it has 2 boat ramps and the fishermen take over. - MH-Tom
Mar 2011 - $15.00
We stayed here while working at a plant in the area. Monthly rate could not be beat. Owners are great people, making this a very pleasant stay. This RV Park is pet and kid friendly, even though there is not any facilities such as playgrounds for kids. Proximity to Sulphur and Lake Charles, La as well as to the Louisiana Gulf Coast makes this park conveniently located. There are no large shade trees at the present, but over 25 have recently been planted as the past hurricanes had wiped out the large oaks that had been on the property. Cable and phone are available through a local company. Facilities such as laundry, restrooms and showers are cleaned daily. We will definitely stay here anytime we are in the area. - Deb Anderson
