Horrible campground. Ruts in the dirt roadway. Full of full timers. Advertised a pull thru, but could not pull thru because trees and a non-movable fire pit was in the way. Had to back out thru mud. Several mud pits from RVs attempting to get out and getting stuck. The sites are grass and dirt, no gravel. Several trees in the way of getting in or out of a site. Too close together. We camped at Apache Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Being avid campers we thought we found a gem, beautiful lake, beautiful area. Close to Wells and Ogunquit. The lake is great for swimming and fishing. There is also a swimming pool. The camp sites are well shaded and a good size for tent campers. Lots of seasonals - and appears to be a very cliquey, gossipy campground. While sitting on the beach a conversation was overheard about who was divorcing who and selling their campers, etc. Most of the seasonals are from Maine and it is clear of the favoritism in the campground. Certain rules apply to certain people and clearly do not apply to the seasonals. Supposed to be no drinking on beach but there is. Lots of older seasonals driving around and checking on the campers and then reporting back to owners. Hand dryers in bathroom did not work. Really too bad because it is a beautiful lake and close proximity to Wells & Ogunquit. We camped at Apache Campground in a Tent.

Park has large sites, pool, lake, play ground and Wi-Fi for only $35 (US). Restrooms are clean, but the stalls are not much bigger than the camper's. Showers had plenty of hot water and the 25 cent timer was more than enough time. Pool is four foot deep at both ends and area is spotless. Lake beach is good size and clean. Plenty of room for picnics. Half hour ride to route 1, the beaches and tourist area. We camped at Apache Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Staying here for a couple of nights because of the RVPark reviews of previous posters. Your GPS will take you a back way to get here. Call and get directions. We are in site B-18. Only have 30 amps here with good water and sewer. We are one site off the lake. This site gets good satellite reception. Grass muddy here after a rain. Site is 60 feet long by 50 feet wide. Plenty of space for your rig and tow. It's 12 miles inland from the beach. Nice and quiet so good for sleeping. You can rent canoes here but can't swim in the lake. Quite a few seasonals here. Nice place to spend some quiet time. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Apache Campground in a Motorhome.

Came back again this year so I wanted to post another review. A great campground which is hidden from view. No website, no big ad's, just a genuine family-owned campground with a pool and lake. Most sites are large with pull-through ability. Owner's have added a Wi-Fi hot-spot at the office which works well. They have placed a table and chairs outside and there is a plug nearby for charging/running your laptop. Owner's run around during week and grass is always mowed, the pool is always clean, the beach is raked weekly and the roads are graded. We camped at Apache Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here locally to our home to try out our new camper. We had a rough start as we stated that the site MUST be 5th wheel friendly with no low hanging branches. What I got was a large pull-thru with branches hanging over the entry to the site that would have ripped open my roof. After chatting they offered another site that was more roof friendly. Beside that gripe the roads were in good shape, the hookups were good with 30amp power, a 20amp aux. power source, water and sewer. The site was good sized and faced Estes Lake and offered a nice view of the water. The site was wet but the area had abnormal rainfall and it was livable. The playground had one piece of modern equipment which was small but the kids still liked it. The lake was the draw and was clean with a nice beach area. A walk around showed that the campground has a large seasonal population who seemed friendly and had sites that weren't a dump like other places I've stayed. I would recommend them. We camped at Apache Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
