Apr 2011 - $25.00
This is a small RV Park & Marina just south of the town of Lake Arthur on the Mermentau River. River sites are available. No restrooms. No Wi-Fi. Verizon cell phone does not work here or in town but AT&T does. Marina available for almost any size boat even up to 100'. $25 day/$125 week/$225 + elect month. Marina $3 foot + electric month. - Capn Kenny and Nancy Sallee
Mar 2019 - $20.00
$20 Best bang for the buck for an overnight. Older park off I-10 between NO and Texas. Hard to get hold of someone here as they don't answer phones and aren't in the office but very friendly and accommodating when you can track someone down to check-in. Mostly permanents here and some aren't in the best of shape. Gravel roads and pads with grass in between. Wifi worked pretty good. Biggest negative was water which was murky and had an oily sheen. Make sure you've got bottled/tank water for drinking. Looked like they had a bathhouse but didn't explore as only there for the night. Pull-thru site long enough to stay attached. All in all a perfectly ok spot to spend the night. - Todd Hancock
Apr 2018 - $20.00
Very fast check in. Very helpful, friendly staff. Level pull through site. Nothing fancy but had all we needed. Even a pond for my dog to play in. - Bruvtravels
Mar 2018 - $20.00
We were first escorted to a site that was wet with smelly water. We asked for a different site - and it was fine. This campground needs quite a bit of TLC. Many of the trailers are quite run down. It's fine to get off the highway, but that's about it. - CJVJn1Doug
Aug 2019 - $45.00
A real hidden gem of an RV Park. Relatively new (or being rebuilt) and well maintained. It's close to the interstate but about a mile off the road so watch for the signs. The water park is absolutely beautiful and laid out for all ages. The park is well maintained. Owner/staff is so very helpful and concerned about making your stay great. The park seems to still be in development. Some sites have some slope/ leveling issues some are just fine. Traveling I-10 you won't want to miss this park. Great value. - americanrascal
May 2019 - $45.00
This park has only been open a year, but they are doing everything right. Owners live on site and are extremely helpful and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again! Perfect 1st night stop after leaving San Antonio. - eventer48
Aug 2019 - $35.00
This small family-owned campground situated between Lake Arthur and Grand Lake, in the heart of Cajun country, is a beautiful place to get away from it all, while still being within an hour’s drive to many of South Louisiana ‘s attractions. It is a mom and pop campground run by friendly, accommodating hosts. The river that runs between the two lakes is just a few feet from all full-hookup campsites, and is perfect for kayaking or doing a little fishing. Large pecan and oak trees, which are plentiful throughout the property, provide a cooling canopy to the humid LA summers. Most trees are trimmed high enough to allow for parking nearby. The sites are grass, or dirt, but fairly level. Water, sewer, and 30/50 amp. connections are provided. The fully stocked camp store has just about anything you need, reducing the need to make the seven mile trek into the small town of Lake Arthur. There is no pool, however, there is plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes and explorer. - DSLACamper
Sep 2018 - $35.00
Nice clean little park on the lake. Nothing fancy, has a boat dock, sites are grassy but level and long. You could park trailer, vehicle and a boat no problem. Site 7 is right next to the Camp Store and the WiFi was amazing fast. Store carried a bit of everything. This park is a bit out of the way but was convenient for us on our trek home. Would come here again if we were on this route! - Gloria S.
May 2016 - $35.00
We stayed the weekend during the Regatta, had long time reservations & were given an excellent location. Brother-in-law was beside us in a 43' Motorhome.
Staff were very helpful, the store carries tobacco products, ice & other amenities making it convenient.
It was a grass pad, campers were close & we brought a boat. - JSRFrench
Aug 2013 - $50.00
They are too strict; they will lock the bathroom for 4 days if you accidentally leave it open once. Wi-Fi doesn't work very well. They need more washers and dryers. The people that live here are very nosy and stare at you like your crazy. The manager does not bleach the bathroom shower and there is only one for 20+ people. And the toilet looks horrible and the seat is broke, there is never soap to wash your hands or paper towels. There is never toilet paper. Its just somewhere I would not recommend or stay here ever again. - mrs.to.be.
May 2013 - $20.00
Clean, friendly, easy access to park and town is right off IH10. The highway traffic was not an issue, when you sit outside you can see it but you don't hear it. Would camp here again! - cuz
Feb 2010 - $20.00
The previous review was obviously written by owner or close friends. This park is clean, has full hook-ups, no cable, no Wi-Fi, and is a former FEMA camp from Katrina. Half dozen FEMA mobiles and same number of RVs,mostly guys working in Jennings area. It is right along the I-10 and there is LOTS of truck noise 24/7. No washroom or other facilities. No owner/manager on site. You call a number and he tells you where to park. Lots of rain made the field a bog, so he told us to park on a cement pad. No turnaround room at end of road and no pull-throughs. Jennings is a poor Lousiana town, has a Wal-Mart and a small grocery store, couple of restaurants and that's it. There is a better looking park about 20 miles east. We didn't feel unsafe, but not really safe either. - CanCat
Mar 2018 - $30.00
People at City Hall were very nice but park was pitiful for the price. Most of the Pads were grass and were too wet to use. No one on site to ask questions. No trash cans or trash pick up that we could find. Ok for quick stop off but not to stay! No picnic table or anything! - James B Davis
Feb 2017 - $30.00
We had trouble locating the park from the street as the only sign we saw was to the city animal shelter. Once we did find it we decided not to stay as this is truly set up for rallies. There are hookups in open fields and also on large concrete parking lots. Maybe, and probably not for us anyway, would we stay here if attending a special event. A Walmart parking lot would be better without the fee, although you would not have water/electric connections. - pwdorris
Apr 2016 - $20.00
We were here for a rally. This is a large rally grounds over 500 sites. We parked on the grass and gravel. We had 30 amp service and there were shared sewers. There was 50 amp available if you parked on the blacktop. The facilities were very nice. No showers. - houseonwheels
Mar 2019 - $24.00
This is a city-run park. There are no restrooms or showers but we didn't need any. The host was very pleasant as was the gal on the phone when I made my reservations. The park is very wooded and quiet. The "pads" are gravel and could use refreshing! We stayed in #16 and needed an extra long sewer hose to reach. We saw a couple other rigs set up the same way. We enjoyed our stay here. - Gma Linda
Jan 2019 - $24.00
This is a nice, quiet, park on the outskirts of a small town. The lack of restroom and shower facilities is partially mitigated by full hookups, but not when it is pouring rain as you set up and break camp. I'm sure that the trail through the woods around the park is nice, but it is largely under water at the moment. While we were told that the park does not flood, the same cannot be said about the access road. The area is an interesting one, the people we met friendly, and it merits a return visit in better weather. - John McHugh
Dec 2017 - $24.00
City owned park just outside of town. Very quiet. Good utilities. Camp host helpful and available. My one negative is the place is lit up like a mall parking lot at night. - jnateg
Dec 2013 - $15.00
We pulled in this afternoon to find the office locked with no notes on how to contact the owner nor what to do if they weren't there. We couldn't tell where they put RVs as it looked to be pretty full already with most of the park single wide long term owners. Someone drove by and said they'd go get the owner and 15 minutes later they came back and said the owner had been notified they had a customer and would be over shortly. We hung around for another 20 minutes, walked through the park and decided to leave. I give them a zero for not being foresighted enough to have provided contact information or at the very least, instructions on where to park if no one was around. We were tired, hungry and wanted to get settled in for the night, not waiting around for hours. We won't be back. - User3326
Nov 2010 - $9.00
We used Passport America discount. Older park, needed grass cut, small sites, friendly people, new bathrooms, showers and laundry. Nice pub within walking distance.(Culpeppers). Would really question ability to handle large rigs. OK for short stays. PA site says fire rings, none seen. - retiredgeezer
Mar 2019 - $25.00
We came to Betty's for fun and fellowship and were not disappointed! She recommended great places to eat and visit. Happy hour was a time to meet other campers and share refreshments. Hopefully will come back another time! To sum it up, The hostess is a hoot!
Sites are on gravel and level. Park is ushaped around and easy in and out. There aren't picnic tables or fire rings. Everyone gathered on the patio. Used WiFi on the patio which is close for everyone to use. - Loose moose 19-57
Feb 2019 - $22.00
Rate based on weekly rate. U-shaped gravel park all back-in except for a couple of 30amp sites adjacent to clubhouse. Wifi in clubhouse, most sites are satellite friendly. There is nothing to really sell this park except the host herself, and she's a huge selling point. When you stay here you are staying w/ family. She is the most gracious hostess. Daily happy hour get togethers, hosted events, pot luck dinners. We enjoyed a fabulous hosted Jambalaya night and big pot luck Super Bowl party. This was our first stay and we will return if the area again. Many guests return every year. - lovinretirement
Dec 2018 - $25.00
We chose this "RV Park" based on the proximity to the Tobasco Factory and the reviews of others. I DO NOT know why this is rated and 8 plus. It's not an RV park, it's a gravel lot on a noisy street. The water hook up was rusty. There was no privacy. We planned on staying two nights but left early after the first. The owner was kind enough but I would not recommend this place. Matter of fact, after this stay I am reluctant to trust this site as my choice of trip planning. - Adams13
