We decided to give Greenland Cove CG another try and really glad we did. Lot#57 is no longer an issue as previously posted, very quiet and peaceful now. The lake is beautiful and the fishing was very good. The pool is heated. They have a very large rec room on first floor and a kid's rec room with games in the basement. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The shower floor is somewhat spongy feeling when walking across it. This area will need a little work soon. The lawns are well groomed and the flowers are beautiful. The sites are gravel and mostly level. There are 30 amp services with the water pressure holding around 40 PSI. I cannot say enough good statements about the staff for they are all very friendly, sincere, knowledgeable about the area, and willing to assist with any issues. I even saw one of the staff backing a camper into a site for a gentleman who was not comfortable backing himself. One of the other campers I spoke with came here for two weeks, extended to three weeks, and now is staying the remainder of the summer. The road into the campground has a few pot holes, but go slow and you should be fine. This is a wonderful place to camp and we plan to return here again. - Lakeside013104

We came back at the end of July and had another wonderful time at this (previously) tranquil campground. My rating is lower on this review due to my experience during our August visit along with comments from other nearby campers to seasonal lot #57. The lady at this site is very rude, inconsiderate of others, and feels because she is seasonal, she can do whatever she wants. Do not reserve any site near #57 unless you like blaring "Rapp" music all day long and half the night. We asked this person very politely to please lower the volume of her music, but she appeared put out that we had the nerve to say anything to her. This will be our last visit to this, otherwise, wonderful campground. So sad, one person spoils the atmosphere of the calling of loons on the lake, hearing the leaves blowing through the trees, and the occasional joyous laughter of happy children. - Lakeside013104

This was a very clean campground to stay at. The lake view and sunsets were amazing. Pet friendly with ample space to exercise you and your pet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The showers were clean and 25 cents bought you three minutes of shower time. They offered dock space for boaters and a sandy beach for sun bathers. The sites were large enough to accomodate our 38.7' fifth wheel with ease. No sewer hook-up, but a new dump station available for free use. A dump "cart" is available for pump outs for long stay campers (for a small fee). The pool is heated for the non-lake swimmers. We had a very relaxing stay here and plan to visit this campground several times a year. - Lakeside013104
Aug 2007 - $20.00
This is a rustic campground in a beautiful setting. It's more than a little outdated in terms of site size, restrooms, etc. The park looks like, at one time, it had a lot of care. But that is no longer true. Too bad. The river is beautiful. The road in is awful and dangerous. Maine should do better than this. - MaineDon

This park is great for anyone with a tent or small camper that wants the wilderness experience. We found the access, 9 miles of narrow & rough dirt road, unacceptable for any motorhome. It took us 45 minutes just to safely navigate the road and now are a muddy mess. I did not see any place along the road that we could turn around or even enough room to pull to the side if we met another camper. The staff were extremely friendly and I do hope for the future of this city park. - ChuckA
