10 RV Parks near Newport, Maine
Sep 2019 - $29.00
A mostly seasonal campground conveniently located near the interstate but far enough away from traffic noise. Our site was a little challenging to level but we managed. It was a tight fit too. Nice view of the lake though. Very friendly staff. We would stay here again. - MJB
Jun 2019 - $40.00
Convenient for a one night stop. Mostly seasonal campers, but well kept. Super friendly staff. - Meyersdvm
Sep 2016 - $27.00
We stopped for a night on our way home from a trip to Nova Scotia. It is mid September, so the camp's residents were mostly seasonals. Seasonal sites occupy probably 70% of the campground, so if you are looking for a site in the height of the season you may want to call first.
We camped on site 22, right on Sebasticook Lake. The view was gorgeous and the site well maintained. There are only 7 lake sites and another 7 with front lake view out of 69. Lake front sites do not have sewer hook up. Full hook up sites are $30.00.
There are several docks and boat ramps and a small beach.
The owners were very nice and friendly. Our one night stay was uneventful and enjoyable.
The campground is conveniently located close to Hwy 95 and on Route 2 for travelers driving the scenic route East - West. - Catalina W
Jul 2019 - $36.00
Nice campground... came here to beat the heat in Florida and play golf thru the summer! Nice 18 hole golf course! I found out the last week we were here there are coupons in the local paper they delivered to our campsite... also have great discounts Mon-Thur after 3:00 p.m. Nice facilities including small laundromat! - SuzyQRN
Jul 2019 - $38.00
We stayed here for an overnight while traveling on 95. To get here, from 95, take Exit 157, NOT Exit 150 (which your gps would have you do). Exit 157 is quicker and has nicer roads. It was pouring rain when we arrived, so I didn't explore the campground, but it looked nice enough. A small playground for the kids. The check-in staff was super friendly. Nightly price was better than other campgrounds in the area. - Lucy7513
Aug 2018 - $18.00
Great location, great price. Full hookups, shaded site, 50 amps Quiet!! Friendly deer. Moose in the area, didn't see any but others in the campground have. - Jdon
Jul 2018 - $31.00
We stayed here for a couple weeks of downtime as we were traveling around New England. Most of the other campers appeared to be seasonal/regular weekenders. Everyone was friendly, they have lots of weekend activities, and it's every quiet at night. Nice lake, docks, loons, tall mature trees. Verizon cell and mifi worked just OK, no T-Mobile service. We had a level back-in site with a view of a wooded area out the front and partial view of the lake out the side. Campground was clean and well maintained. Interior roads were tight for our 40 foot MH, but no overhanging limbs and the manager gave us a good recommended path in. Rate reflects a discount for weekly rate. We would stay here again. - Roaming Together
Jul 2017 - $20.00
We stayed for 4 nights. Some nights the traffic noise from I-95 was really noticeable and other nights not so much. This is a small park with some seasonals and one section with about 5 pull thrus 1 of which seems to be a seasonal. There are 2 chickens, 1 cat, 1 old dog and a duck with a hurt leg that roam around. There is 1 washer and 1 dryer in the same building as the bathrooms. The pull thrus were fairly level and grassy and I was able to get my Direct TV dish locked in. The road the park is on is pretty rough. - mrracechaser
Jul 2017 - $20.00
Good overnight transit stay. It is about 2 miles from the interstate exit on rough secondary roads, but is reasonably quiet even though the interstate is not far away. Chickens, duck, cat plus a very friendly host made for an interesting stop. No frills ... just a good transit stop. We would stay again. Arriving near dark, the mosquitoes were present and hungry. - cherib
Jul 2015 - $30.00
Lots of full time run down sites. The manager was OK but the office etc was a mess. Tiny pool. One washer and dryer. The restrooms were clean but run down. $30 as weekend but I'm not sure I'd even stay here at the half price Passport America rate. - kiwitravelers
May 2018 - $42.00
We just stayed one night on our way through the park had just opened. Friendly staff. We had a pull through that was plenty long. Cable and WiFi worked fine. Looks to be very family friendly. We did not check out any of the amenities except the dog park. It was clean and bigger than most we've seen. About a quarter of the sites are designated "seasonal". But the sites were well kept. We would stay again. - Patricia57
Jun 2017 - $63.00
We were impressed with the park. The folks running the park were extremely friendly and helpful. The park was very clean and well kept. There are elements of the park that are quite aged but overall facilities are very well kept and park is clean, orderly, and was pleasant to visit. The store was well stocked and the prices were reasonable. We would not hesitate to visit again. - Matt7571
May 2016 - $47.00
We stayed here the weekend of May 20th-22nd with our Western Mountain RV'ers chapter of the Maine Good Sam Club with 2 other members. The campground was pretty empty the weekend we stayed, because it was before Memorial Day and the pool was not open yet. The campground was quiet when we were here due to the lack of campers. There also was not much entertainment/activities due to it being prior to the "official" start of camping season (Memorial Day weekend).
My wife and another chapter member loved the hot tub even though it was small and oddly located. The outdoor pavilion needed better lighting and something added to it such as a movie screen or something of that nature to make it usable for entertainment.
The sites we had were 30/50 Amp full hookup pull thru sites. The sites were either dirt with a lot of roots from the large White Pine trees or large sized rock/gravel sites which were tripping/ankle twisting dangers. The sites were partly shaded from the large White Pine trees around the sites.
The dog park was OK but it was small and the fence did not go all the way to the ground so the ball kept going under it. The walking/hiking trails were not marked and were actually also ATV trails. The store was small and we did not use any of the bathroom/shower facilities. The staff was OK but not overly friendly.
We did go into downtown Skowhegan on Saturday of our stay (about a 10-15 min drive) to go to the breakfast buffet at Ken's Restaurant and some of our members went shopping in Skowhegan and to the 10 mile yard sale that was going on that weekend.
We would stay here again but probably try it during the prime season time between Memorial Day & Labor Day. - HappyCamperMaine04938
Sep 2019 - $28.00
Nice park being run by nice, helpful people. The interior roads are gravel, while our site had more rocks. There wasn't much shade, but it looks like trees had been planted and needed to mature. All the utilities worked fine, and it was easy to get connected. OTA television wasn't bad, but we had to keep adjusting our antenna and never could get NBC. Satellite TV was good, as was our AT&T cell phones and hot spot. The park's wi-fi was spotty, at best, and we had to use our hotspots about half the time. We would return. - Bbtj
Aug 2019 - $25.00
Very friendly host. Well maintained grounds. Easy in and out. About an hour to Bar Harbor which has a lot to see and do. - Jimbo1973
Aug 2019 - $26.00
Rate based on monthly rate. This RV Park still remains the best bet in the Bangor area. As in many other places we been to lately, they no longer have cable. OTA TV is fair, ABC, CBS, FOX & a couple of PBS types were always strong, NBC was real spotty. Most of the folks that work and run this RV Park still are top notch. My only complaint would be the guy who used the weed wacker on a gravel and stone site. He had stones flying all over the place. Dust still can be an issue. - Bob and Inga
Aug 2018 - $39.00
Great location near Harvey's RV where we took RV for repair when transfer switch blew. Just a few minutes off highway. Lots of green space and room between sites. Quiet and peaceful setting. Playground, not sure about doggie park but if anyone needs a clean, pretty site near Harvey's, highly recommend. Not too far from Maine Mall, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping although I did not see anything right around park. - Andrea W
Aug 2018 - $38.00
I have been staying here for more than 12 years every summer on our trek South in the USA. This campground is my favorite because it is cozy. It's friendly, clean, the owner is fantastic, and they will provide great service for whatever you need. The planes come in on a regular basis which the kids love!!! If you need a nice spot to hang for a few days and enjoy Banjor/Hermon, give these folks the business. As an RV'ER....it is a great spot! - Squappy
Oct 2017 - $34.00
We stayed in our new to us trailer while our adult kids and friends stayed in the rental trailer - top notch campground! We have camped here a few time over the years and always enjoy this campground the most out of the other in the Bangor area. Owners are great and take good care of the campground. - daniel31
Oct 2019 - $48.00
A quick overnight left us wishing we had planned more time here. Lovely well-lined out campground on a small peninsula. It is located at the confluence of two rivers, hence the name. It is mainly level, well kept and has a friendly owner and a fair number of seasonal that are friendly as well. Satellite service was not so good due to the many trees, but there was cable available. Water and electricity was good. We would definitely return. - DebbieT in Alabama
Sep 2019 - $41.00
Very nice small park. Many seasonal but all are very well kept. Campground is very neat and clean. Owners obviously take great pride in their campground. Propane refill available onsite. Very nice sites along the river are water/electric only. FHU are in the center portion. - Pjh3939
Aug 2019 - $42.00
This was a really pleasant stay. We had a cozy treed site next to the river. Small campground with a good vibe. Would definitely stop there again. - C Pritchard
May 2019 - $46.00
Poor TV reception, very poor WIFI. - Mazzie
Jun 2018 - $35.00
We stayed here in a motorhome. Roads are good and our site had full hook ups. Park is quiet except for the occasional airplane from Bangor airport. Wifi was slow as in most parks we visit. Park was clean and well maintained. - RayN
Jun 2017 - $38.00
The facilities for laundry and restrooms were not acceptable at all. The "activity room" looked more like a storage room with a sofa, tv, pool table and video games scattered about. But the mop and mop bucket along with other cleaning tools and equipment, were just sitting around in there as well. The roads need some work, but were not terrible. The sites themselves are close together and grass and/or mud only. This park accepts Vouchers from the City of Bangor for the homeless. So you have tenters camping anywhere from 25 yards and sometimes closer next to expensive rigs. There was no enforcement of their own rules, i.e. pet leashes, speed limit, noise, etc. The grass at the entry and in the middle of the park is mowed often and well kept, but maintenance around the rigs, was spotty. Internet was iffy, sometime on, sometime off and when on, extremely slow. - Drtskirt
Aug 2017 - $45.00
The park seems to have great potential with the amenities available and area. But a lot of partying, golf carts riding all hours and fast, kids unsupervised in many areas. Owners very hard to reach and not approachable about problems. They are very short tempered when approached and rude. I have read many reviews saying the same thing so probably will find another park in the area. Too bad because it is a great area and may return under new ownership. - HappyCamper866
Aug 2017 - $47.00
Check-in smooth, very friendly staff. We were with friends and we were put in what appeared to be the shoulder of the gravel road, in the back section of the campground. They had us set up with our front being in line with their back, felt like it was an overflow area. The roads were narrow. A lot of campers were set up for the season, it appeared. Saw two with "For Rent" signs on them. Only stayed one night. - dtfoster
Jul 2015 - $38.00
They are changing over to a Yogi Bear franchise, seem to be making improvements to the sites and roads. Very shady campground, located right outside of town on a main road (stores w/I a few minutes drive). Our site was in the back row, had 2 neighbors several sites away for the first night but after that we were alone, so very private. Though the other campers seemed very aloof and unfriendly, they drove around in gas powered golf carts and no "hi", no waving. The sites are being leveled, though we almost slide off a ledge of gravel and this was our first big scare w/the camper in our 3rd yr of camping. The cable boxes are in the woods every 3 sites, so had to go out an buy 100 ft cable. The pool is huge, we didn't partake in the daily activities as we were out the 2 days there so can't comment on them. Our kids liked biking around and the huge fish in the feeding ponds, can't call it a "fishing pond". The small store was fine, kids liked the arcade.
We saw very little employees, or if they were employees they never introduced themselves or checked on us. The young girl in the office was sweet, but knew nothing about area or the campground its self, and had no means of finding us information. Asked about nearby fishing at the 20 lakes in a 30 mile radius, she knew nothing. Finally a local gave us directions to a hidden boat launch nearby w/a little beach, was perfect for kids to caught small pumpkin fish and pikes. An older lady at the desk was more helpful but only saw her the last day. The location is good, the KOA is so far out of town would not consider that. Maybe in a few years will try here again. - K S
