Nice park. Showers were modern and very clean. Sites reasonably level, as long as you positioned your rig in the right spot. Some highway 12 traffic noise, but not too bad. All in all, what you would expect from a KOA (including the price) with one exception. Almost all concrete pads are badly broken up on at least part of the pad, and obviously have been so for quite some time without repair. Likewise, patio pads are really attractive square brick tiles, but on some sites, the support base has eroded, so the tiles rock when you step on them. Could be a hazard to the elderly or those with balance/stability challenges. WiFi was very good, even without our booster antenna. We would stay here again for sure. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed 2 days, very pleased with them park and the staff was extremely friendly. There was a game going on so the RV park couldn’t accommodate us for 2 nights when we called, so they offered us a site in their long term. It was fine. We would definitely return. We needed to borrow a ladder and the front office was very helpful. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

This was just an overnight stop over for us on the way to Florida from Texas but it was convenient and clean. There were RVs of all sizes in the park. Our site was just large enough for motorhome and the car had to be parked up by the laundry area. Wasn't an issue but a little unnerving just because we didn't know the area. We didn't use the pool area but did use the dog park. Very clean and kept up. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

TRAVELER BEWARE, OWNER WILL NOT TAKE TIME TO REPLY TO CONCERN I gave this review 1 star as it was a nice facility, but only on the surface. Vacationers are not the primary focus of this KOA because it.s all about keeping all sites full, long term and short.

The laundry machines were defective and saturated our clothes with a putrid smell. This smell cannot be removed so all the clothes, several pants, shirts, underwear, etc. even after washed several times with vinegar, ammonia, and backing soda can not be worn without affecting wearer's respiratory system. Clothes were disposed of as the stench of chemicals was so bad they could not be donated.

To worsen things I have written the owners several emails to which not even a simple sorry to hear about your concern. Wrote KOA corporate, they washed their hands and refuse to engage. If they treat a simple thing like this in this fashion I hope no-one ever has a major issue where they need owner engagement. Be warned, be aware, and be watchful so everyone stays safe.

I also stayed at a total of 10 other KOAs on this trip and if there were concerns, one changed our site, the owners replied immediately to our concern email. This facility is run by owners who do not even take time to engage with vacationing families that have a concern so USER BEWARE, THINK TWICE BEFORE USING THIS KOA, THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER RESORTS IN THAT AREA. Thank you for reading and I wish you safe journey. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here one night on our way to Texas. We asked for a pull thru site and wanted to stay hooked up. They accommodated us, but our toad was in the road. They put cones around it and people could get by so it worked. Sites are all cement and close, our awning close to touching RV next to us. Since we were just here for the night it was fine. Staff was friendly and told us how we could walk across the road to a couple restaurants which was great since we stayed hooked up and were tired of riding. Easy on and off i12. Would stay here again just for overnight. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

Friendly front desk for checking, then we were escorted to our site. We had a concrete pad, with concrete under the picnic table. Sites are very close to each other and if a trailer had pulled in next to us, we would have been sitting on their sewer hose and if they had a slide, it would have been in our lap. Our RV is only 23" not taking up much space. Some of the sites didn't have grass at all and the grass on our site needed mowing. Children seem to enjoy the pool, it was full when we pulled in. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very clean KOA (franchise). Staff is very friendly. We stayed one enroute travel night, but this is convenient to the Baton Rouge area. A Sams's club is nearby with excellent fuel prices. The park is quied, located several blocks off the I-12 highway in an area with lots of trees. One staffer recommended the area's Don's Seafood restaurant (since 1934) for creole cooking. Her mother worked their as a young lady decades ago. We tried it, and was excellent. The KOA park map flier has a $5 off coupon not needed to get us there, but nice. This is a good clean KOA. As previous reviews stated, the owners are very nice - she took our phone order and he took us to our site - both very friendly and welcoming. The work camper who checked us in was neither. First the good: the pool area, playground and dog park all looked very nice. The laundry was not enclosed - not so nice. The miniature golf was old and worn out. The restrooms were outdated, only two stalls to serve the central and rear of the campground, but were clean. The sites were in bad shape - it was like living in a gravel pit for three days. The guy who took us to our site told us that they were getting rid of the grass and the trees. The very crowded sites have dead tree trunks, grey crushed gravel (that is not raked or kept neat) where grass once was and heavily cracked cement slabs for the RV. Called pull-thru, but the sewer is at the extreme back of site, so must disconnect and park car in front to reach sewer. Very overpriced for what they offer and this is not a premium destination site. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

Good service. Convenient location to shopping and food. We stayed in site #5 for three nights. Sites are all level. It appears that sites #1 to #48, which are closest to the office/store, are for used for short stays. Sites #51 to # 121 for the most part look like long-term residents. The far back rows, sites #101 to #121, looked like a trailer park. All sites are close to each other. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park and employees go above and beyond to help you. We had to leave 3 days early and they adjusted our cost. Our site was concrete and just long enough for the MH so the Jeep had to be parked cross-wise. We were next to the pool and had gravel between us the the neighbors who were just feet away. This is an easy park to enter and exit with good paving. If in the area again we would definitely return. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

We stay in the pull through section at this campground regularly. Typical KOA - provide escort to site, well maintained, very clean, compacted gravel between sites (a few sites have grass), very nice pool/hot tub with large deck/tables chairs, outdoor pavillion, small playground, mini golf, poor wifi, picnic table on paver pad, narrow paved streets and narrow level concrete pads. They do not pick up trash like most KOA's. Most sites are crammed together. Mine had room barely wide enough for the picnic table. There are a few shade trees. My site was not long enough for my RV and tow so had to park the tow sideways. They provided traffic cones before I could disconnect. Many sites can access satellite but request this when making reservation if satellite is desired. Easy access to/from I-10 about 8 miles east of Baton Rouge. This is your best option of the not many good campground choices if you are visiting Baton Rouge. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA has been a favorite in the area for a while. I had not been there for a while and was surprised by the Chang's. A flood two years ago killed many trees. However, the campground replaced their concrete pads and installed new hookups. All was done well. In an area where most campgrounds are filled with workers who follow distasters, this KOA remains a family campground. A large pool and miniature golf course are popular. We did have a problem with a group of 10 to 12 year old boys hanging out in an empty site next to us. All were noisy and one urinated in front of my wife and me. I chased them off and got a lot of lip for it. I did report this to the managers and they dealt with the problem in a satisfactory manner. We will be back. We haven't stayed here since October, 2015. That review contains a better description of the park. Once again, we were able to get a level, pull through, FHU site with cable TV. Since most sites are heavily treed, you may want to specify if you want one of the few satellite friendly sites. The sites on the back of the park still appear to be for extended stay customers. All the trees make the sites seem even closer together. The Wi-Fi was fine for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. We have always enjoyed the pool. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful as usual. Because it is unusual in this area of the country, I really appreciate that they have a recycling bin. I still think the rate is bit high at $50+. Very clean and really very friendly staff. Its somewhat cramped but maneuverable. Sites are closed to each other but adequate. Did not like the fenced in pet area, not clean. Big grassy area next to it that all pet owners used instead. We ALWAYS pickup after our small dogs. The big dog owners do not do this and its at all parks we stay at. This definitely is a family park. We stayed overnight. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Motorhome.
