Feb 2019 - $25.00
This was our second visit to LLP and it's becoming our favorite spot. There are numerous trails for hiking and biking. There's a pavilion for use by small groups and a paved walkway around the lake. The park management has recently upgraded several of the sites with concrete slabs and wrought iron fencing. This is probably one of the nicest campgrounds in the state. - StJohn
Jan 2019 - $25.00
This is an exceptional county park where plenty of trees surround a very nice lake. Everything was immaculate. The newly renovated waterfront sites offer the best views. There is a paved trail around the lake and many trails for hiking or biking through the forest. There was no wi-fi but we had good LTE (AT&T) service. Located just 10 minutes off I-20, this is great for a one nighter or an extended stay. We stayed one night in site #21, a back-in with W/E/S and would happily stay here again. - texasAUtiger

We stayed only one night, the park is very nice, I highly recommend this park. The park host was very helpful. - 942

This was right off the I-20. Very close. The sites were not easy to find. The park is very rustic. It is the only park we could find on our way to the San Antonio area from Red Bay, Al. that didn't involve going through Dallas and Austin. We have a 40 ft MH with a tow. - bwandwhitey
Apr 2018 - $30.00
Very handy off the highway, so much potential if only the right owners would come along, but to many full time old trailer tenants. Some nice sites, lots of terrain, lake, treed, but would not stay there again, has a sketchy feel about it. Nobody at the office before 5pm and nobody at 10 am when i left, honor system. - Steve Vanleigh 375FL
Mar 2018 - $30.00
Good place for an over-night stop. Called for a reservation and all the woman wanted to know was when we would arrive and the kind of RV we had. When we arrived she escorted us to a pull-thru site with our front windshield looking at the pond that had been marked with a cone. Some of the sites have wooden patios. We did not use any of the facilities. Our site was clean and tidy but there are some full-time residents whose sites could use some attention. Our site had good AT&T service and clear sight for Dish. There was a road noise and an occasional train. The roads were dirt and gravel and some grade to and from the loops. We would stay there again. - SoonerMom

Stayed here for one night because we had to. Sites are out in a grass field with no runners. Extremely un-level. No cable, No Wi-Fi. Had to hunt someone down to pay for the night. Did not feel safe. Will not be camping here again. - aw wall
Mar 2010 - $24.00
Roads are dirt and gravel. Sites are dirt and grass. We had a large pull through which did not receive 50 amp service without a wire across the coach. Lake view was very nice with lots of geese. It was very dusty and could be muddy with rain. The roads in and out were very bumpy and the hook-ups looked rather outdated with dangling wrap, etc. Some large dogs were running loose. No problems with satellite or Verizon signals. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. The park was fairly empty when we stayed but you will want to check the website for the bargain shopping weekends (usually the second or third weekend of the month) which will attract large crowds and affect availability. - BigRigTravelerUSA

This park is very nice. Very wooded. The spots are very spacious. However some are quite I level. The camp host on spot 30 has a filthy, filthy area. Quite an eyesore for the entire park. Plus they have a pretty vicious dog. Perhaps that should be addressed. - Linda Bullock
Sep 2017 - $32.00
This is a nice state park campground. Sites are good. Some sites good for bigger rigs some too short for motorhomes. We were in site 28 which was acceptable. Sites 18, 21, 24, 29, 35, 51, 52, 54 and 62 would be better Motor home sites. With 21 and 24 being on the water. The Lake was pretty. There were nice fishing piers. The restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The park has many other facilities; including facilities for groups and recreation activities. - jwindham
May 2017 - $33.00
What a fantastic Louisiana State Park. Lake D'Arbonne is a beautiful lake right next to the bustling little town of Farmerville. Some of the sites are pitched forward or backward so having blocks if necessary would be wise. Very wooded, satellite reception could be a problem. Verizon service was excellent. Paved campsite spurs, paved roads. Very clean. Very nice staff. Plenty of fishing piers for wetting a line from. Great place to stay, highly recommended. - Stax

Jul 2018 - $20.00
We stayed here for just 1 night as a stop on a trip to Arkansas. Spot #65 was lovely. There were large spacious sites that were spread out nicely from each other. We were with 4 small boys who had a blast running through the woods. There was an unofficial trail where people had walked downhill from our site to the lake's edge. Patio was nice and there was a small square pad where a tent could be set up next to the RV. No stores or restaurants nearby. Bring in everything you need or bring a toad. Would definitely go back for a longer stay. - GearDown
May 2018 - $31.00
They messed up our reservations and put us in the wrong site! They found another site for the family that had reserved the site we'd already set up in but it was a big mess in the beginning with threats of us having to move due to their error. We said NO, wasn't our fault, you fix it. They finally did. - PegL
Nov 2017 - $20.00
This is another well kept LA state park. Sites are quite spacious. Laundry is free and they have a small book exchange too. Nice boat dock which is accessible from both ends of the campground. - MSSW

Dec 2018 - $31.00
This is a beautiful state park about 20 minutes off I-20. The waterfront sites are $5 more per night, but they have their own little dock which would be great during swim season or for a jet ski, boat, etc.. The lake is surrounded by gorgeous pines and has a good reputation for fishing. The bath houses were quite nice, very clean, and even had washers and dryers available (for free, I think). This would be a perfect spring or summer time vacation spot. Our cell service (AT&T) was spotty. We'd love to return for a longer stay where we could take full advantage of the lake. We stayed one night in site #22, a waterfront, pull thru site with I believe full hook ups (we didn't connect the sewer but I think there was a sewer connection). - texasAUtiger
May 2018 - $32.00
We travel with a truck camper and 20' cargo trailer (about 45' total). Site 27 was a nice pull through, long enough for everything with slight adjustment to level. Park was pretty quiet on the Thursday/Friday night we were there. Free washers/dryers that looked clean but we did not use them. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. - EstherRV
Oct 2017 - $40.00
This is a picturesque park with long camping sites, some on the water, others not. The water level was down when we stayed there as the reservoir had been drained to allow residents around the lake to repair their bulkheads. There are two loops which we walked and both are equally adequate. We did not have prior reservations and asked for a pull through site. We were assigned site 6 which is a shared site, fortunately, we did not have to share it with anyone. We also understand that LA State Parks do not offer discounts so that is reason for the $40 nightly camping fee. We would stay here again as the park is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. - Ole Red

Apr 2016 - $11.00
This is a lovely little park 8 miles SE of Clairbone. The lake had flooded just days before we came and owner's home had flooded but RV sites up higher and they were working hard on the park. Nice to have grassy sites, but really need some gravel as there is no protection from the heavy rains that they had received. Some sites not level. An out of the way location for a 1 night stay, but would be lovely to stay a few days in the summer for relaxation. - BandD
Oct 2014 - $24.00
The home photo as per their website. Quiet, lake for fishing, in the country. Owner's on site and friendly. Would stay here again for fishing and relaxing. - Liz & Bob
Nov 2011 - $9.00
This CG has a lot of potential and the new owners seem to be making progress towards significant improvements. They were extremely friendly and helpful especially considering we pulled in the evening before Thanksgiving Day. The beach and playground on the lake shore would be fantastic in warm weather. The boat launch, store, gas, and propane station are all right on site. Fishing is touted to be great. Two cabins in the CG are very nice. The RV sites need some work, especially the placement of utilities and delineation of the sites. We had to park perfectly in a pull-through so all our lines/cords could reach the connections which were scattered in all different directions. The septic tank we hooked to overflowed and we had to back up 15' to connect to another. The sites are nice and level, and there should be no problems maneuvering big rigs. There is presently no restroom/shower facility, but if/when built and the sites are spruced up a bit, this CG would rate a 9 or 10 in our minds. The Wi-Fi was decent at an extra $2/day. The PA price of $8.50 makes this place a great bargain. - Full-Time Roamers
