These are the nicest and most congenial owners we have ever met in 9 years of RVing. The owners and staff are excellent. They go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome and address your every concern and answer every question. We cannot say enough about how great our stay was at their campground even though it does not have some of the amenities you might expect. If you like peace and quiet and Maine woods next to the ocean this is for you. 30 amp only at our site but we stayed 2 weeks without having to move our rig because the privy is so clean and the outdoor shower is fabulous (their are indoor showers as well). 6 OTA TV signals, and WIFI is only at the camp office but works well. The owner spaces RVs according to the occupancy so that folks do not feel cramped even though there is plenty of room between sites. Dump station at office and the owners can lend you a "blue boy" should you need it. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is rural Maine with many small towns on the peninsula but with great scenery all around. The major grocery outlet is in Blue Hill about a 15 minute drive. The Brooklin General Store has basic necessities. There are any hiking trails all around and plenty of water activities in the area. Brooklin is the wooden boat building capital of the US.

Rarely does one find the kind of gracious hospitality offered by the owner at OCRK. She is intent on making her guests happy and does a very good job of it. She even picked a bouquet of wildflowers for my birthday! It is a beautiful location with a long, rocky beach, and the sites are rustic but very comfortable. Some are more private than others, and some are pretty close together. But there is a good mix. Facilities are new and spotless, and although there's little access to internet or cell service, it doesn't matter, because it is such a great place. If you're headed to the coast of Maine, this is the place to go. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Motorhome.

We stayed for two nights. Sites are very woodsy and private. You feel like you are in a state park. Pit toilets throughout. Clean. Hot showers available at office. Also free dvds and books to borrow. Does not accommodate big buses. Has electric only but has a dump station available. Trail down to beautiful ocean. You cannot see ocean from sites.

Owner wonderful and available for any questions. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Travel Trailer.

If you desire FHU, TV and campsite wifi, you should look elsewhere. If you want a quiet, forested campsite away from the crowds on a peninsula unspoiled by tourist attractions, come here. The owners were exceptionally friendly. The campground is more like what you would find in a national park. The electric sites have 30A outlets (no breakers), a fire rings and picnic tables. There are rustic privies scattered around the 1-way gravel loop road. Dump station on loop near exit. Owners offered the use of tow-able blueboy if we needed to offload some gray water during our stay in lieu of towing the trailer out and back.

Showers are located at the office at the front end of the loop. We were here mid-week after Labor Day and this was a very quiet campground and while we had neighbors, there was almost no traffic on the loop. A foot path leads to a stone beach. We were able to receive 1 national network channel (CBS) and a handful of secondary ones. It may be possible to use DISH/Direct on some sites with an open view. We were at the opposite end of the loop from the office so the wifi didn't reach. The thinning of the brush and trees is still a work in progress. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Travel Trailer.

Location, location, location. As with all real estate the most important aspect. This place in an ideal location for exploring one of Maine's more unspoiled peninsulas. I noted that almost everyone there had Maine license plates. Indicative, as usual, that the locals are the first to find the good places. The campground is only two years old and is still a work in progress. Site was level enough with only 30 amp electrical available. There is an adjacent typical unspoiled Maine beach, beautiful, rocky and very cold water. You can't find a more enthusiastic ownership complete with the attitude to do whatever it takes to satisfy. Nearby lobster pond was a great experience. We brought and enjoyed our own wine. We noticed the group next to us did it right. They brought wine, salad, napkins and table cloth. Great stay hope to someday come back. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Motorhome.

Extremely clean, fairly remote park, TERRIFIC, friendly, fun owners.

Good roads, great beautiful and easy to get to and enjoy, waterfront.

Just can't say enough good about this place, an it's owners.

Plan a long stay because you will love your stay at oceanfront camping at reach knolls.

They were starting to clear brush where the waterfront could be seen by more spaces when we left. It should be even more amazingly beautiful now. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Motorhome.

A brand new heavily treed, shady park, right on the ocean, where we gathered our own clams for a supper one night. Terrific helpful, friendly owners.

More brush will soon be cleared to give better views of the water front.

I can't think of any reason anyone would be sorry they stayed here.

Great park. I just wish it was closer to Texas. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Motorhome.

Near the end of the road in authentic Maine, the way Maine used to be. Heavily wooded gravel sites, good electric service (20/30 amp) and water and dump station available. Located on the ocean, near good lobster availability and the owners will lend you a lobster boiling pot with cooking instructions.

The best part of the adventure here are the friendly and "can do" owners who will do somersaults to make your stay pleasant. This is c/g is located in a historic portion of Maine, near Acadia, fishing villages, boat building schools and yards. Great off-the-highway restaurants and art galleries. Just ask and Lori will point you in the right direction. Don't miss the historic Brooklin Boat Works and the Wooden Boat School. We camped at Oceanfront Camping @ Reach Knolls in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Brooklin peninsula has plenty to do. Enjoy a day-sail or drive throughout the islands to fishing and lobstering villages. There's q postcard view everywhere you turn.

OFC is an hour from Acadia and places like Bar Harbor and Southport.

You'll miss the usual crowded highways and shopping areas of coastal Maine. From OFC you can poke in and out of these famous destinations and still enjoy a fireside dinner overlooking the stone beach.
