Overall Rating:

This was a Passport America site and the amenities were what sold us on it, but it didn't turn out as great as we hoped. We had notified the office of our late arrival, so we were given our site#. (The traffic on I-10 from Beaumont is terrible right now due to construction). We arrived just after dark. It was a pull-thru site, so we got set up pretty quickly. It had FHU and was level. The next morning we went to the office to register. The woman was very nice. There is a laundry room attached to the office with a few washers/dryers. There is also a change machine. There is WiFI and our Verizon signal was about 2 bars of 4G. There is a small building with a single shower room for men and one for women. It was fairly clean, but I opted to shower in our own rig. There is a small fishing pond, but we were told it only has perch. No picnic tables or fire rings. The sites are pretty close. There are trains that run nearby. It seems that a lot of people live here. It wasn't a terrible place, but we would probably stay elsewhere if in the area again. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pot holes, mud, and Dog POOP. Doesn't anyone pick up after their dog? Stayed here a few years ago and this place is headed down the Dumper literally ! Sewer top ring was busted, couldn't screw our connector on, had to weight it down. Power was reading from 114-118. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Decided to try this headed west on I-10. This is clearly not a destination park. sites were tight and almost all appeared to be permanent residents and workers living out of RV's. No one in office and just had us fill out an envelope with cash for Passport America (never saw a real person). They charged $22 although PPA site said $20. 10 miles off I-10. Site was level, water pressure ok and voltage was 116-118 volts. Appeared to be a decent laundry although we didn't use. Free wifi was ok but had to reconnect a few times. Vzw cell was 2-3 bars lte. Dirt road was bumpy and site was muddy after recent rains. Would not go 20 miles out of my way to return here again. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here overnight. No one working (Sat.), had to call number on window and was told where to put camper and put money thru the door slot. Bathrooms were absolutely terrible (no toilet paper in either, lights not working or burned out, not clean). We were the only overnight people. Never stayed in a worse campground. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

I will tell the bad stuff first - dog poop everywhere (no one picks up after there dogs)!!! Everyone lets dogs run. Dogs barking all day! Lots of people living there and several bad looking campers. For a one night stand I guess it is ok for the money. Next time we will just travel up the road to the Casino for same cost (Casino doesn't charge tax). We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for 8 months. Owners very nice, helpful. Constantly working to improve park. This is a little gem off the beaten path but close to everything. We paid monthly $325.00, full hookup, no cable, we used antenna and satellite dish. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice older campground with few amenities. Single restroom/ shower combo, 1 men's, 1 women's. Lots of long term residents, but everyone seemed friendly enough. Some road and train noise, but not enough to be a bother. Interior roads have some gravel, could use a little more. Easy access to Hwy 165. Good spot for overnight, or a few days to see the sights in the area. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gravel roads, grass sites with some gravel (it rained and I didn't get stuck). About 1/2 full with what looks like migrant workers with a few permanent or long term residents. Easy on/off LA165 about 10 miles north of I-10 and 13 miles from the Coushatta Casino. No problems with electric or water but the WiFi was slow and in & out at times. No cable and over air is real weak. When it rains, no TV. I camped here in a 36' Fifth Wheel. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The website and the office staff really paint a different picture than the reality. Most of the sites on are on grass - not even shell or rock - so during our stay it was very muddy. The Wi-Fi was not stable and kicked us off almost every 1 - 3 minutes. The bathrooms are not heated. We specifically wanted to fish in the pond - it is very small.

No picnic tables or grills. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Truck Camper.

The office wasn't open when we arrived but a quick phone call and someone arrived. We had a grass site that was level. The mosquitoes were bad in the evening but we did hear the fogger driving around about 11:00 pm. Since we were only one night I don't know if the mosquitoes were better after they fogged. It seemed that most of the people staying long-term were around the perimeter and the short-term were in the middle section. This gave more of a camping feel to the park. The bathrooms seemed clean though we didn't use them. The park is a good distance off of I-10. There were some smaller stores within a few miles for basic items. Our $16 rate was for Passport America. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

When we arrived on Sat afternoon early, no one in the office. We had problems with the electricity to site 71 (72 & 73 also). There was no breaker at power point. We figured out what appeared to be an old mobile home power pedestal had breakers which controlled several other power outlets. We later discovered that the power was not grounded. Since we were setup, we didn't move. There was no one to complain to since it was Easter weekend. We did complain on Monday, but attitude was that things were beyond owners control regarding the electricity. Tuesday morning at 3 am a four hour thunderstorm hit. The sites didn't drain about 2-3 inches of standing water. We took dogs for a walk and our blind female dog started yelling and crying, went into convulsion and her legs were all contracted. My wife handed her up the steps to me and we all got shocked. We were very unhappy and the attitude was that they can't do anything until they know about it. There is such a thing a preventative maintenance. You risk your life staying here! We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is Passport America. Tax makes nightly rare $13.50. Older park but well kept. Older buildings, each have that closed musty odor. Sites are long, but some side by side hookups so rigs may be parked close to each other although park wasn't full so no problem. No amenities but a nice quiet place for a few nights stay and we would return if in area. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I wasn't impressed. We had a reservation. Office was closed with note on window with envelope for payment. Restrooms were OK, but toilet paper was scarce. The WiFi didn't work even though I was just down from the office and I had two bars with Verizon. It wasn't bad but previous reviews had me thinking I was in store for some great landscaping, which was not the case. There was no landscaping. I would stay there again if I were driving by, but I wouldn't waste the fuel to deliberately go there. We camped at Quiet Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.
