Nice campground convenient to 1-10. Roads and pads are level concrete. The site pads are angled for better access and are extra wide. The pull through sites are extra long but only a 10 ft strip of grass between sites and no picnic table. The campground borders a pretty lake on 3 sides. There is a paved path along the lake and a pool. The roads are wide but you have an overall feel that the campground is laid out very cramped. They only allow 2 devices for WiFi but it was adequate for internet and Facebook. They escort you to site and pick up your trash. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overnight stop in our 43' motorhome. Easy on/off from I-12. Efficient check-in. Interior roads are wide concrete. Big rig friendly. Escort to site 78 FHU, PT level concrete pad. Nice grass alongside site. Walk your dog alongside lake. Doggie bags provided. Good ATT signal and OTA channels. No Cable. All utilities work well. Daytime garbage onsite pickup. Did not use WiFi, Pool or any amenities. Good overnight stop but a little pricey. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This RV Park has an urban feel about it. It is located alongside a somewhat busy road not far from I-12 east of Baton Rouge. The interior roads, campsite parking pads and patios are all concrete. What is not concrete is mowed grass. The sites are close together and arranged around three sides of a large square shaped lake. The sites along the lake have a nice big grassy "backyard" leading to the lakeshore. Half or more of the sites are occupied by what appears to be long term guest. We first visited here in 2011 and the place had a new look about it then. 8 years later and it still looks very good. It is clean, neat and well maintained. I estimate it was 90% full the weekend we were there. There was no problem with WiFi signal strength, reliability or speed at site 123. Verizon worked well with 3/4 bars. We found off air TV channels best received from Baton Rouge instead of New Orleans. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with previous reviews. The office staff is very nice and they escort you to your site, helping guide you in place if you need it. Roads are nicely paved, a little narrow to navigate but we managed. The site itself is concrete; except! that the perimeter doesn't have established grass and seems to stay muddy all the time which makes walking around a bit of a mess. We aren't much above sea level in this area of Louisiana so that could explain the bog. More concrete would be nice. There's a picnic table and fire pit. Our site backed up to the lake (higher rate for this) which was lovely. There is road noise (loud motorcycles, etc) coming from the busy road just outside the park. Hook ups were ok but the water faucet is very close to the ground which makes it a bit awkward using your water filter at that junction. There's plenty of fishing available in the lake if you like that. There's also a game room, pool, walking path around the lake, and a dog park. WiFi is free; except! they give you 2 passwords and can only be used on one device each. It's a nuisance to have to sign in the way they have it set up. It kept dropping off on my phone so I gave up and just used my cellular data. Site was big enough to hold our trailer (and even big rigs that I saw) however, our truck, when backing in still hooked up would block the road (making it impossible for other rigs or vehicles to pass until you got done leveling, etc. before you unhook). We could have set out trailer back further but the steps from our trailer door would have been in the muddy bog! The site was extra wide and once unhooked, we could park our truck alongside the trailer. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The park is close to I-12, with easy access to the highway. The park is clean and well maintained. The interior roads are paved and the sites are concrete. There was a lot of rain there the past few days, so the ground was soggy, with standing water by the sewer connection. Satellite and OTA TV worked well, as did our AT&T cell phones. They use Tengonet for their wi-fi, which worked very well. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park workers are very nice and reservations were easy. The park has great walking area, great dog walks and is well maintained. This is one of our very favorite parks. Even though there are a lot of full time campers the sites are neat and well maintained. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

30 miles from Baton Rouge - would recommend touring both the old and new state capital buildings. Lots to see here. We stayed 3 nights

Very accommodating since we had to change our reservation. Check in was fast and efficient. We were escorted to the pull through site which was helpful. The lake and path around it was super nice as was the periodic dog waste bins. It was cold and rainy so didn’t see much else as this was an overnight stay. Like that they pick up your trash. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were traveling West on I-12 is how we found this location. The interior roads and concrete sites were quite a bit nicer than we have seen anywhere else. Water pressure and WiFi were good - no cable. We would definitely stop here again when traveling I-12. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

The entire campground was super clean and very quiet. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The lake made the surroundings look and feel like a state park. The RV park is close to the interstate, but far enough away not to hear road noise. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

So close to Baton Rouge, but far enough to get away from the traffic. Denham Springs, Louisiana is just West of the RV park and full of restaurants.

Just an overnight for us. Convenient to hwy, occasional noise from nearby rd. Wide concrete roads, pads & patios w/ great utility pedestals. Sites are about 5-6' apart, but grass between sites and in park is healthy and trimmed, park is clean, well cared for. There is sparse shade except from the perimeter trees. There are many amenities including a lounge, covered pavilions and a sidewalk that runs around 2/3 of the lake. Staff was friendly and provided escort to the site that helped us back in. VzW is 4G with good coverage. WiFi very good. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night heading west. Very well-maintained park. Appeared to have quite a few long term residents. Long, concrete pull-through with FHU (water, 50 amp and sewer). Sites were level and long enough to stay hooked up with our 34' fifth wheel. Sites were a bit close but ok. No problem with noise. Did not use wifi. Rest room and laundry facilities were very clean but had no hot water in washing machines that day. Will stay again if passing through Baton Rouge. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
