Convenient overnight stop on I-10, but you have to be willing to put up with highway noise. Tightly-packed, paved spaces with full hookups. This is the definition of a convenience stop rather than a destination park, but it's well-executed. Very good security. I've stayed here many times because of its location. Price is high, but you pay for convenience, and that's what the rating reflects. - telecommuting camper

We have stayed at this park several times for long term and we love this park. slots are concrete paved roads. The only complaint is that they charge for the showers. We will always return to this park. - waynenichols
Jun 2017 - $50.00
Not positive on nightly rate. We needed a month maybe 2 stay. Most parks in the Lake Charles area are full, and only a couple we would consider staying at because they are very subpar. Cypress Bend is very nicely kept and they checked us in and helped us find a great pull thru site. Lots are very close, ranging from sunny and open, to some shade. Site surface is a concrete pad and features a picnic table and patio. If you need an overnight stop or monthly, this is a great choice. - Land Yacht Ahoy

Nice park just off I-10 east of Lake Charles, LA. Level, paved sites, good spacing, well lit, clean rest rooms and laundry room, great staff. New park, just opened January 2018. - Rae & Mark

Located on the Calcasieu River on River Road about four miles north of I-10 in the northeastern quadrant of Lake Charles. Small park (only 6 spaces), so reservations recommended. It was rainy during our visit, and being Louisiana, the lawn areas flooded quickly. The concrete pull through pads were higher than the lawns, however, so site flooding was not a problem. Getting to the electric and water hookups required a large leg span or a wade. Air conditioner at rec hall was loud and could be heard in camper. Dump station opening was HUGE, and my dump station hose connect fell off... and into the sewer. Yikes! Verizon service 3 bar and LTE. OTA TV strong. Surrounded by high pines, cypress, etc. and the boat ramp area is simply beautiful alongside the river. If you are into fishing, or just need an overnight stop, this is a safe and friendly place to go. Just be sure to make reservations and avoid driving out only to find a filled campground. Bring a fishing rod. Great place for a small family reunion. Clean, safe. Likely relaxing place if a bit dryer (we were there in rainy weather). - The Happy Traveler

This is not on our list of "will visit again" for sure. There were some pros. Full hookup, laundromat, convenience store. The cons were the fact that the place was filthy. The laundromat was so bad I wouldn't even go inside, and I didn't even BOTHER checking out the bathrooms. The employees inside the on-site store were also filthy: dirty clothes, dirty hands, etc. YUCK! This place made a very poor impression, and I'd have to say it was the nastiest park we've ever been to! - heavenslilgift

If you enjoy dirty bathrooms with standing water, a hot laundry room, and muddy or dusty roads, depending on the weather; and you want to feel abused by the rates they charge, then this is your place! The office is like a half mile from any of the spots, and the only place to empty your trash is all the way beyond the office.
The only positive I can say is you are saving some money from the overpriced casino hotels. For the amount of money they get for these sites, they should put in nice gravel or concrete sites. Also, upgraded bathrooms are most needed. - ber7656
Feb 2016 - $45.00
This park has the potential to be a real live resort but we felt it wasn't worth $45.00 per night. They don't even have cable TV. It had rained for several hours and the gravel/sand interior roads were a mess. The gravel/sand is like cement when it dries. Our campsite was flooded. It might be ok if it hasn't rained although Then it's probably really dusty. Lots of permanent people living there with stuff everywhere. Looks junky. Also there were cats running all over the park. I wouldn't stay here again unless the roads were paved. According to the information the monthly rate was only $450. Appears that short term visitors are footing the bill for the residents. - Debbie Lown
May 2015 - $38.00
Was very disappointed in this camp. Lots of workers living here which is fine but we felt they should have their own area instead of being mixed randomly with travelers. Bathrooms were a long hike from our site. - Coastwatch

Very pleasant staff. Grass and weeds need to be cleared away from the access pipe to sewage. Dog park is quite large, grassy and pleasant, with performance ramps, etc for the more ambitious. WiFi is available but very slow and connection is often lost. Staff person was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Dumpter lid needs to be kep closed, since otherwise trash and garbage are floating in rainwater. - Samuel J
May 2017 - $45.00
My husband and I stayed at Twelve Oaks RV Park for about 1 year. The rent was $670.00 which included taxes and wifi and Cable plus all the regular stuff like electic, water, sewer. They have the friendliest people working there and living there. The sites have concrete pads and every site had 30 amp and 50 amp available. Also they have a large dog park. I would stay there again. - Nana05

Very nice lady in the office. She was helpful and friendly. The laundry was ok. There was several washers and dryers and for the most part it was clean. The slabs to park on could use some work but we were able to get level. We loved the cute little bench and light in the yard. - Tjai Forster

This was a Passport America site and the amenities were what sold us on it, but it didn't turn out as great as we hoped. We had notified the office of our late arrival, so we were given our site#. (The traffic on I-10 from Beaumont is terrible right now due to construction). We arrived just after dark. It was a pull-thru site, so we got set up pretty quickly. It had FHU and was level. The next morning we went to the office to register. The woman was very nice. There is a laundry room attached to the office with a few washers/dryers. There is also a change machine. There is WiFI and our Verizon signal was about 2 bars of 4G. There is a small building with a single shower room for men and one for women. It was fairly clean, but I opted to shower in our own rig. There is a small fishing pond, but we were told it only has perch. No picnic tables or fire rings. The sites are pretty close. There are trains that run nearby. It seems that a lot of people live here. It wasn't a terrible place, but we would probably stay elsewhere if in the area again. - nomadicfamilylife

Pot holes, mud, and Dog POOP. Doesn't anyone pick up after their dog? Stayed here a few years ago and this place is headed down the Dumper literally ! Sewer top ring was busted, couldn't screw our connector on, had to weight it down. Power was reading from 114-118. - magic
Oct 2018 - $22.00
Decided to try this headed west on I-10. This is clearly not a destination park. sites were tight and almost all appeared to be permanent residents and workers living out of RV's. No one in office and just had us fill out an envelope with cash for Passport America (never saw a real person). They charged $22 although PPA site said $20. 10 miles off I-10. Site was level, water pressure ok and voltage was 116-118 volts. Appeared to be a decent laundry although we didn't use. Free wifi was ok but had to reconnect a few times. Vzw cell was 2-3 bars lte. Dirt road was bumpy and site was muddy after recent rains. Would not go 20 miles out of my way to return here again. - HomeOnWheels_US

Avoid the Isle of Capri as an RV park. Only 8 sites behind the hotel as if they were an afterthought. Not even a dump station. That's how you will feel if you stay here - like an afterthought. Property is located under I-10 bridge in an industrial area. Casino is adequate but buffet is overpriced and 50/50 on food quality. The place has no soul. - RVondaGO
Dec 2016 - $20.00
We stopped here on our way from Texas to South Carolina. They have maybe 10 spots with electricity. No water or sewage and you are not supposed to put your slides out. Easy access to casino and restaurants. It's right under the bridge and railroad tracks so it was noisy, but worked for what we needed. Security was highly visible and we felt safe there. - KPryor
Nov 2013 - $1.00
We didn't actually hook up to one of their RV sites, but rather dry camped (permitted by the Casino) in the rear parking lot. Staff were gracious and you can't beat the price! We enjoyed a great meal in the Casino restaurant - 3 courses for under $20! The only negative was the noise from the trains close by - tooted their horns as they approached the bridge all through the night! - Linsay

Where to begin. I have camped here for three months. What was once thought to be a good place has turned out to be the opposite. There is a self proclaimed park ranger who is a sneaky as a crook. We were told of a washing facility that was supposedly able to use was broke. Come to find out it was a lie they are using it for their benefit and telling us differently. There are showers here that nobody can use or access. The owner upped the monthly rent 100 buck and charges 13 percent tax. The electric has went out on use three separate occasion and could not get anyone to see about it. First time I tracked it to the pole on the property and fixed it myself. Second time the same issue. Third time the self proclaimed park ranger accused another tenant of blowing the fuses hooking up a dryer I never seen moved. There are two gentlemen who think they have control over everything here. The staff is rude and the owner ghoul or whomever you spell his name is an asshole when approach with any complaint or need. There is no lighting in the slip at night for the boat launch. Every wed there is a bass tournament and people everywhere encroaching on you parking. I have seen the yardman twice. he has no regard for personal property. Another instance my neighbor got his power unplugged in the middle of the night with a lock on his box with no warning. I take he was out of town working which the power stayed on but when he didn't pay his lot rent immediately upon his return. I witnessed this personally. They locked him out which was less than one day upon return. I moved his camper two day later because he had to return to work. It destroyed his refrigerator and the smell I can't get rid of it. All in all I would stay clear of Parkside Marina Resort. I believe the electrical has messed something up with my camper. I have made friends with 4 people staying here and their complaints are as valid as mine. - madstormenterprisellc
