Overall Rating:

Site was long but very close to other sites. Some of the pull through sites in the "transient" section had a little more room on the sides but all are very long. Wifi and OTA TV were poor. No cable TV. Laundry and bath house were fairly far away. Sometimes difficult to make the turn out on to the main highway due to traffic, but location provides good access to Ellsworth and Trenton as well as Mount Desert Island. Satisfied with my stay but would probably look elsewhere next time. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very quiet, very loooong narrow sites for the non seasonal. Our site was probably the longest I have ever stayed in but very narrow as in another rig about 20 feet on either side. No cable TV, no trees so Direct TV worked. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We spent a month at Timberland Acres RV Park from mid-June to mid-July in a 39' fifth wheel. We stayed in a long pull-through site that was more than long enough for our fifth wheel, tow vehicle and a car. Most of the shaded sites are occupied by seasonal campers but the pull-through sites are in the open and have regular turnover. The staff in the office were very helpful. The campground is a few miles further from Acadia NP and Bar Harbor than some other campgrounds but is much more affordable and has bigger sites. The free shuttle bus into Bar Harbor runs from the Acadia Gateway Center which is four miles south of the campground. We plan to return to this campground. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Would stay here again. Yes, it's not on the island however its quiet, big long spaces towards the back. Some so big I cannot believe they have not made them two. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is the sites need to be leveled and it could be done with only a little bit of work as they are not horrible. The guy who cleans up after one empties could start by just using his rake and pay attention. However a blade would fix most in about 15 mins. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Traveling in a 43ft Class A with 4 slides and tow vehicle. This is a big rig friendly park. Interior roads are easy to navigate and easy to pull into/out of sites. Quiet and convenient to Acadia Nat'l Park and other sites in Bar Harbor area. Full hookups, electric was good but water pressure dropped a couple of the days causing us to have to run the pump for water. Utilities were conveniently located and site was level. Good amenities especially for kids. Very friendly staff. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 10 days at $459.00. Pull through sites were very long but close together. WiFi not good at all. Laundry on site at $2.50 a wash and $2.50 a load to dry. Machine small and old. Have traveled all over the US and have never paid that much. People in office nice. We would stay again. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We camped here as a base for visiting Acadia National Park. The staff was great. Check in was quick and they had a lot of local information for us. The parking area for check in was large and we were able to disconnect our toad at the site. The site was long. Plenty of room for the coach and CRV. It was opening weekend and there were about 20-30 other campers, none were close to our site. When full, it will be cozy with your neighbors. There were no trees in this area. We didn't use any of the facilities. The electric, water and sewer worked well. I did use a pressure valve for the water. The park has two area, one wooded and looked like seasonal sites. One open with pull throughs and back in sites on the edges. The park roads are paved and easy to maneuver. They claim no rig too big and they can accommodate any size here. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

The pull thru site we had was the longest pull thru site we have ever had. Site was level. 50 amp service was good, leg 1 - 122v and leg 2 - 122v. Water pressure was 42 PSI. Sewer connection about 6 inches above ground level. New picnic tables. There is free WiFi provided by Tango Internet. Performance was good with 5.00 Mbps download, 7.53 upload and ping of 145 ms. Acadia NP Satellite reception was not a problem. Good paved roads throughout campground. Very quiet. Although there is a game room and a playground this campground appears made up of mostly 55+. Lots of seasonals 'snow birds' here. Most seasonals leave their RVs by the end of October and head south for the winter. Campground is well maintained, although a bit on the older side. Grass was mowed and overall the campground is clean. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice cg near Acadia Nat'l Park. I don't remember what price we paid with out Good Sam's discount. Wide, looping roads with seasonal and transient people. People were friendly. The national park and Bar Harbor is why people come. While this is a nice park there is no dog area or anything else really special. Location, location, location. Tips for other Campers:

Make sure to hike Jacobs Pond and stop for the popovers. Yummy!! Also, Seal Cove Auto Museum is a must see. Many one of a kind historical cars on display. Extremely good descriptions and there is a display about how cars came to be allowed in Acadia. An audible pros and cons presentation on whether cars should continue to be allowed. Due to crowding they are looking for alternatives to manage the cars and people tredding on the grounds and air quality.

Very well maintained privately owned campground. Seasonal area is a bit tight, but, well laid out with FHU sites. Pool looks good, but, I never used it. They are always having some kind of events there, Pancake breakfasts and such and it seems to be very well received too. Front office staff is superb and very friendly. Grounds crew is 100% on top of maintenance, probably best I have seen on that front. While it is strange that they only have the one bath area for all of their sites, in truth, I never ran into more than one other shower in use, out of the 5, the entire season, so it works. VERY well kept bathrooms by the way. Will most certainly stay again. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Large park with very easy access, roads are easy to navigate and sites are long with plenty of pull throughs. However sites are kind of close together. Seasonals are along the tree line while transients are in the middle in an open field. Basic utilities are satisfactory, need a sponge ring for septic. Park has wifi which all though is regulated is fairly strong and sufficient for email, searching, news, etc. No cable. Over air is about 10 channels. Park is located approx 20 minutes from Bar Harbor with very easy access. Office is well run and efficient. Owners take great care in maintaining sites, facilities and order. Sites are fairly close together, our picnic table was approx 4 feet from neighbors septic. We camped at Timberland Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.
