If you are visiting New Orleans (particularly the French Quarter area) this is an excellent location. However, becasue of its location, it is very pricey. Just understand, as with beach resorts - location, location, location. The park is, in theory, in walking distance from the Quarter, but we used Uber to get around. The park borders a "dicey" area of the city and the homeless are everywhere, but the park has excellent security. It has weak WiFi and good cable. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Manicured to a tee! This RV park surprised us, especially being right near I-10 and the French Quarter. We pulled up to a gated park, were immediately greeted and escorted in. The park is paved, cobble stone pads, gazebos, extremely clean with private showers, laundry and pool/hot tub. The park was a short 10 min walk to Bourbon Street - super convenient and located behind the visitors center and police station. The office staff was very professional and helpful with maps and guidance of where to visit. We felt very safe despite the park having razor wire (very professional looking) on top of the high block walls surrounding it. All amenities were well maintained. We stayed 2 nights and camped in a 33' motorhome. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here during the French Quarter Fest which reflects the high cost per night. I had reserved my spot a year out to do so. This resort is about a quarter mile from the quarter, about a 15-minute walk to Bourbon street. The sites are very spacious, no trees so satellite works, wifi is ok. I have stayed here before and will stay here again. Go for the food, the sights, the music, the parades, the Quarter! We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great place. Easy to navigate and very clean. Very popular. Only site available to us was a premium lot which had a screened-in gazebo. Sites are level and paver stones. So convenient to action in The Quarter. Great pool and courtyard. We were in site 36 which is far from overhead highway so noise was minimal. They have created a really nice place in a great location. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $105.00
Overall Rating:

This is all about Location, nothing else. The campground is basically a walled-off parking lot with pavers for RV pads and a little bit of grass separating the sites. Walking distance to the French Quarter through a relatively safe parking lot and past a police station. But, the Route 10 highway is pretty much right above the park, and it is quite noisy. The nearby businesses start their construction work at 7am, so expect early mornings after a late evening. Verizon coverage excellent. Did not try wifi. All spots are noisy, but some are noisier than others. I would stay far away from the highway on the greenway side (e.g. stay in spot 1,2,3 or 38,40,42 across from them). Staff is friendly and they accept mail. There is a small pool and hot tub (broken during our visit) in the courtyard, along with a very basic exercise room. Again, this is all about location. There are two very small 'dog walking patches' in the park. Fido did not mind. The campground is adjacent to the Lafitte greenway bicycle/jogging path, which is convenient and takes you out to City Park. Location, location, location. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: January, 2019 - $105.00
Overall Rating:

We recently stayed 3 nights here at $105/night for a 35' motorhome. We were dissatisfied with our stay for the following reasons: 1. We were traveling with friends in another motorhome and requested that we have sites near each other. We were told that sites were not assigned in advance, assuming that we would have a chance to select nearby sites when we arrived. When we got there, we found that both our sites had been pre-assigned and were not close together. There were many vacant sites. We asked again if we could get sites close together and were told that sites had been assigned and could not be changed. Unfriendly and uncooperative. 2. One of the reasons we selected FQRV again was for the security that existed for previous stays: closed gates for both vehicles and pedestrians. This time the gate was wide open the entire time we were there. When we asked at the desk, we were told that the gates were broken (apparently for a long time), but that they were constantly watched, whatever that means. We never saw anyone watching them on many times in and out. 3. When we paid our bill, we were given a receipt with the wrong name, wrong site #, and for dates the following month. 4. There were many dogs that were often barking. We will certainly look for another place when we return to New Orleans. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is our fourth stay at this gated, small but clean park. The streets and sites are paved with good hookups. Not much dog walking room inside the gate but a big park is a few steps away. We feel safe in the park and on our walk to the French Quarters. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pricey, but walk .5 miles to French Quarter or 1 mile to French Market. Whole park was pavers with a little grass. Small pretty pool/hot tub. Free ice. Gated and walled RV park with overnight employee in office. Within sight of I-10. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were a little concerned about this park at first because we know New Orleans. However once getting there and seeing it we were very surprised at its neatness and the fact that we felt very safe. It is within walking distance from the French quarter (probably about a 15 minute walk) and we had no problems getting where we needed to go. The sites were large. The park was quiet except for the sirens on the road above us. However it did not stop us from having a good night sleep. When we go to Mardi Gras we will more than likely stay here. The reason to stay here given high price is convenience to French Quarter. You can walk but a bit far(and not recommended at night) so we drove the short distance each trip and found parking on streets or in lots by the river. Immediate area around park has homeless camp a few blocks away and graveyard next door but at least the slums have been torn down. Security is good in park - wall with spikes, security gate and guard at night. Inside the park is clean and lots reasonable size but no tables, trees or shrubs on regular sites. WiFi was good. Street and site paving is attractive. The elevated I-10 freeway next to park is very noisy outside but not noticeable inside RV. There is a small pool and clubhouse. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Walking distance to the French Quarter, nice pool and patio area, clean and neat paver back in site with convenient utility hook ups gated and secure in a very urban location everything you need and want to enjoy New Orleans but the rate still takes your breath for a moment. Considering traffic and limited parking it makes a perfect place to enjoy the Quarter and all that NOLA has to offer We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great location but not worth the ridiculous price. The park is an oval of back-in sites that are paved and plenty long enough for a large RV and a spot for the tow vehicle. The park has the standard laundry, bathroom and shower. The wi-fi was nonexistent. The office staff was cold and not very helpful. The area is a bit sketchy during the day and just plain dangerous at night. You will be taking a cab due to not being able to walk back from the quarter after dark so you might as well stay a bit further out. Given the price, we expected more and will not stay here again when we return to New Orleans. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stay here every time we stop in NOLA. The location is excellent for walking and biking into the quarter and town, as well as riding the Lafitte bike trail to City Park. Yes, you hear sirens all day and night but this small inconvenience, outweighs the convenience of the location of this well managed, clean, easy to maneuver park, run by friendly staff. My only criticism is that for the price they charge, they should have an outstanding WiFi system. We stayed in premium sites right outside the office building and were never able to connect. This park is all about location, several blocks from the French Quarter making it an easy walk or bike ride. However you cannot walk back at night (the park even advises against it) due to security - take a cab, Uber or Lyft back. The park itself is fine but not outstanding. The sites are long, wide and reasonably spaced. The roadway is wide and easy to navigate. There is a bit grass for each site and a couple of small common areas of grass but no dog park and a scarcity of trees and fire plugs. A big disappointment is that WiFi is in common areas only - crazy for such a small park. The laundry is good and clean with 3W and 3D. The bathrooms and showers are OK but could be nicer and certainly could be cleaner. The grounds are very clean with curbside trash collection throughout the day. The pool is cold (Feb.) but the hot tub was hot although it had mediocre jets. Security is good: it is fully walled and the front entrance is gated with a code. You are basically parked in a walled compound within the city. Hookups are good including cable but the sewer in our site was far away and required pulling up before leaving. All sites are back-in with ample room for parking a car/truck. Police, fire and ambulance sirens run nearly continuously throughout the night and day as does I20 - bring ear plugs! There is a nice fitness center. The staff is very friendly and most helpful. We would recommend this park for visiting the FQ but don't expect a luxury resort. You are paying mainly for the location and security. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.
