Dec 2017 - $26.00
Price is for one night E/W $20 fee plus $6 transaction fee (the $6 is only charged one time, not nightly). Beautiful little campground on banks of Lake Bruin, an oxbow lake formed when the Mississippi River changed its course further east. Excellent, friendly service. Verizon and over-the-air TV signals good. Laundry room in comfort station. Restrooms updated and immaculate. Paved road and sites, most pretty level and fairly spacious. Sun/shade mix. - aowcarol

For a fisherman or boater that enjoys time on the water, this is perfect if you have a waterfront site. One pier was right behind our pad and the water was only a few feet away. You could pull your boat right up to the campsite or to a covered boat slip with power at the loading ramp. The sites were close together but the neighbors were wonderful and it wasn't an issue for us. If you need more room, the sites in the middle are a little more spacious. The sunsets are fabulous! Because of lots of rain and river seepage the grounds were grassy and we didn't set foot in the swimming area. It looked swampy with no sand but wasn't something we cared about. There was a water sprinkler play area nearby but also not something we were looking for. Bathhouses were extremely clean but it took quite a while for the water to heat up for a shower. Shower stalls were also very clean, though and the temperature in the room was comfortable. There were no sewer hookups which would have been much nicer for us. We much prefer showering in our camper but didn't want to break their policy about grey water drainage. The pet potty area was centrally located. It was very quiet while we were there during the week. When we arrived on Sat it was packed with people and someone was parked on our pad. We will visit again, though, maybe next July 4th. They are already booked up for this year! - lprice66
Nov 2015 - $21.00
Agree with some of previous reviews. Back sites are a little more spacious than the ones by the water. Fair amount of sites are fairly level, but there is a fair amount that slope either backwards or foward, not excessive but enough that blocks would be needed for a motorhome. Park is clean and quiet, only two of us here during the week. Free WIFI works pretty good, thanks LA. Some trees could be trimmed higher for the large RVs. Roads are all paved but are narrow and we did get through ok with 43 ft motorhome, one tight turn needed to back up. Sites all paved. Didn't use bathhouse. We wouldn't stay here if it was close to full, just to close to neighbors for us. Water pressure good, electric good. Site 45 in the open with grass Satellite reception no problem. - FTatcret2013
Feb 2019 - $20.00
This park is a gem - an RV park with full facilities, a museum, historic buildings, wildlife including a plethora of birds from finches to herons. About a half-hour to Vicksburg and the National Park - the Grand Gulf battles were directly related to the Vicksburg campaign. The folks here are helpful and knowledgeable about the attractions and the really great local restaurants in the area. Wonderful place to stay anytime. - Frederic
Oct 2018 - $23.00
We arrived on October 1st and stay 4 nights to visit the historical battle ground, the park has a museum, the park ranger was very helpful, the office manager very nice lady, all the staff very attentive and acknowledgeable of the place, we really enjoy our stay. Since we were the only ones at our arrival, we chose our spot. - 942
May 2018 - $20.00
We have visited this park a number of times both for work and pleasure. It is well maintained in a beautiful setting with historic monuments and artifacts on display. They offer full hookups at a very reasonable price. It is quiet with plenty of wildlife to watch. The staff members are knowledgeable about the history of the park, area attractions and restaurants. - LaylaB
Oct 2018 - $15.00
I stayed in campground B which gives plenty of room in the site. The layout makes backing in the rv fairly easy. I only saw two pull thru sites in campground B. My site was fairly level and long. The electric and water was good and placed well on the site. There is a dump station on the way out of the campground. The roads going to the campground are little tight. - gadawg
Apr 2018 - $16.00
Roads: Paved speed limit 15 mph with reason if you follow the speed limit they present no problems. Sites Loop A sites 1-21 is the older CG and things a somewhat tighter and closer together, we did not stay there. Loop B 22-48. Power 20,30, 50 amp with water at all sites. Dump station on the way out for loop B. Sites was level but showed evidence of some minor flooding due to rain. Bathrooms and showers were clean with good hot water and good pressure. Verizon phone and Mifi worked well. There's a lake in the park and it's very close to B loop but the boat ramp is over by the rental cabins on the other side of the dam. They have one short nature trail about .5-.7 miles. This CG is a good staging area for seeing the sites Natchez has to offer and the lower Natchez Trace. If we're in the area again we'd stay here. - pumper9x9
Nov 2017 - $18.00
We found it a bit confusing getting to this campground. Be aware that that are two separate camping areas labeled as Campground A or 1 and Campground B or 2. How you enter will depend on which campground that you are in. We were in B and entered (off of the Natchez Trace Parkway) via State Park Road, then Wickcliff Road to the park entrance, you then have a couple of miles to travel on very winding roads to the campground entrance. All of the roads were in OK shape. You do pass some rather trashed-out structures on the roads to the Park, but the park itself was nice enough. We stayed at the park to visit Natchez which worked OK, but it is about 30 minutes into town. Our site was nice and level. We were able to get satellite for DirecTV by using our portable dish, but it took some work finding the signal. Verizon voice and data were usable. When we arrived, there was a tag on our site with our name and reservation information. We never saw any park personnel during our six-day stay. It was quiet and dark at night, which worked well for us. - TheJim
