We enjoyed our stay here. Nothing fancy and a lot of seasonals. Laundry and bathroom/showers clean and nice looked new. You can rent kayaks, canoes and motor boats. Nice beach area. All back-in sites. Some on water. Wasn't happy about the $3.00 a day charge for pets. Seasonals dogs were off leash, there is your problem. Road (16) leading to CG is terrible, slow down. Logging road. We would stay here again if in the area. FHU all good. They have cable/satellite $3.00/day. We camped at Cupsuptic Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

A local non-profit conservancy group owns this campground and they are doing quite a bit to upgrade the campground. The sites are very nice, large, and private. The on-site managers are very friendly and helpful. There are several non-FHU sites sitting right on the lake. Beautiful area - we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cupsuptic Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Great campground. Clean, CLEAN bathrooms and showers. Very nice bath house facility. Lots of kids and lots of dogs, which were no problem at all, actually made us feel better about the occasional bark from our own dogs. Very friendly and staff, beautiful location, on Cupsuptic lake, 10-15 min to Rangeley/5-10 min to Oquossoc. If you're a seasoned pro at towing a camper, take rt. 17 up over Height of Land (be sure to stop at the over-look), if not, take rte 4, via Farmington, the road is in much better shape, and less crowned, it only takes about 25 minutes longer. We camped at Cupsuptic Campgrounds in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is a gem hidden in the Maine forest. Managers and staff friendly and helpful. Camp store has a decent selection. Beautiful park in a beautiful water oriented location. The day use sites allow you to take your chairs, coolers, etc to the water front to enjoy your day by the water. Lake water clear, cool and refreshing. Wifi only at the pavilion, individual bathrooms clean and roomy. Only stayed three days but glad we did, stayed on two different sites 55 & 60, both spacious and utilities well located, enjoyed a nice breeze off the lake on site 55. We camped at Cupsuptic Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

My first time travelling far from the interstates with a 40' fifth wheel. Most roads in poor condition, narrow and potholed, deeply crowned. My wife enjoy the scenic beauty of the area while I drove whited knuckled down the roads. With that said, I would do it again because I enjoyed the tranquil beauty of the area and it was worth it. Traveled RT16 from Gorham, NH and then RT4 & RT27 to I95, it was an adventure and really had no problems towing a 13'6" tall, 40' long fifth wheel.

Beautiful lake, swimming, boat dock, nature trail, snack store and pavillion with wi-fi. Site wi-fi not available. Extra cost for dogs and visitors and cable tv. All things considered this is our favorite park and we have been to dozens and dozens.

The campground was super clean and the staff were very friendly. Upon arrival they offered to give us a ride to the site on a golf cart so we could get a feel for how to approach the site (back down road ref drive straight). We will definitely be going back! Tips for other Campers:

Avoid RT 17 if hauling a camper / 5er. The road is very rough and narrow in spots and is almost always being worked on. Coming from the south I'd recommend RT4 from Farmington. Want an incredible view from Mt. Katahdin to the White Mountains? Go to Quill Hill in Dallas Plantation.

Overall Rating:

Very nice campground. Well maintained level back in full service 50 amp sites. Fire rings and picnic tables at @ site. Right on the lake with beach, dock and rentals. Almost new shower/laundry/pavilion with large fireplace and games. Free wifi at the pavilion. Cell service okay. Large trees and beautiful area. Nice store. The only downside was the service. It was moose season and the managers came and went as they pleased, so if you needed anything you had to watch when they returned (live on property). Will stay here again. We camped at Cupsuptic Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
