We had one of three pull throughs that overlooked the playground. There are quite a few seasonal campers. It's a nice wooded campground. We were there before Memorial Day so the pool wasn't open and the campground wasn't full. We were there to visit the surrounding area so it served our purposes. Friendly staff and the park is well maintained. Except the bathroom/showers could use an upgrade but they were clean. Two washers and two dryers in the laundry room. $2.00 each. Cable and WiFi both worked well. Took us a couple trys and some boards to get level. - Patricia57
Aug 2017 - $38.00
We used this as a quick overnight spot. The staff was so very nice and helpful. We used the dump station on arrival as we had a site without sewer (our choice) and the gentleman in a cart waited patiently for us, then escorted us to our site. The site was in the woods and totally shaded which was good in August in Maine. The site was easy to back into. The parking pad was dirt/grass and we had just a little leveling to do. All electric and water connections were in good shape, no corrosion. The site was far from the toilets and bathhouse. Showers looked to be coin operated. We keep a voltage meter on and saw that voltage dropped to about 105 around 7:00 but recovered to 113 at 8:30 and fully back to 120 by 9pm. We use a surge protector to safeguard our rv as fluctuations do happen everywhere. Dump station was clean, tidy and totally organized. The campground provided the drain sewer hose and the rinse hose so our time there was quick and easy. Lovely place run by lovely folks. - khorne

The owners bust their humps to be courteous and helpful. Mostly seasonal people here who are quite friendly. They're dog friendly. It's a gated, safe park for sure. You're situated about 10 miles from stores you need. They have a pool, 2 washers and two dryers. They sell firewood as well. The sites are much larger than most places overall. Wifi but no cable at ours and antenna picked up nothing really. There are sites in the woods as well for smaller units. - WhiskerCamping

Probably the best campground I've been to. No frills, but solid amenities, nice sites, and great staff. The fellow, who runs the place, is great! He helped us get the water working on our new TT. He was very funny, helpful, and all around just a good guy. We camped very early in the season, it was not very busy. Really nice pull through site and a dump station, very large and easy to use. It looks like the majority of sites are seasonals. When we arrived, we thought there were only a few campers, the next morning we noticed a bunch of seasonals there - we didn't even know! That's how quiet it is there! - dewnut
Sep 2016 - $27.00
I feel that a 6 accurately depicts this campground. There were some positives and negatives to the campground. The campground does provide free firewood (nice benefit) and was only 27.00 per night before taxes. There are a variety of sites, seasonal, tent, and rv sites. We were given an escort to our site and told that if we could not back into our site they would use a tractor to park the camper. Most of the rv sites are spacious, however the site that we were given was very tight for my 30 foot travel trailer. I was able to back my trailer into the site and I did need to prune a few branches as they were up against my trailer. The pedestal was at the very back of the site, which means you need a long hose for both water and a power supply. The water pressure was very low but the electricity worked well. No sewer, wifi, or cable on the site. I did manage to get a few channels on the antenna. I did not use the shower in the trailer as the water pressure was to low and decided to use the restroom in the campground. However, I feel that the shower really could use a more thorough cleaning. Aside from the fact that this is an adult campground, that does not need to mean there should be absolutely nothing to do. Labor day weekend, you would think some campground activities would be on the schedule for people to participate in. - clw_man
Aug 2016 - $27.00
This is an adult only park so it is mellow and low key--delightfully quiet. The park is rustic with the sites as nature created them--apart from the water and electric. It is what remains of a homestead, and the stone foundation of the farmhouse that burned down is in the middle of the grounds-- and at the entrance is the family burial plot. Makes for an unusual RV park--but a delightful one it is. The internal roads offer pleasant walks and they can be taken out into a more secluded area of woods and fields that are being conserved. My site itself was reasonably level and utilities easy to access. Pump out service is provided at a nominal fee. They have a heated swimming pool. If I recall correctly my Verizon worked OK. This park was a delight; I did not want to leave. - nanzhere

Jul 2017 - $50.00
Very nice pet and family friendly campground. The owners are wonderful and work so hard to make sure everything is great for everyone. Constantly working to improve the grounds. Went for a weekend and ended up getting a seasonal site. We are still exploring the ATV trails in the area and have found so far that the wooded trail off of the power lines are the best so far. Very scenic and we'll maintained. - JennaN
Sep 2009 - $29.00
This is a great campground for ATV's. I came with my family and friends. The seasonal people were great: they knew all the trails and shared their info with us. One gentleman helped a friend of ours with the use of his tools and his time. The owners were very friendly and even came by to see if we needed anything. We were also invited to a community fire. The sites were pretty good in size. We went late in the camping seasons so the pool was closed. We plan to go back next year. Our friends are considering purchasing a seasonal site. - scott2000
Jun 2007 - $25.00
Quiet campground, mostly seasonals. New owners, who are working hard to make it an even better campground. Nice pool and recreation room. Playground for children. We are seasoning there this summer. The rate listed above, is not the rate we paid, but the rate listed on the web site. What could make it better would be more 3 ways hookups (currently only 2 of the seasonal sites have 3-way hookup); and some type of cable or satellite TV hookup. - PJinNH

Oct 2015 - $55.00
Being avid campers we thought we found a gem, beautiful lake, beautiful area. Close to Wells and Ogunquit. The lake is great for swimming and fishing. There is also a swimming pool. The camp sites are well shaded and a good size for tent campers. Lots of seasonals - and appears to be a very cliquey, gossipy campground. While sitting on the beach a conversation was overheard about who was divorcing who and selling their campers, etc. Most of the seasonals are from Maine and it is clear of the favoritism in the campground. Certain rules apply to certain people and clearly do not apply to the seasonals. Supposed to be no drinking on beach but there is. Lots of older seasonals driving around and checking on the campers and then reporting back to owners. Hand dryers in bathroom did not work. Really too bad because it is a beautiful lake and close proximity to Wells & Ogunquit. - LoveToCamp55NC
Aug 2010 - $35.00
Park has large sites, pool, lake, play ground and Wi-Fi for only $35 (US). Restrooms are clean, but the stalls are not much bigger than the camper's. Showers had plenty of hot water and the 25 cent timer was more than enough time. Pool is four foot deep at both ends and area is spotless. Lake beach is good size and clean. Plenty of room for picnics. Half hour ride to route 1, the beaches and tourist area. - BIKER1MIKE
Jun 2010 - $30.00
Staying here for a couple of nights because of the RVPark reviews of previous posters. Your GPS will take you a back way to get here. Call and get directions. We are in site B-18. Only have 30 amps here with good water and sewer. We are one site off the lake. This site gets good satellite reception. Grass muddy here after a rain. Site is 60 feet long by 50 feet wide. Plenty of space for your rig and tow. It's 12 miles inland from the beach. Nice and quiet so good for sleeping. You can rent canoes here but can't swim in the lake. Quite a few seasonals here. Nice place to spend some quiet time. Would stay here again if in the area. - Bluebird Bob

Scott's Cove is a small "rustic" campground with about 50 sites, mostly seasonal. We love it because it is very quiet during the week and most weekends. The small beach is great for swimming and dock space is available on request. This may not be the best campground for small children, but it does have a pirate ship playground and a grassy field to play in. The campground is centrally located between the Me Coast and the White mountains of NH. - Bill Spinney

Sep 2017 - $40.00
Most of the park is long term seasonal. Most are well maintained, but some not so much. Very much a family atmosphere with kids riding around on bikes, and adults on golf carts. It is an older park that is family run in a heavily forested location. I have stayed here 2 times because it is located in an area I wanted to be, and would not hesitate to return. Reservation requires advance payment of one nights stay. No credit cards. - mroswell
Oct 2014 - $22.00
This is a hidden jewel. We stayed here two weeks because it was close to our relatives. We made a good decision. They do not accept credit cards, but will take checks or cash. The staff is wonderful, helpful and friendly. There is a fully stocked store, ball park, pool, recreation room, snack bar and fishing pond. Most of the sites are occupied by seasonal tenants, but the park is very clean and pleasing to camp within. Everyone we encountered was friendly and neighborly. Our only complaint would be the weekend band at the pub located up the hill on the highway. On Fridays and Saturdays they play loud music late into the night and we had no trouble hearing them. This was minimal, so not a huge issue. We would definitely stay again. - normav

This park is mainly seasonal, with lots of tent sites and a few transient spaces for RV's 35' and under. Our site provided plenty of room. It is dog friendly with plenty of room for exercising. The facility is older, and in need of upgrades to the showers and other areas. The owners are on site and helpful and the seasonal folks are friendly. We used this as our base while we explored the Maine coast. - tusquilter
Aug 2012 - $36.00
This is a seasonal park with a few transient sites and tent sites. Camp store is t-shirts only. Bathrooms are old but cleaned often. Play ground is old and in need of repair. A low cost campground to use a base while vacationing in Southern Maine. Staff was present at all times and seasonals were polite.. Our site was large and other transient sites were very big compared to coastal camps. - BIKER1MIKE

This is a park that really caters to families and they do a good job. If you have a newer large motorhome they have a rally field and some pull thrus that will accommodate you. Our site was a pull thru in the trees, but had a hole where could get a satellite signal. Not all sites, except the rally field, will be so lucky. Sites and roads are gravel/sandy.
I enjoyed my stay and found the park to be easier to maneuver in than I expected. Signs to assist you to your sites location would be helpful. - peddy dick
Jul 2015 - $50.00
Great campground with very friendly and patriotic owners. Very well groomed sites, with much variety and lots of privacy in the wooded layout. We will definitely return. - Mr Joe P
May 2015 - $55.00
This was our 4th visit here and it is just a nice place with great owners. Our site has been great, large, level with room to spare. Some parts of the campground, near the water, put in by the original owners can be tight but you get a view. This campground was quite dusty this weekend with it being so dry. They water the roads to keep some of the dust down. The owners are always doing something to clean or improve something. Just a great campground. If there was a negative, it was with a few campers who feel the leash rule for dogs did not apply to them as one day we had 3 different dogs come after our dog. We will return at some point to camp again. - Happy Camper X2

Jul 2018 - $75.00
This campground offers lots of amenities and activities, and a river for tubing. Our site was large and level. 2 pools, one with a water slide, and each with a hot tub. Campground is a bit dated, we were told that there are new owners, you could see a few improvements already with new signage and the rec hall seemed updated. Also looked like new utilities at most of the sites in the section we were in. There is a road that splits the campground, and this was a big distraction as you could always hear trucks and motorcycles from the campground, including one very loud car at 4:30am. Campground roads were very dusty, every vehicle had a layer of dust on it by Sunday morning. Maintenance is lacking and rules were not enforced. We saw wet clothes left around the pool, band aids, litter etc, and the park staff did not seem interested in picking up. Staff and campers all seemed very nice. For the price we paid, I expected a park with better maintenance. The river tubing was pleasant at the campground, water was comfortable, but very little current. We had to paddle ourselves to get down river. They offered a church service Sunday morning, and a treasure hunt on Saturday. The road that splits the campground prevents me from wanting to return. - Mavenheath
Jul 2017 - $68.00
It's nice but just ok. Place is huge but was somewhat empty. We were in the North in between the busy road and several seasonals. Both were noisy and made for a somewhat less relaxing weekend. The road between the 2 halves is about 15' behind our camper we and listened to everything from trucks, motorcycles, and cars with no mufflers bombing up the hill all day and night. Not a fault of the owners but still a negative. There were a lot of empty full hookup sites in the wooded river side. Not sure why we were sent here. We saw a backhoe delivering full buckets of nice firewood to the seasonals but we were stuck with the tiny packages of wood. When I inquired about the other wood the kid at the store didn't know what I was talking about even though it drove right past him. The tubing entrance to the river seemed sketchy and other amenities showed a lack of maintenance for the $ this place charges. The hot tub on our side looked nice but was out of order. The dog park was a bit depressing being out of the way behind the parking lot and down the rutted dirt road. I felt like there should've been a dumpster and abandoned trucks back there to complete the feel. Sasha didn't care for it Our site was a decent size and fairly level and was easy to get into. It did have a great mix of sun and shade. We saw both larger and tighter sites here. There are a lot of activities for the kids. It's not a bad place but we most likely will not return. - April n John
Sep 2015 - $64.00
This campground has decent pools and a nice slide. However, the sites are very cramped and unlevel, there are pieces of trash all over and the quiet time is really not enforced. In addition, if you don't care for dogs, this isn't your campground. It seemed everyone had their dog on our visit. - lopenzani

This inland park was chosen as a jumping-off spot for day trips to southern Maine and Portsmouth, N.H. A reverse polarity condition was detected by our electrical protection equipment at the first assigned site, #20. Management readily agreed to a site change to #13 (another 30-amper, at a slightly higher price). It passed the electrical tests and was surfaced with gravel rather than sand. It did take several boards to level our motor home. Rules took up entire page of tiny type - estimated to be more than 1,200 words - and did not mention that guests were charged fees. WiFi was very good in the near-empty park. The day after Labor Day the swimming pool was already closed. Clam Chowder at Union Bluff Hotel in York Beach was as excellent as it was when we tried it a couple of years ago. The Oar House in Plymouth provided a fine dinner. - Mtmoi

They charged for every thing , For people to visit 6.00 per person 25 cents for 6mins.at bath house. One Lady was real nice and the other lady was real rude. Would not stay again, I saw a lot more nice parks is the area. - Ronald Briley

Another great stay at Beaver Dam. Our site was perfect, great location, full hook up, plenty of space and nice stone pad to park on. This was a beautiful, quiet peaceful weekend and we loved every minute of it. You can't go wrong camping here. - Happy Camper X2
