Wifi not readily available in the RV but a recreation room nearby had access. There was a huge fenced dog park that allowed freedom for our pets. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent a week at Narrows Too. Next time I'm in the area this will be my park again. Right on the water. Awesome spacious dog park. We had an apple tree at our site. Our dogs loved them. Bigger RV sites. Ours was a pull in site. Quiet campground. There weren't a lot of kids during the week. There is a pool but it was closed for the season. Lots of equipment to play outside. Bad mitten and horse shoes to mention a few. There was in an indoor area with lots of chairs and kitchen from what I could see. Locked the couple times I went by. Maybe seasonal. Showers were three individual rooms (one bigger handicap) Never seen that before. Liked it. I never used them. Huge laundry room. Ladies in office were really friendly. I went in to ask a question and we must have talked half an hour. They gave us lots of suggestions on things to do and places to eat. There is free bus service available. Not sure how it works. We drove our car everywhere. The whole campground is kept up 100%. They even grade the gravel when someone leaves. Hard working employees and it shows. Highly recommend! We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

This was an average campground for me. The park was clean but really didn't have an amenities. They charge a resort fee but I'm not sure why. The pool was closed. I don't know how they can call it a resort when it was nothing special about the grounds. They do have cable tv but the reception was horrible. The spaces were large and we did pull in and did not have to unhook our tow dolly. Always a plus for us. There was really lack of information from the staff in the office. Great Park with easy access roads. Flat, level, gravel sites. Great for big rigs. We stayed here in 36’ Motor Home. Staff was very helpful with attractions to see, including maps and info on the area. Island bus is free and picks up at park. Overall Rating:

As Thousand Trails members, this park is included as one of our 'stay free' campgrounds and we return as often as possible when on the east coast. Those paying retail can expect to spend $60- $100 a night, depending on the sites type. They offer water views that are truly stunning. All sites are level, but close together so meet your neighbor! As a bonus, this campground is on the FREE SHUTTLE that runs all over the island. This campground is nicely located just before the Trenton Bridge entrance to Mount Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park, numerous fishing villages and lots of beautiful hiking and biking. Its also home to trendy Bar Harbor, and visiting hordes from the many large ships that visit, so bring your deeper pockets as prices are high. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Look for specials at lobster pounds (Trenton Bridge had the best prices this time around). Ruth & Whimpy's Lobster Restaurant has specials most nights. Explore the Schoodic Sculpture Trail (Google it) to see lots of small village with large, granite sculptures. Don't miss Schoodic Peninsula, the other side of Acadia National Park. August is wild blueberry season (pick some!).

We stayed here for 2 weeks as we were hiking each day in Acadia National Park. This park has all gravel roads and sites (very dusty). We were in a back-in, which they normally put motorhomes in the drive in's or pull thrus. Not an issue for us, but we did see many 5er's that were put into motorhome sites, so they had to run their utilities under their rig. This CG has a stoplight at the road which makes it safe and easy to get into and out of the park. The views from the park are awesome. The staff was helpful and kind. Our pedestal power went out one evening and the after hours MX guy came over and replaced the breaker in a timely manner. We liked the location not being too close to town, although there is a free shuttle service from the park to downtown Bar Harbor that runs everyday (highly recommend). The park is super quiet at night. Walmart is only 4 miles away which was great for getting groceries. We will return. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

We stayed for a whole month here and found it very relaxing. We preferred the side area 848 rather than the pull through areas. I think it is a slightly older crowd than the other park which suited us. The pool was warm a delight for me coming from Florida. I would highly recommend staying here and enjoying the surrounding area so much to do. We camped at Narrows Too Camping Resort - Thousand Trails in a Motorhome.

Interior roads are gravel as are the sites. It can get dusty. Power and water pressure were good. On weekends they had some type of entertainment in the evening. The Islander shuttle stops at the park, offering free transportation to town and Acadia National Park. Just outside the park are 3 different lobster pounds so food is nearby. 1/2 mile away is an IGA grocery store. Park has a heated pool, but we did not use it. There is a large fenced in dog park. Some of the water front sites are very close together, enough so that you can't deploy your awning. Others have more room. Big rig friendly. Lobster pounds just outside the park. Free shuttle bus to town and the national park. Starting this year, they now charge for parking in Bar Harbor and they are enforcing it. The meters and kiosks take credit cards.

Great park and very nice employees. The check in process included tons of information about Acadia-National-Park and local things to do. If you are here to see Acadia, this is also a stop for the free shuttle. Trust me, you want to use the shuttle. Our site had no shade/trees, but some areas have plenty. Great dog park on site, but be aware that it is not completely fenced. Note; We did not pay any additional cost beyond our TT membership.
