Beautiful park. A lot of seasonals (and year round?) but most maintain them well. Everyone we met were very friendly.
The pond is nice as well as the well maintained trails around it. Very quiet at night! We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Probably the best campground I've been to. No frills, but solid amenities, nice sites, and great staff. The fellow, who runs the place, is great! He helped us get the water working on our new TT. He was very funny, helpful, and all around just a good guy. We camped very early in the season, it was not very busy. Really nice pull through site and a dump station, very large and easy to use. It looks like the majority of sites are seasonals. When we arrived, we thought there were only a few campers, the next morning we noticed a bunch of seasonals there - we didn't even know! That's how quiet it is there! We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I feel that a 6 accurately depicts this campground. There were some positives and negatives to the campground. The campground does provide free firewood (nice benefit) and was only 27.00 per night before taxes. There are a variety of sites, seasonal, tent, and rv sites. We were given an escort to our site and told that if we could not back into our site they would use a tractor to park the camper. Most of the rv sites are spacious, however the site that we were given was very tight for my 30 foot travel trailer. I was able to back my trailer into the site and I did need to prune a few branches as they were up against my trailer. The pedestal was at the very back of the site, which means you need a long hose for both water and a power supply. The water pressure was very low but the electricity worked well. No sewer, wifi, or cable on the site. I did manage to get a few channels on the antenna. I did not use the shower in the trailer as the water pressure was to low and decided to use the restroom in the campground. However, I feel that the shower really could use a more thorough cleaning. Aside from the fact that this is an adult campground, that does not need to mean there should be absolutely nothing to do. Labor day weekend, you would think some campground activities would be on the schedule for people to participate in. We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is an adult only park so it is mellow and low key--delightfully quiet. The park is rustic with the sites as nature created them--apart from the water and electric. It is what remains of a homestead, and the stone foundation of the farmhouse that burned down is in the middle of the grounds-- and at the entrance is the family burial plot. Makes for an unusual RV park--but a delightful one it is. The internal roads offer pleasant walks and they can be taken out into a more secluded area of woods and fields that are being conserved. My site itself was reasonably level and utilities easy to access. Pump out service is provided at a nominal fee. They have a heated swimming pool. If I recall correctly my Verizon worked OK. This park was a delight; I did not want to leave. We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

About an hour away is the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge which has beautiful trails and views. If you are into history and literature, Sara Orne Jewett's home is about a half hour south in South Berwick and tours are offered daily. One can see her bedroom just as it was with all her treasures and mementos when she lived in it--and the desk where she wrote her wonderful stories.

We discovered this gem last year. After a weekend there we made it our seasonal "summer home". The grounds are immaculate with beautiful flowers and manicured lawns. There are sites for everyone's taste (70 shaded and 30 sunny). The fire wood continues to be free and it is pet friendly (on leash). Heated built in pool, club house and a lovely large 7 acre pond to canoe or kayak on. It is adult only (which is great and what drew us there in the first place). There are 150 acres with many trails to walk. If your looking for a noisy, bustling, golf cart filled campground then this isn't for you. If you want beauty, peaceful relaxation and nature wrapped up with great people then this is it! I suggest you give Potters Place a try!!! We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Quiet, basic adult campground. Lovely large seasonal lots, well maintained. Overnighters are together in tree shaded section. Hook ups were fine, fairly level site, lots of trees/shrubs between sites gives extra "privacy." Owner/staff helpful and friendly. Pump out available for a fee, otherwise dump station is well positioned and set up. Sort of a "hidden gem" (and I hate to give the secret away) and it is easy to get a site. perfect for these two adults and 2 small dogs to get away in July/Aug w/o kids in the pool / The pool is very nicely maintained. WE ARE going back next year. We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Motorhome.

This was, by far, the nicest campground we have ever stayed in. The restrooms were tidy and clean. The heated pool was very well maintained and crystal clear. The lawns and gardens were lovely. The area was quiet and relaxing. We had a wonderful weekend and will return again soon. We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Travel Trailer.

"I've never posted a 1 review of any campground before, in our opinion it should be Zero" We agree with this person. Never have we seen a campground in such deplorable condition. After driving in, and seeing the condition the first few sites were in, we explored further, and after going to the pool, and the toilet areas, we bypassed the office, and headed down the road. Awful, awful, awful. We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Motorhome.

Great CG for those looking for a quiet, peaceful experience. This CG is an adult-only CG; children are not even allowed to visit for the day. Sites are very spacious and private. The only reasons why we're not giving this CG a 10 is because the "beach" on the pond is not a beach -- more of a grassy tidal area that one must wade into. In addition, the place has a lot of seasonals, who have all of the sites on and near the pond. Water pressure on the back side of the CG is low, so finding a site on the front side is advisable. That said, it was a great place for a very relaxing experience. We camped at Potter's Place Campground in a Motorhome.
