This campground is all about location with adequate services but not many frills. Sites are very close together, but the owner was a god-send when it came to guiding us in to our site. If you are looking for something close to New Orleans that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, this is a great place. I don't think I'd want to stay here for more than a few days while seeing the city though. Sites were reasonably level. Wifi was hit or miss. There was some pooling of water when it rained, but it rained A LOT while we were there, so that was somewhat to be expected. Overall, this campground was good for the price and location but it wasn't anything to get overly excited about. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting New Orleans. It is a tight RV park. not a lot of room between RV's. The owners are great on getting you into your space. They offer shuttle service into the French Quarter for $10 round trip. The only drawback is the train switch yard at the rear and the 4 lane hwy in the front. Motorcycles race up and down it til late at night. They charge a service fee of $4 if using a credit card. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is close to the city center. They have sites close to together

and internet was fair. The people were nice and we stayed 3 nights.

I am sure the location to Bourbon Street and attractions is why the sites are all very very close together. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pleasant clean park with friendly owners. Pool and jacuzzi were very clean. Owners assist you in backing into the sites. Area the park is located is sketchy but park is gated and felt very safe. Rode the bus to French Quarter and never felt scared. Trip took about 45 minutes to get to the quarter. Dog area was nice and clean. The park has gravel road with gravel sites and nice grass and picnic table. Would definitely stay here again. The park is a gem. Spots are very tight but owners back you in with no problem at all. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Definitely get the jazzy pass for the bus service. $9 for 3 days (can't beat that price) Did not have any issues taking the bus day or night. bus stops coming and going right in front of RV park.

Overall Rating:

It's a gated park with great owners who are very conscientious about their park. During our roughly 16 day stay we had to leave our trailer parked for about 4 days---and did so without incident. The only reason I didn't give them 10 stars was due to WiFi service, though it's not a mandatory provision, it would be nice if it worked more often. Otherwise, there's a reasonable amount of shade (especially considering the other parks in the area, even one named after trees, had absolutely none to speak of), and I felt completely comfortable letting my daughter wander around the park without worrying that she wouldn't come back safely. As far as parking goes---there are no pull-through sites, but the owners are very helpful in guiding us into a spot. There's a nice pool and hot tub to avail yourself of. All, in all, probably one of the best offers in the area. FYI: They give you a thorough accounting of all of their optional services and advice for your visit on the welcome sheet. We did not read it initially, but we recommend that you do (they mentioned that no one ever does, and perhaps it's time to change that). They know what they're doing, and we'll be back next year.

Once again: Read the welcome sheet they give you upon arrival. It will save you time and effort. They also have brochures for everything you may want to do in the office (as do a lot of places around town). We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A reasonable shuttle service to the French Quarter, and a deli about one door down that offers reasonably priced, delicious food.

Overall Rating:

This is a good park for being in New Orleans. The rate is very reasonable. The hookups are good and include cable which as of Dec 2015 was still largely functional although some channels were "digital unavailable". We used the laundry room here and was functional although could have used some clean up. The sites are tight. You might get your awning out if you try. The pool and hot tub are well kept. There are some long-term tenants but they are toward the back of the park. The park is in a sketchy park of town, although Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Lowe's, etc. are a quick drive away. The public bus stops in front of the park, but we didn't use it. This park is a great value considering the other options in the area. My only complaint is that I asked for the office to print a one page PDF for me and they directed me to a nearby UPS store. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very good place to stay if visiting French Quarter. A shuttle service is offered for a fee and well worth it. The sites are very tight but they were getting even large rigs in there. The owner is very helpful with parking. There is a switching station behind the park but we never heard anything. There is a small area for dog walking but you can take your dog next door to a big open grassy mowed field for exercise which saved the day. We spent three nights. Facility is gated so we felt secure there. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The French Quarter and ask the owner about a big park in town. We were too tired to do more than the French Quarter but we would take our dogs and drive to the Park if we were to go back to New Orleans. Apparently there is a lot to see there.

The camping ground is really just a parking area for your RV in a secure gated environment. There is a small swimming pool but no other recreational activities. The bathroom facilities are modern and were very clean - some of the cleanest facilities we have found. Good laundry at reasonable cost. Full hook up but very limited space between RV's with some awnings touching slide out of next RV. WIFI available but drops out constantly. Bus service from directly outside camp ground to city provides excellent and cheap service which we used. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The owner met us on arrival and escorted to site - possibly very necessary to assist some to back into small tight sites and was happy for us to get settled and have lunch prior to making payment. This camp ground provides a perfect inexpensive option for RV travellers and we would definitely stay again if in the area.

National World War II Museum is a must! 4th ranked museum in the U.S, 11th ranked museum in the world. Easy drive to many plantations in the area, as well as the New Orleans Museum of Art.

When you first pull in I have to admit it is a bit scarey. I was parked next to a party in an old broken down motor home covered with a blue tarp and one space a way from me as a couple sleeping in the back of a pickup truck under the canopy. But sprinkled in and among the full timers, were nice 5th wheels and then later that night 5 huge motor homes pulled in with their cars in tow. RV parks are truly a melting pot for America and a good experience for me. We slept well to the sound of pouring rain and like most all parks, everyone in the park was friendly. The park offers a valuable service, that being offering a shuttle to downtown New Orleans for $5.00 each way. It only took us 15 minutes to get there and the owners of the park were the drivers. They were very pleasant and offered suggestions on where to eat and what to see. They were very willing to answer questions we had about the hurricane. The owners are very pleasant folks who are working hard to make a living. I wanted to give the park a high rating because of them. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great park. Very clean, including the restrooms, showers and laundry. The staff is very helpful and gave us information about getting into New Orleans, restaurants, parking, etc. It is about a 15 minute drive into town, and we parked for $12 for 12 hours. The campsites are small and close together but very well kept. The neighborhood isn't that great, but the park is gated and safe. There is a small pool, but we didn't use it. The sites are all back in, but the owner will assist if needed. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

For New Orleans, a decent older place, gated due to not being in a good area of town, very tight spacing and very friendly helpful staff. Close to I-10, grass / gravel sites, full hook up and cable; slow wifi. Staff provides shuttle service to French Quarter.

Laundry room is older and well used, bathrooms well used but clean. Had reservation for months at normal rate of $30 but the football semifinal playoff cost us $40 instead. Not an issue.

Would return knowing it's just a place to park. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a small park with the very best to offer. The owners are very friendly, helpful and usually very visible. We had great cable TV and WiFi. Sites were on the smallish side but plenty of room for slides and awnings. They have a pool and hot tub. Close to sites and activities, and the bus stops right outside the security gates. This is our second visit and we will be back! Loved everything about it. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you are wanting to get close to the French Quarter without paying through the nose, this is a great RV Park. They offer shuttle service to and from the French Quarter from morning to around 10pm. Great WiFi and Cable TV. The RV Park is very tight though, and while they are pet friendly, there's not a lot of places to take your dog, other than your own area and up and down the single road in/out. Would recommend to those wanting to spend quality time exploring New Orleans. We marked "do not know" on family friendly simply because of the tight space. We chose this park because of recommendation and proximity to where we worked with the St. Bernard Project in New Orleans. The park has easy access from I-10. It is gated for some additional security. The spaces are very close together and all of the spaces are back-in, but the park owner helps all big rigs get parked and they are very good at guiding anyone into a space. Park management is very helpful with questions about the New Orleans area. Cable TV worked very well with an extensive channel selection. Wi-Fi was slow at times, but generally good. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. The laundry is well maintained. The pool and spa are well maintained. We stayed 11 nights and the daily rate ($26.79) included a 10% AAA or Good Sam discount and added taxes. The park is adjacent to the CSX rail switching yard, but the noise from the trains is very negligible. We will stay here again on our next trip to New Orleans. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.
