9 RV Parks near Lake Arthur, Louisiana
Aug 2019 - $35.00
This small family-owned campground situated between Lake Arthur and Grand Lake, in the heart of Cajun country, is a beautiful place to get away from it all, while still being within an hour’s drive to many of South Louisiana ‘s attractions. It is a mom and pop campground run by friendly, accommodating hosts. The river that runs between the two lakes is just a few feet from all full-hookup campsites, and is perfect for kayaking or doing a little fishing. Large pecan and oak trees, which are plentiful throughout the property, provide a cooling canopy to the humid LA summers. Most trees are trimmed high enough to allow for parking nearby. The sites are grass, or dirt, but fairly level. Water, sewer, and 30/50 amp. connections are provided. The fully stocked camp store has just about anything you need, reducing the need to make the seven mile trek into the small town of Lake Arthur. There is no pool, however, there is plenty of room for the kids to ride their bikes and explorer. - DSLACamper
Sep 2018 - $35.00
Nice clean little park on the lake. Nothing fancy, has a boat dock, sites are grassy but level and long. You could park trailer, vehicle and a boat no problem. Site 7 is right next to the Camp Store and the WiFi was amazing fast. Store carried a bit of everything. This park is a bit out of the way but was convenient for us on our trek home. Would come here again if we were on this route! - Gloria S.
May 2016 - $35.00
We stayed the weekend during the Regatta, had long time reservations & were given an excellent location. Brother-in-law was beside us in a 43' Motorhome.
Staff were very helpful, the store carries tobacco products, ice & other amenities making it convenient.
It was a grass pad, campers were close & we brought a boat. - JSRFrench
Apr 2011 - $25.00
This is a small RV Park & Marina just south of the town of Lake Arthur on the Mermentau River. River sites are available. No restrooms. No Wi-Fi. Verizon cell phone does not work here or in town but AT&T does. Marina available for almost any size boat even up to 100'. $25 day/$125 week/$225 + elect month. Marina $3 foot + electric month. - Capn Kenny and Nancy Sallee
Aug 2013 - $50.00
They are too strict; they will lock the bathroom for 4 days if you accidentally leave it open once. Wi-Fi doesn't work very well. They need more washers and dryers. The people that live here are very nosy and stare at you like your crazy. The manager does not bleach the bathroom shower and there is only one for 20+ people. And the toilet looks horrible and the seat is broke, there is never soap to wash your hands or paper towels. There is never toilet paper. Its just somewhere I would not recommend or stay here ever again. - mrs.to.be.
May 2013 - $20.00
Clean, friendly, easy access to park and town is right off IH10. The highway traffic was not an issue, when you sit outside you can see it but you don't hear it. Would camp here again! - cuz
Feb 2010 - $20.00
The previous review was obviously written by owner or close friends. This park is clean, has full hook-ups, no cable, no Wi-Fi, and is a former FEMA camp from Katrina. Half dozen FEMA mobiles and same number of RVs,mostly guys working in Jennings area. It is right along the I-10 and there is LOTS of truck noise 24/7. No washroom or other facilities. No owner/manager on site. You call a number and he tells you where to park. Lots of rain made the field a bog, so he told us to park on a cement pad. No turnaround room at end of road and no pull-throughs. Jennings is a poor Lousiana town, has a Wal-Mart and a small grocery store, couple of restaurants and that's it. There is a better looking park about 20 miles east. We didn't feel unsafe, but not really safe either. - CanCat
Aug 2019 - $45.00
A real hidden gem of an RV Park. Relatively new (or being rebuilt) and well maintained. It's close to the interstate but about a mile off the road so watch for the signs. The water park is absolutely beautiful and laid out for all ages. The park is well maintained. Owner/staff is so very helpful and concerned about making your stay great. The park seems to still be in development. Some sites have some slope/ leveling issues some are just fine. Traveling I-10 you won't want to miss this park. Great value. - americanrascal
May 2019 - $45.00
This park has only been open a year, but they are doing everything right. Owners live on site and are extremely helpful and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again! Perfect 1st night stop after leaving San Antonio. - eventer48
Mar 2019 - $20.00
$20 Best bang for the buck for an overnight. Older park off I-10 between NO and Texas. Hard to get hold of someone here as they don't answer phones and aren't in the office but very friendly and accommodating when you can track someone down to check-in. Mostly permanents here and some aren't in the best of shape. Gravel roads and pads with grass in between. Wifi worked pretty good. Biggest negative was water which was murky and had an oily sheen. Make sure you've got bottled/tank water for drinking. Looked like they had a bathhouse but didn't explore as only there for the night. Pull-thru site long enough to stay attached. All in all a perfectly ok spot to spend the night. - Todd Hancock
Apr 2018 - $20.00
Very fast check in. Very helpful, friendly staff. Level pull through site. Nothing fancy but had all we needed. Even a pond for my dog to play in. - Bruvtravels
Mar 2018 - $20.00
We were first escorted to a site that was wet with smelly water. We asked for a different site - and it was fine. This campground needs quite a bit of TLC. Many of the trailers are quite run down. It's fine to get off the highway, but that's about it. - CJVJn1Doug
May 2019 - $45.00
Very Convenient to I-10. Wide open CG and no "Oaks". Address does not show up on GPS so follow website directions. Very weak unsecured wifi. Clean with cement pad. Excellent OTA TV. BEWARE of major drainage depression on exit road. We hit this unmarked depressions going very slow and didn't see it until we hot it and the bump was violent. Great for overnight. Staff need to mark this depression for safety of campers. - Nh rvers
Mar 2019 - $51.00
Park was pretty basic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Could not get WiFi to work at park for some reason. Nice laundry room facility. Great for overnight stay while traveling. - Greg and Brenda
Nov 2018 - $45.00
Nice park just off I-10 east of Lake Charles, LA. Level, paved sites, good spacing, well lit, clean rest rooms and laundry room, great staff. New park, just opened January 2018. - Rae & Mark
Aug 2019 - $40.00
This is a very secure and extremely clean little park with nice long concrete pull through sites. There are a lot of rules that are enforced here which keep this park in such good order. The folks that run it also work at the Shell station so, if no one is in th office, just phone and they come right over. When coming from E. I-10, turn in to the Ist drive of the Shell station and you will see arrow directing you sraiaght around the right side to a gate. You will need to pay a $20 refundable deposit for a gate card to come and go if that is in your plans. We will stay here again. Such an easy stop. - blumarlin
Apr 2018 - $41.00
Convenient overnight stop on I-10, but you have to be willing to put up with highway noise. Tightly-packed, paved spaces with full hookups. This is the definition of a convenience stop rather than a destination park, but it's well-executed. Very good security. I've stayed here many times because of its location. Price is high, but you pay for convenience, and that's what the rating reflects. - telecommuting camper
Aug 2017 - $40.00
We have stayed at this park several times for long term and we love this park. slots are concrete paved roads. The only complaint is that they charge for the showers. We will always return to this park. - waynenichols
May 2019 - $23.00
We paid $23 for W/E50/S/I with Passport America discount ($46 without). We had planned on staying in a truck stop or Walmart. However it was very hot and humid, needed air conditioning and didn't want to run the generator all night. We found this campground for one night and it met exactly what we needed. Only about 10 miles off I-10, level gravel site and by far the best internet speed of any campground we've stayed (perhaps aided since we were near the office). The lady at the front desk was very nice and allowed us to check in about 10 AM which gave us time to then drive the Creole Trail the same day. So for what we needed, it was perfect! - Teddi2
Feb 2019 - $20.00
This was a Passport America site and the amenities were what sold us on it, but it didn't turn out as great as we hoped. We had notified the office of our late arrival, so we were given our site#. (The traffic on I-10 from Beaumont is terrible right now due to construction). We arrived just after dark. It was a pull-thru site, so we got set up pretty quickly. It had FHU and was level. The next morning we went to the office to register. The woman was very nice. There is a laundry room attached to the office with a few washers/dryers. There is also a change machine. There is WiFI and our Verizon signal was about 2 bars of 4G. There is a small building with a single shower room for men and one for women. It was fairly clean, but I opted to shower in our own rig. There is a small fishing pond, but we were told it only has perch. No picnic tables or fire rings. The sites are pretty close. There are trains that run nearby. It seems that a lot of people live here. It wasn't a terrible place, but we would probably stay elsewhere if in the area again. - nomadicfamilylife
Oct 2018 - $22.00
Pot holes, mud, and Dog POOP. Doesn't anyone pick up after their dog? Stayed here a few years ago and this place is headed down the Dumper literally ! Sewer top ring was busted, couldn't screw our connector on, had to weight it down. Power was reading from 114-118. - magic
