Park was clean and relaxing. Showers, restrooms, pool areas were very clean. Grounds were well kept and plenty to do and see around the area. Wi-Fi was terrible, as was the cable TV reception, which was basically satellite TV pushed through the 193 RV sites and reception was very very iffy at best. Local antenna TV was nonexistent. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park, but it needs entrance and exit signs badly. You don't know whether to go left are right, and the sites aren't marked where you can see them. Very difficult when pulling a Toad or TT. It overlooks the Mississippi River. The interior roads are pretty rough, and it is very dusty. When you leave, your RV and Toad will be covered with dust. We would still return because there are a lot of historical places to visit around Natchez. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The park is not that easy to get to & from US-84 as some GPS devices won’t find it because the park’s address is at the end of what appears to be a private road. If you use coordinates, the GPS might still have a problem in selecting a route over actual roads. There are some signs to get you there from the main highway through town. The access to the park requires climbing a little hill over an elevated levee road. When you get into the park, it sits right along the Mississippi River. There is a walking path along the river. Some of the path is concrete that changes to mowed grass. The interior roads are gravel. The radius of the turns is manageable. The roads are narrow but the traffic flow is suppose to be one way so the only issue is parked vehicles along the road. The sites are a mixture of concrete or grass parking pads. The pull through sites were not long enough for our 40’ MH with the toad attached. The concrete pads were generally level. But the drop off the front of ours (#124) is greater than comfortable. Not much privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (20/30/50 AMP), & a sewer connection that were generally midway along the side of the site. They charge $3/night more for using a 50 AMP connection. There was an outside table on grass. There is some tree encroachment on some sites. Opening slides was easy in the sites without tree encroachment. There seemed to be some long term residents. Some of the trees in the park could interfere with satellite reception. Don’t believe there is cable. Only over the air reception was limited to 3 or 4 channels. WiFi reception was intermittent at best. The designated pet area was along the outside edge of the park. The area was not fenced. There was sufficient area to walk dogs in the designated area and along the gravel roads. There were no bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste or receptacles to dispose of waste. They offer site garbage pick up each morning before 9 AM. There was only one dumpster located at the far end of the park. For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. A threatening storm moved through with strong winds and rain. No tornados but it was concerning. The office building was probably a safe shelter due to its construction. But it was above ground. After it rained, there were standing pools of water along the gravel roads and grassy areas. We didn’t use the pool/restrooms/showers/laundry room but walked past the laundry room due to its location between the parking lot and the registration desk. The building was centrally located in the park so if you end up at the end of either of the camping areas, it is a long walk to the building. Probably would look for something else due to the cost versus amenities if we needed to stay in the area again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Crushed limestone was very dusty. Construction noise starts before daylight. Wi-Fi unusable throughout the stay. Bath and showers are clean but needing minor repairs. Sites are level, and water and electric worked well. Office personnel are efficient and polite. Good for one night only. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This park is going down hill very fast. We have stayed there numerous times in the last eight years or so. The Wi-Fi has never worked except in the office and the cable TV is a joke. On our last visit the grass had not been cut and there were pot holes everywhere in the dusty roads. The biggest insult though is their rates. Passport America is almost twenty three dollars. We spent the Summer on the road, going all the way from Alabama to Washington State and this park has the highest daily rate of any place we stayed. And most everywhere we stopped had good or better Wi-Fi and full access cable TV. Someone spent lots of money developing this park with all the concrete pads and modern electrical hookups, etc. Too bad they are pricing themselves out of the business by not catering to what RV'ers now want; things like Wi-Fi, cable, no dust, and reasonable rates. The only really positive thing I can speak for were the staff. The two ladies I dealt with were very nice. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We went here for the Jim Bowie BBQ Festival held this time of year. Had a pull through site with concrete pad. Very few shady sites. Wi-Fi was totally useless as was the cable TV. All roads are gravel and full of pot holes. Had multiple campers drinking and playing loud music till 2-3 am. Complaints were useless. Park has no security and could not reach employees at night. We will not be returning to this park! We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Park itself was nice. Concrete parking pads on pull-throughs, lots of grass (but relativly few are shaded). Do NOT use a google search for this campground; directions take you up a 2 mile dirt two-track to a dead end with very little turn-around room.(yes I did that) Finally arrived at the campground, we just luckily stumbled onto another sign and found it, The lady at the desk said we did not have a reservation even after I told her the date, time and assigned site number...she later remembered that she had talked with me. Yes they have cable TV available in part of the park, all five channels (three of which were without sound) and WI-FI that was periodic even though we were only about 60 feet from the office building. We most likely will not return to this park just because of the help there. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Too expensive for what you get. Might be OK in summer but no facilities in winter and still a high season rate. Not friendly. Will not stay again. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

This park has gravel streets with cement pads and the sites are really not long enough. This park doesn't show me much. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
