I have to agree with one of the previous reviews. This park is not in a neighborhood I would feel safe in at night were it not for the gate. The staff is wonderful. When our original site blocked our rooftop satellite they moved us to one where we could get reception. We took advantage of their shuttle service to the French Quarter and appreciated all of their suggestions for what to see and do. We didn't hear any train noise but lots of motorbikes racing up and down the highway in the middle of the night. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Chalmette Battlefield site was a great place to visit. Enjoyed learning about the Battle of New Orleans. About an hours drive into Mississippi is The Infinity Science Center and the John Stennis Space Center. Well worth the trip. The Space Center built in the 60s is where NASA tested all of the rockets for the space program. Th Infinity Science Center is a wonderful place to take the kids. Lots of hands on exhibits.

Overall Rating:

This campground is all about location with adequate services but not many frills. Sites are very close together, but the owner was a god-send when it came to guiding us in to our site. If you are looking for something close to New Orleans that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, this is a great place. I don't think I'd want to stay here for more than a few days while seeing the city though. Sites were reasonably level. Wifi was hit or miss. There was some pooling of water when it rained, but it rained A LOT while we were there, so that was somewhat to be expected. Overall, this campground was good for the price and location but it wasn't anything to get overly excited about. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Spent 4 night here while in New Orleans. A clean well maintained park, with super friendly service. Shuttle service to French Quarter. Train yard directly behind with banging noises at night. Sites are a little tight but long enough. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

While in New Orleans you must go see the National WWII museum. It's a full day to see the whole thing, but worth it. Make you take it the Tom Hanks movie, it was fantastic.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting New Orleans. It is a tight RV park. not a lot of room between RV's. The owners are great on getting you into your space. They offer shuttle service into the French Quarter for $10 round trip. The only drawback is the train switch yard at the rear and the 4 lane hwy in the front. Motorcycles race up and down it til late at night. They charge a service fee of $4 if using a credit card. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rating is of course based on the location, being close to downtown and the French Quarter of New Orleans. The owner is incredibly helpful with advice and a modest fee for shuttle service. We also used Uber. As stated, sites are close together and the place is basically a safe parking lot for your RV. All utilities worked great and the other visitors seemed friendly. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to visit New Orleans. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

The park is located right off a main road and the entrance is clearly marked and has a wide entrance area. The check in process was very easy and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were escorted into our site and the hookups were in the normal places and we had no problem with the hookups. The park is essentially a parking lot that is used by many to park their rigs and then make there way to downtown New Orleans. We were fine with that as we were there just stopping off on our way to Houston for the Super Bowl. There is an inexpensive shuttle that dropped us off right by the French Quarter and we were able to get the same shuttle back. Overall a good park and we would definitely stay there again if we can ever make it back to New Orleans. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

This park is close to the city center. They have sites close to together

and internet was fair. The people were nice and we stayed 3 nights.

I am sure the location to Bourbon Street and attractions is why the sites are all very very close together. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

The owners go out of their way to give great service.

While there is no pet run, there is ample places for your furry friend to walk n potty. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small park located about 10 minutes northeast of the French Quarter. The site pads and driveways are gravel with a small strip of grass separating the sites. All sites are back in and the owner will guide you into your site. Hook ups are good, restrooms and showers are clean and free WiFi worked well for us. There is also an on-site laundry and the owners will give you lots of visitor information for your visit to NOLA. We were there over Easter weekend and the owners had a huge crawfish boil on Sunday. It was fantastic with a terrific assortment of items in the boil: potatoes, onion, garlic, sausage, cauliflower, etc. It was delicious and very generous for the owners to invite the park residents to join them. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here about a week. Bare bones park in a commercial/ industrial area with bus transportation at the locked gates on the street right outside the park entrance, however this is a "rough" area as is most of the city. It's only a 10 minute drive to the French Quarter and parking, compared to other big cities, is cheap! Good park to set out and explore from with very accomodating management. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Nice little park - very convenient to downtown NOLA! It's not "camping" per say as its in the city but that's why we were there. This small park is kept immaculate and is very safe with owners on site and a gated entrance. Reasonable rates, especially with Good Sam or AAA. Even though it looked tight we made the turn into the driveway just fine and backed into our level spot with our 37' Motorhome with ease. Full hook-ups, a nice small pool with hot tub and bath house/laundry room provided. Owners very helpful with info on cheap parking and good restaurants in the city. We spent most of our time downtown but still enjoyed coming home to this little RV park. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a good park for being in New Orleans. The rate is very reasonable. The hookups are good and include cable which as of Dec 2015 was still largely functional although some channels were "digital unavailable". We used the laundry room here and was functional although could have used some clean up. The sites are tight. You might get your awning out if you try. The pool and hot tub are well kept. There are some long-term tenants but they are toward the back of the park. The park is in a sketchy park of town, although Walmart, Winn-Dixie, Lowe's, etc. are a quick drive away. The public bus stops in front of the park, but we didn't use it. This park is a great value considering the other options in the area. My only complaint is that I asked for the office to print a one page PDF for me and they directed me to a nearby UPS store. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice clean, secure, convenient, and affordable place to stay while you explore New Orleans. Yes, it's true, the sites are very close together, and there is considerable noise from the road and the railroad yard, but this is an urban environment and that has to be expected. There is only one area of grass up front to walk the dog, so no, not a great place for the pups, but it's workable. We were here for a festival and boarded our pooch at Camp Bow Wow. I highly recommend it. As for the park facilities, I didn't use them, but they looked to be very clean and modern. The showers have doors on them so lots of privacy, but no bench or chair. Just a few hooks on the wall in the very small changing area. I passed and used our own. There's also a laundromat, but didn't use it so can't comment. The owner is very helpful and friendly. My only complaint is that the wi-fi was pretty bad. Worked some of the time, but not very well. On the plus side, there's a very strong Verizon signal. If and when we return to NOLA, I wouldn't even bother considering anyplace else to stay. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Mardi Gras World was one of the highlights of the trip. It's free to roam around the warehouse, but the tour is well worth the price IMHO. Also, you need to call them to arrange for the free shuttle to pick you up. The parking lot there costs $10 even for a couple hours. Also, the little deli/convenience store, Natal's, two doors down from the RV park has pretty good food and a ton of it for a very affordable price.

Stayed here for 2 days. Nice little well maintained park with owners that are very helpful and friendly. The price can not be beat for the area. 5 miles to French Quarter. Security gate at night. Very tight but okay for parking the rig and enjoying NOLA. Owners gave suggestions on where to park and dine. 50 amp service, sewer, water cable TV and good WiFi. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Motorhome.

The camping ground is really just a parking area for your RV in a secure gated environment. There is a small swimming pool but no other recreational activities. The bathroom facilities are modern and were very clean - some of the cleanest facilities we have found. Good laundry at reasonable cost. Full hook up but very limited space between RV's with some awnings touching slide out of next RV. WIFI available but drops out constantly. Bus service from directly outside camp ground to city provides excellent and cheap service which we used. We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The owner met us on arrival and escorted to site - possibly very necessary to assist some to back into small tight sites and was happy for us to get settled and have lunch prior to making payment. This camp ground provides a perfect inexpensive option for RV travellers and we would definitely stay again if in the area.
