This is a decent CG with many monthly & permanents, Very clean park. Good AT&T Cell & 2 bars of LTE data, Good Dish Sat & 8 OTA channels. Friendly Staff. Sams Club is 1 mile away. I would return. - Lugnuts
Nov 2018 - $31.00
Very muddy since it had been raining a lot. We had to find a fairly dry spot to spend the night. Good wifi and all hookups worked. Suggest bringing in gravel to keep the sites drier. - arkietraveler

As others have written, this is a good park: clean, well-managed and maintained. For the most part, it is quiet (hidden by the trees, there is a shooting range nearby and that can be disconcerting at this time in America). The office folks are organized, cheerful and helpful. Two trees, each near the first turns of the entrance and exit, need small, lowest limbs taken off (their leaves brushed our air-conditioner), otherwise, I'd have rated the park a "10". The only tricky part has nothing to do with park management: it is getting to the actual access road on that side of I-20 and not turning too soon and getting forced back onto I-20. Only Exit 120 will work (because there is a bridge out on the access road before the next exit.) The access road, called "Frontage Road", is the next road AFTER the onramp that will force you to get back onto east bound I-20. Go past the first ramp - to the stop light - and then turn left at the light. (The frontage road/access road runs in front of the Hampton Inn hotel.) Nice campground; we will stay there again. - Mom_of_Two

This campground is about five miles north of Interstate 20 in a residential area of West Monroe. We used it as a base for visiting friends in Monroe, which necessitated considerable driving. This is primarily a working-persons campground with mostly long-term residents. It seems as if they keep three sites open for transients. If you elect to stay, you will want to call ahead as if you just pull into the campground there is no office. There is a manager on site, but he is located far in the back without any indication that he is the manager. We called ahead to make reservations; we were instructed to call back about an hour before arrival, then again after we had arrived. This produced the manager for check-in. This is your very basic campground - nothing fancy. We did not use the restrooms, so cannot comment there. We had planned to use the laundry, but you had to call the owner to come down so that you could pay him and unlock the doors. We chose to do laundry in town. Everyone we encountered was pleasant, but our neighbor started his truck at four in the morning and let it idle for an hour before departure. No WiFi. Our Verizon voice and data were strong and we were able to get the satellite for DirecTV. This campground served our purposes, but we would work to find a different campground if visiting the area. - TheJim

First let me say we came in late on the Memorial Day Weekend. We had tried calling several times earlier in the day and left messages with phone number, but no response. When we arrived, the office was closed (I assume they like to have a holiday also) with some cell phone numbers. We called these and were assigned a site and were told we could settle-up the next morning - which we did over the phone. We had a toad, and needed a pull-through site. The site was a little short and not level, but since it was late and we were only staying one night we accepted the site and set up. There was a cable connection but it did not work. Also, there apparently is a nearby kennel and occasionally the dogs barked, but it was not an annoyance. Overall, the park is clean and quiet. The bottom line is that we would stay again if passing through Monroe. - John Rodgers
May 2019 - $28.00
Park is very level with mix of pull-thru and back-in sites. Roads are reasonably wide and mostly dirt - did not see mud/rutting. Sites are dirt/gravel. Our site - 24 - was a FHU pull-thru. Electric panel had 30a taped over so had to use a 50a adaptor - not great. We did not use bath/shower/laundry.
Kennel or other facility next door noisy - did not hear inside with a/c running.
OK for overnight along I-20. - P&R Miami

As mentioned it is next to a dog facility, but did not hear much where we were parked. They do tell you not to feed the alligators. Yikes! - HB Taxlady
Apr 2018 - $34.00
We were looking for an inexpensive one night stop on our way through the area. It turns out that the commissioners raised their rates beginning this season to $34 a night. I think the campground is seriously overpriced at this rate. Lot number nine was far from level, the concrete pad was full of winters debris and the grill was broken off the pedestal. The park was nice and quiet and there was adequate room between slots. The road to the campground was extremely rough and full of potholes and patches be very careful. We would probably not stay here again. - Wndopdlr1

Nice City Park. Gravel pad. Picnic table, fire ring, grill on each site on cement pad. Restrooms and shower is across the street. Large city park. Many shelters to rent and a rent-able party room if you were to have a large event. Boat ramp available. Our rate is senior discount. - krisbw

We camped here in a 30-ft motorhome, no pull behind. We think this used to be a very nice campground, but it is suffering from old-age and neglect. The drainage, former side-walks and cabins were crumbling or neglected. The best part was the arrival. Check-in was quick and friendly. The interior roads and pads are sparse gravel. The rodas would be tough in a rig larger than ours. The sites are level, but are mostly weeds and fire-ant beds. We got to pick our site as we were the only overnighters there. The utilities worked just fine, cable was no longer offered, but over-the-air channels came in just fine. There was no camp store, but a great ice machine with the honor system for paying was across from the office. The CG itself was clean, but we were very disappointed in the smelly and moldy bathhouse. Given the CG is 99% long-term, not much attention is given to this amenity. About 9pm, a factory of some sort across the street, maybe 200 yards, cranked up equipment that had a low-base thrum that permeated the walls of the motorhome. Sounded like a diesel engine running right outside. We hope the owners can get the facilities back to the original state soon. - DHK
Dec 2017 - $25.00
We spent two nights at Bayou Boeuf RV Park in our 40' fifth wheel. The campground has about 50 spaces but, being mid-week in December, it was only about 25% full. The owners were very friendly and gave us our choice of sites. The site was gravel and plenty long and wide enough to enable us to park our rig, our tow vehicle and a car. The hookups were good and conveniently located. The campground is next to a fairly busy highway so there was some highway noise. We didn't use any of the amenities so can't comment on them. The city of Monroe is about 6 miles away but there are groceries and fuel within 3 miles. This is clearly not a fancy campground but it worked great for a short stay and the price was right. We would return if in the area. - Phil G
Jul 2016 - $23.00
We arrived in November 2015 and stayed until mid July. There aren't many extras but the park is kept clean and the service is excellent. Washer and dryers on premise, lots of shade trees and if your lucky enough to acquire the fenced in area it's worth the little extra (3 kids and 2 dogs). The owners live on site and are great people. Kid and pet friendly. - Ksims
Nov 2016 - $25.00
Stayed overnight dusty and noisy, trash laying around, dogs running loose, have to check in at travel center. Only stop if you are tired and need a place for the night. - gafidler
